I went and read the spin off episodes of an Assistants life on EE and just kept shaking my head at how crazy it was...talk about being completely unsatisfied with every aspect of life and a nit picking things like what shoes another employee is wearing and reporting folks for dress code at work? I mean seriously?   |

I have a question. I use the "new topics" button to see who's talking where and what I might like to join in on. I just saw a thread appear in the "new topics" section and went to read. The time between the last post and the post right before it is like a month. Do any of you search through pages and pages of old threads to bring back up and comment on? Am I the only one that thinks this is really strange? |

Admin to the rescue.
A Project Manager wanted his drawings printed to blueprint size paper. I told him no problem I'll send them out to be picked up same day at 10AM and returned next day at 10AM. He now adds he wants them back by 12NOON same day!. But delivery is 10AM, 1PM and 4PM. so I can have them rush and have them back at 1PM. he said no good I need to leave out of the office by 12noon absolute latest, meaning he wanted them back probably by 11AM.
I said ok no problem I'll take care of it.
I called the copy place and warned them I have a rush, double rush job can they help?
I got in my car and took the originals over to the copy place, waited til they finished and brought them back just before 11AM.

 at work I'm up for my new laptop which will have Windows 7!!! YES!!! and at great timing too - because I wasn't looking forward to the upgrade few years ago. I had just got W7 at home and as with change or upgrades go I didn't know how to navigate around W7 so I didn't want it at work because it would take me too long personally to get daily routine accomplished. so now that I so much like W7 over Windows XP - I couldn't wait till my work laptop lease is up I was thinking of sending back early - but I knew it's NOT that serious and to just calm down / be patient!!! ;D I'm going to loose some of the programs I have on my current PC and not too sure how I can transfer them over? I downloaded programs for work like years ago - not sure where they came from so I can just redownload when IT contacted me I asked if these programs can be transferred over because I know they are not company programs? he basically said we'll see what we can do. which maybe he will transfer the programs because I can / do get special treatment or he may not be able to transfer the programs? I'll just have to wait and see? ;D

No NO NO NOOO NO NNOOOO no more!!!  I am not purchasing any more store brand or generic brand products from the grocery store. this year may be the year of savings - which is why I thought I would give it one more try. I did only two full grocery shopping purchases last year purchasing generic or store brand or just cheaper cost items so yea ...I did save a few bucks but the taste   and I don't agree with throw it out because of bad taste - I still ate it..... hell I had no idea of a brand actually called BIMBO Bread!! I purchased Bimbo bread instead of the normal Wonder bread I always purchase so I recently purchased 2 packs of store brand bacon instead of the Oscar Mayer I purchased TWO packs and was STILL a little cheaper than the one pack of Oscar Meyer I didn't burn it, it was just tough, or hard, and chew'e! AND it was that way for both packs! so this year is the year of savings AND no more product loyalty so if I see a sale on another brand - NAME brand cheaper than my product loyalty brand - I'll switch |

yea - so it's been a good week I'm back on a regular exercise routine in the most unlikely event she may want to see me..... I'm thinking she will not ask to go out and if she does I'm saying no - not until I drop 10 pounds. but if she asks me to help her move out .....  I have to go help - so that is a 50/50 chance of that happening if I can get past that....her move in date - I think I'm good - and well see her after I loose some weight  |

Had a wonderful weekend. Saturday was the busy day - stayed awake all day and night keeping busy Sunday did nothing being horribly lazy and just pain got board Sunday night didn't even exercise -  no PS3 action cleared up some of my DVR and only washed dishes once |

Monday - I don't see why I'm so sleepy?  I just took a Stay Awake Pill - my eyes were closing at my desk.....so I popped a pill and as I remember 10 minutes later it kicks in now I'm awake but I can literally see my hands shaking. Thought I had enough for breakfast to prevent the shakes- but guess not. as I remember it will last for exactly 2 hours / so 8:10AM to 10:10AM I should make sure I'm sitting down when it wears off cause the energy or caffeine that's flowing will stop and legs get week. |

Mood: Laughing Subject Just Read Your Email so I get a call from a Manager asking what's the password to download a program I sent him? When I send these emails out the subject reads step 1, step 2, step 3 all three are simple emails with less than 20 lines -if all three were combined. so instead of just telling him I decided to have him read the email I asked the email came from me? asking for a password? how do you know it came from me? He said has your name in the from on this date? OH - it's one of the steps I forwarded - and it asks for a password I don't remember that he said I can send it back to you so you can see NO ...NO not a problem - just tell me what the first sentence reads? he read the sentence and it mentioned to see the part below in red bold then he read the part in red bold - Which contained ....what??? The Passwordthen he was all oh the password is this I then just said oh ok it's in the email cause I just forward the same message and just change the name - I don't read them anymore well not true -but I think he felt better.

