Can't say. I would like to see some numbers on that. My brother for example , is not tracked at all. He has regular customers.
What I can say, is that because of ebay , more products have an international market.
You saw my web stats. 50 60 Countries viewing every month. If I sold on line, I would use ebay to simplify things

Now that I believe 100%. I also agree with you that for a small-mid sized business using ebay is a smart way to do international business.

Until you try to ship it! Try shipping a rebuilt industrial transmission to Guam. And they want it yesterday. No wonder FEDEX does so well. I charged the customer $980 for the trans and $800 to ship it 2nd day air. I wish I could sell the transmission for $1780. There may be a global market but when the customer wants to buy your goods, they want it as fast as possible and as cheaply as possible. Time = $$$. I guess we have to re-think the global marketplace. Guam ain't around the corner nor can you digitize that transmission and email it. My point is you can buy from anywhere in the world but to transfer those goods takes alot of time or alot of money. How can you get those two things to merge towards the middle?

I think the shipping companies are working on that. There isn't much that a small or mid sized business can do as far a shipping because your relying on 3rd party shipping lines. However, your point about re-thinking the global market place is great. We are at the point where looking at expanding and franchising includes international.
A lot of these countries have illiteracy rates of 55%. There is a real opportunity for savvy business people to tap a market that has been treated like slaves.

Some more re-balacing info...
China's trade surplus decreased by 6.4% in 2010 compared to 2009. China's trade surplus has decreased by 36% in absolute US dollar terms, and has dropped by more than half (53%) in proportion to GDP over the past two years. So the ratio of China's current-account surplus to GDP is down to 4.6%, significantly below the recent peak of 11.3%, reached in 2007.

I almost feel sorry for China...except I don't. They tried to play the game with the western powers, but they look like Prom queens the day they lose their virginity. Legs wide open, hoping it wont hurt too much...

A great story, I know that the people that know will know what this is all about This time though at the end of this story.. WE all work together. This is a global one!!! The sons and daughter's of earth(consumers 65%) run the show. NA dosen't have to fight battles all along because the newest superpowers need A LOT of everything.. (I guess the slave thing didn't work out too well, eh?) Lucky for us that because we produce everything. Have conserved the fuel sources that we have and they will rely on for many years. The same things that happen economically to make the US and by extension Canada great, can happen again.. This time however instead of a civil war, the USA can have a Rennasanse. This time instead of one man standing up through government. We can use a network that connects us all. The network that is giving the last slaves on this plant their FREEDOM!!! That is what a man thought about a long time ago. Not the Internet, but that WE are ALL the sons and daughters of God(Earth)and all deserve a piece of the pie. FREE ENTERPRISE FTW!!!! Thanks JC en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_United_States_(1865%E2%80%931918)

The revolt in the ME still isn't the real story. Some know this. Some still talk about the events in the ME like they wrote it and foretold it so that's why it's happening. The message for China from Tahrir Square: www.ft.com/cms/s/0/233f88aa-361b-11e0-9b3b-00144feabdc0.html#axzz1DoNKdpe0 Time is relative to an individuals reality and the space they occupy.. The more individuals that accept a reality.. The more space it occupies! China is walking a tight rope!! Chinese Democracy!!!Chinese Democracy!!!!

I had a feeling you'd see that.. I thought it was a nice blend of the two ideas. That's why we are here. A word revolution, that is leading an American Renaissance.
