Two more days, and then the asinine declarations of imminent victory will necessarily cease. The buffoons will have to switch from crowing about their "imminent victory" (aborted) to bitching and moaning about the imminent failures of the winning candidate (whom they will work tirelessly to obstruct, undermine, sabotage and subvert).

Independents Neither side knows how they voted, but chances are greater they voted for Romney rather than Obama. Pssst...your bias is showing. Ahh, all polls show independents are leaning Romney this year. And, I have never indicated not being a Republican.

And despite, Virgil's political header it is two really long days until this mess is sorted out. Unlesss, MSNBC want to publicly declare Obama the winner tomorrow morning......
Anyway, everyone, good luck, may the best nominee win, for the sake of the Nation, and above everything else,
VOTE! Thanks for the political discussion. It has been interesting.

Nate Silver has a 13% chance of Mitt winning and Intrade has it at 67% of an Obama win.
Even if the polls are off somewhat it still looks like its over.
We didnt believe the polls in 2008 and I guess we dont want to believe them in 2012 either.

What, all those polls you keep saying are wrong and useless? So they are only wrong if they disagree with you? I know you are a republican. I am just pointing out it is affecting your judgement. Like you judgement in which polls are good & which are crap.

Well Romney's head campaign guy is confident of a victory so I guess that's that. (Using PBP logic too- or is PBP using his? )

In the last polls released, Romney has a razor thin lead in the national polls. The problem is, the President does take the large EC states, garnering a large number of votes, with few states actually voting for him. Looks like Wisconsin will go Obama, although we all know the citizens of Wisconsin have been known to defeat the polls, ala, recall of their Governor.

I know some people have said, their vote will not count in their state, due to the opposing nominee having already locked up their state, to their chagrin. I believe this vote will be so close this year, about a 1/4 of a percent difference nationwide, between the President and Romney, that it is important to cast the vote for your favorite. The winner of the election does need a voter mandate showing a majority of voters actually voted for him.

1992 1996 2000 2004 all razor thin or under 50%. This year will be the same.

We should know who the President is in about 14 to 15 hours. Good luck to all! If you have not vote, please do so.

I was thinking about the television show, "Survivor", this morning. If you are familiar with it, you understand that the game is premised on Survivors getting together, garnering poower to elimnate their rivals (much like the primaries) and the team with "numbers" control the game. To a point. As members disappear, via being voted out, the power switches from surviving triber members to the council ( the voters) who then eventually vote on the last tribe members standing. It is now out of the hands of the media and the pollsters, and strictly up to registered voters. I do not care who you are for, I just weant you to go out and vote today, if you are registered. Every vote will count today. It is that close.

I'm getting discouraged. I have been voting for Pogo for 60 years, and he still hasn't won...

So are you suggesting we throw all the wanna be candidates on an island and let them fight it out, then let the winner be president for the next four years? And we can televise the whole thing? Cause that sounds awesome. Kind of like The Hunger Games, only with most of the participants being slow moving older white guys. Except it needs to be a COLD island, most of these candidates we don't want to see topless.