still learning my way around my upgrade cell phone. and getting used to it's features and still discovering new stuff. feels good to catch up to you guys in the present. if I can just fine the record and notes feature I'm good! with previous smart phone I would press record and make myself reminder notes or record a coworker giving me instructions on computer help when I get home. Notes I use pretty much the same way. jot down some quick reminder notes for later.
on 3G network looking at AT&T commercials talking about how fast their network is we would laugh our asses off bacause I was like this is sooo untrue. Now Upgrade! 4G and it's yea pretty good and going well

Subject:Upgrade Work PC
YES!!! Work PC came in a little early. Windows 7 operating system!
I thought I was ready for the upgrade ....and well I think I am. I am able to navigate around it pretty good. still spending hours changing the setting to ...yes old stuff. like using the new email notification to the sound bite from the movie Europtrip (Beep Beep Mail Mutherfucka)
I had made plans to file while IT had my pc to transfer files to the new PC. But he was late getting to me and I had already started several other stuff. so when he did take the pc, I worked for about two more hours and went home around 1PM. Then decided to call my voicemail just to check. of course IT finished the transfer and was now waiting for me to get back to him so I can get my laptop. so BACK to work. LOL - the guy that did my transfer I've seen him take at most 3 days!! so I figured at least a day for me - NOPE - guess I got the hook up. cause he finished in hours

Subject: dentist
went to the dentist and we did two fillings at once. went back a week later for the third filling. while eating a tuna sandwich the filling started falling apart!
called the Dentist and he said well we can try another filling or a cap. went in for the cap 3 weeks later. while in the chair before he started he said this will cost $350! OH - soo ummm... so this is not a wasted trip lets do a cleaning instead. on the way out I asked the assistant how is the $350 paid can I get a bill or make payments or one shot kind of deal? she said to complete the cap is a two visit procedure - so two payments. DANG
I asked my boss if he thinks it's worth it. he has week teeth and is at his dentist OFTEN. of course he said yes. I'm like but it's in the back. he said it's a tooth you obviously use. YES get it done. I asked my dad. my dad said he went to his dentist last year and was told he is in great health and did a cleaning. but umm before that he said it had been AT LEAST 10 years before he saw a dentist. so I'm very interested in what he advises.
He said well if my breaks cost $500 would I fix my breaks? I said of course
He asked if I was going to do the interior of my show car for $1,000 would I do it? I said of course for what I want that's a deal! he said well why am I questioning about my teeth? my health is more important than my car! $350 is a reasonable price - I don't see the problem.
pfft! Fine Dad!
I just don't see spending that much - $150 sure no problem. I'm sure it costs more if I didn't have insurance so - ok fine I'll do it.

Mood: Tired Subject: Home Keeping Well Miss R. today is the real test day for the Ultimate Cloth. I have used one previously and it did work out pretty good. But the dust is back ....With vengeance - I planned on doing this major apartment cleaning on Saturday - but the first two errands took all of my energy and focus. Then today I was sleep ...actually sleep until 3PM!!! so it's a very late start but I'll get with the vacuum first and the sweeping, mopping, and dusting into the night. Well that's the plan anywayz!

Mood: Excited Subject: X-BFF I did get an invite for lunch. haven't lost any weight to see her. but it really doesn't matter as I was so close to saying YES! she accepts me for me so I'm fatter than when I last saw her - she doesn't care it's about me and I just want to look or feel better when I do see her.

Mood: Confused Subject: No Raise I know I said we get raises no matter what. I know I said the review process is a joke. I know I said our review process is a copy and paste from previous year I know I've said my boss doesn't even look at my list of responsibilities but this time got a little hurt when I got my raise because boss said thanks to the PM leaving he was able to give me a bit more of a raise. Which was less than my last raise.

Subject: Exercise Motivation
where is my motivation to exercise? I have lots and lots of ideas to loose weight. Lots and lots of ideas to exercise. and lots of suggestions on exercise AND loosing weight. but I keep coming up with excuses! I hate sweating! I hate being hot! I'm so easily embarrassed! if I can only stay consistent instead of on for a week and off for months? people around me accept me for me! my physical appearance is not hideous, disfigured, or unattractive! I'm just fat like any other black guy my age. so it's no big deal to loose weight - who the hell cares. guess I don't care cause if I did I'd do it.
there was a chick I was crushing on I haven't seen in a few years. so I asked her out to diner in a months time in advance. if she had said yes - I thought I would exercise for the entire month and the diner would be my reward. but she said no her and her boyfriend were pretty serious and he would not understand the two of us going out to diner. oh well
I thought I would find motivation when I ditched GF needs and wants before my needs and wants. Nope guess not - well I do get back on exercising more often now. just still not consistent.

Mood: Normal Subject: Texting while driving now that I've upgraded my cell phone - Thank You Very Much! I've lost the ability to text and drive. I wanted a slide out keyboard but none was available for the operating system I wanted so now I have this touch screen virtual keyboard. even once I get use to using this style keyboard I have to concentrate on the right letters before sending the text. with my previous smart phone I was able to use a stylus pen and could tap my message while driving without a problem. but now I have to look up drive look down concentrate type a little - keep in mind what I want to say - look up drive - look back down, and so on and so fourth. NOW I see the danger in texting while driving. LOL
