More like the death of the facist liberal world order. The idea China hasn't been "Westernized" is laughable. The idea of the silk road not being fully supported by "The West" is laughable. What I do love is how this idea of America dreading a mulipolar world. It has been my assertion since post one of this thread that it has been an underlying strategy to build China up because it's easier to walk with two legs. (See post #425) Strong nations within a global financial market where we all service our own economy. Thanks JC

I have heard for years now, from both sides of the isle, that China will their treasuries to "punish" the US.... Hyperbole always loses to the fact of mutually assured destruction. At one point that meant weapons, it's now evolved into economics; as was the plan oh so many centuries ago. All the big players agree, love, not war, makes more. Problem is a death cult wants us all to submit to their value system. But it's all about FREEDOM!!!! Exclusive: China not seriously considering U.S. Treasuries as trade war weapon

A nice clear picture of what Seth Klarman has only just realized in the last couple years. What we call, after the jubilee!

Keeping with the theme of tying things together; this thread - the last couple of pages specifically - is what I was referring to in the latest post made on the thread, A Different Perspective on the Deep State. The article below address some points from the "Deep State" post, and ties into this thread perfectly. You see, it's not some conspiracy that the British have been trying to bring the US back into the fold. The Fabian society and the institutions outlined in the articles I have been posting have been well documented and it's been no secret what they have been aiming to achieve. It just hasn't been discussed much, and put into perspective how they have bent, not broken, The American System! You see, something had to be done after the war, because it wasn't over, it just turned cold......... Continued below....

When has a military strategy been to build up other nations so that they are equal to you? Something had to be done after the forties because the war wasn't over, just turned cold. I know that we as humans can walk better with two legs. Why can't the world?? Don't fool yourself, or listen to the media that is always looking for the decline of America. It is possible that short term loss in jobs will lead to long term gain in prosperity for everyone. We are not talking about sections of the planet this is the whole world that is involved. These are current market events that tie this all in together!!! China says joint interests with U.S. greater than differences

Love it! Literally enough data a head of the curve around here that all that needs to be done is updateds! Are the missing points in this article: The Coming Crisis of China’s One-Party Regime I've said it before and it's starting to happen... let's all help the Chinese get their democracy.

From the start of this thread it was love not war makes more. Missing Putin's delusions, means I missed the regional war going global. Not understanding the IRRATIONAL, made me miss that we are going to have to go through this one more time before it's fully understood. China's liquidity trap only exists because of a wall of war, and that war is the only reason we aren't all talking about helping the Chinese get their democracy right now. The fact is though, love does make more than war. And by LOVE, I mean free enterprise. Where we are all free to take part in the process that will lift the meek out of poverty, and then we shall inherit this world. Ironically, I now understand that it's the necessity of the 99% factor while made it so this program took so long to debug. Nothing like a picture to finish of the thousand words. Love not war makes more. Thanks JC.

And let's not forget anymore, this is the whole world that is involved in this mess. Wrong. It emerged from the wisest ruler.

I could file this one under the death of socialism, however, the end of the article sums up what's next and ties into the previous post on this thread nicely. Thanks JC.

Aman, re your Austrian economics reference: If Big Business is believed to be bad, why is not Big Government, with its far greater power over the citizenry, considered worse? Last I heard, it is government who makes war in places like Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan . I have yet to see the standing armies of Exxon Mobil and Goldman Sachs . that is because they use the US military to fight their wars.
this is actually well understood to students of history. if you want just one slice of it, try looking up the sordid history of United Fruit Company.
the combination of standing armies and the influence of major corporations is a recipe for disaster, which is why Jefferson hated both of these ideas to the point of protest.

On the other hand, corporations are responsible for lifting more out of poverty - a lot of it caused by wars - than anything else in human history. So, while no all good, not all bad. Now, crony capitalism is another thing all together, especially highly subsidized "green" tech that is far from clean. The governments are no longer afraid of the ppl. Smaller government, means a more level playing field in the business world. Viva la Revolucion!
