I'll reply to #300....no one enters a relationship expecting their mate to cheat...so why would you be on guard watching for signs of infidelity? That's why so many are blindsided by it....it never entered their mind to cheat and they never expected it from their mate. It has nothing to do with poor choices.

Maybe Deb is cheating and looking for the common pitfalls of how people get caught. She is trying to outsmart her mate.

Maybe Deb is cheating and looking for the common pitfalls of how people get caught. She is trying to outsmart her mate. Around here, people who suspect their partner of cheating just turn to a local TV show called Cheaters. Joey Greko hosts - funny stuff (except for the catching your mate boffing someone else part). It's not quite Jerry Springer and just like a car wreck - you just can't not watch it.

I saw the signs before we got married but you always think you will be different. J is just lucky she didn't saddle him with divorce and those costs plus children and those costs. I got saddled with both. It CAN blindside some people, I grant you that, but down deep, did you really have ZERO doubts? I look back now and see what was so clear even then but I CHOSE to ignore my guts. NEVER again. Those guts that I now listen to have saved me so many times since. DF is wonderful and he will never cheat. I won't bore you with the reasons why but my gut is right, at last. My girlfriends who have stayed married to loving, good, and faithful men have picked exactly the kind of man I have finally picked.

"DF is wonderful and he will never cheat"
I hope he doesn't, and that he's a good guy. But, be careful what you say. I'm 99.99% sure DH doesn't and wouldnt' cheat, but the minute I say he would never is the minute he taps someone else. I can't control anyone else's actions and won't say they would or wouldn't do something.

I am not blaming either person...in the 'cheating relationship'.
With so much of it going on
I thought there must be clues.
PLAIN and SIMPLE.

Didn't the host of Cheaters get stabbed by one of the guys he caught a few years ago?

I am not blaming either person...in the 'cheating relationship'. With so much of it going on I thought there must be clues. PLAIN and SIMPLE. Do you actually go out and socialize with living human beings from time to time? Ever talk to someone who has been cheated on? Know someone who has been cheating. Sometimes the clues just ARENT THERE! For example: DH calls me and says he's going to the store after work to price some supplies for a home improvement project. He comes home and hour and a half later. He could have been screwing his girlfriend, or he could have been at the store. I choose to believe he's at the store. I'm going out with my friends tomorrow. I could be going out with my boyfriend. He chooses to believe me. That behavior COULD be a clue, or we could be where we say we're going.

date "hot" guys and marry "nerds" Good idea, but how do you marry a nerd without dating him first? Or since he's a nerd, he'll just accept your marriage proposal without dating first?

Get the "bad boy" thing out of your system and then start dating the nerd and then marry him. Nerds make excellent husbands and fathers and they are always grateful that you married them!!! That's what my successful GF's say and trust me, I saw what they dated and what they married. TOTAL opposites. SMART women.

Oh come on we all know nerds are just grateful to get the time of day from a woman, so they will be falling over you to get married and be loyal to you forever! If I am that paranoid about cheating that I limit myself to a certain social subgroup, I got problems and probably should stay single. ALL people have it in them to cheat, it is just certain people choose to act on the impulse. You can't decide who is going to cheat on you based on the social labels they had in HS (sorry but I haven't used the terms hot guy, nerd, jock etc since I left the locker room). I'd hope I have more qualifications for the guy I am marrying than "He is a nerd and he will be so grateful that I looked his way he will never cheat on me!". Sad reason to marry someone, IMHO.

Aargh!!! Well, then ladies, maybe we should start a new thread. How do you find a guy that won't ever cheat on you? What should you look for?

Yeah, I'd be happy to hear that my spouse considers me a charity fuckAh crap, I just remembered that DH was popular and I was the nerd in HS. Does that make me his charity fuck? I don't know that DH will never cheat on me. However I choose not to live my life in constant paranoia and suspicion. I TRUST my husband. It could come back to bite me in the ass someday.
