Here's my last update. I was going to empty my checking account into my savings and start over, but then I realized I have to pay tomorrow for DS17 to get his wisdom teeth out the dog needs an RX refill, and DD18 is moving next Friday and I know I'm going to spend a small fortune getting her set up in her new place. (Groceries, toiletries, etc) So, I'm very happy to be ending 2012 with more in my savings than I have had in the last few years. I'm off to the 2013 thread UPDATE P8nt 12/27/12 $4025.00 (3/3/12 $1.25 Goal $12,000) Fund | Goals | Starting | Current | Remaining | % of Goal | Emergency Fund | $2,000.00 | $1.25 | $2,000.00 | $0.00 | 100% | Vacation Fund | $2,000.00 | $0.00 | $2,000.00 | $0.00 | 100% | Student Teaching | $8,000.00 | $0.00 | $25.00 | $7,975.00 | 0% | TOTAL | $12,000.00 | $1.25 | $4,025.00 | $7,975.00 | 34% |

Update- Here's my last update of 2012. Fund | Goals | 1/1/2012 | Current | % Met | Addl Retirement -2012 | $9,000 | $0 | $2,250 | 25.00% | Rental savings | $14,186 | $180 | $2,585 | 18.22% | IRA - 2012 | $5,000 | $0 | $1,500 | 30.00% | Health Svgs -2012 | $3,100 | $0 | $0 | 0.00% | Emergency Fund | $29,400 | $498 | $26,000 | 88.44% | Vacation (Sept 2012) | $4,712 | $0 | $4,712 | 100.00% | IRA - 2011 | $5,000 | $0 | $5,000 | 100.00% | Health Savings -2011 | $3,050 | $0 | $3,050 | 100.00% | Holding account | | $0 | $0 | | Total | $73,448 | $678 | $45,097 | 61.40% | |
I must say I am disappointed because I only reached 61.4% of my goal for the year. Yes, I do know that I should be very happy about what I have done. Adding $44,419 to my savings this year is substantial. It's just that I really had expected to get closer to my goal. Not meeting a goal is always disappointing to me. Unfortunately I had several decent sized Murphy's get between me and my goals. Anyway, I'm going to transfer the unmet 2012 goals to my 2013 goals and add a few new goals. What's really exciting is that in about 2 weeks I should complete my fully funded emergency fund. FemaleSam 12/27/12 $45,097 (1/1/12 $678, Goal $73,448)

Final update of 2012 Teachermom 12/30/2012 $19858.78 (1/1/2012 $2529.41, Goal $58,020)I didn't come close to meeting all my goals but saved 34.02% which was amazing! I did have to withdraw just about everything I had save to pay off doctor bills but it was more advantageous for me to do that in this year than next as I know I met the 2% of gross limit. Needless to say, I will be starting at almost 0 for next year. Fund | Goals | Dec 2012

Back to ground zero.
So far I have $4,300 saved I'm going to stop at $5,000.
Then I will pay down my highest CC and work on the low on too.
If all goes well, I will have my sculpture paid off by Jan.
