The only shampoo DD will use is GF, I can be very brand loyal on some things. Olay is one of them. So any ideas for saving money on those products. I also really need to stock my cupboard, the one that has the shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, shower gel, soap, toothpaste etc. I see a costco trip in my future soon, does costco do coupons? I live in Jacksonville, FL. I am trusting that there isn't any stalkers or weirdos on this thread. Just those who like to save money. What is GF? I don't have a Costco but I think they do take coupons. I would not "stock up" on any of the items you listed there. All of them can be bought for free or pennies at the drug stores if you are patient. I will never have to pay for toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash, etc again. I have only been doing this 3 years. I could go years living off what I already have stockpiled, especially HBA items. But, if it's free or a money maker, I will not turn it down. I will find room to store it somewhere. Costco only takes Costco coupons, not manufacturer's coupons. They put out a booklet every month.

If you run out of a product and cannot substitute anything that is on sale at the time, then by all means pick up one more at Costco while you're learning the ropes here. Add the Costco price by oz. to your price book so you'll know when you find the product cheaper on the outside. Since the Costco products are supersized, the chances are great that you'll find a better deal than the Costco price before you run out again. But don't be complacent because you now have a great big bottle. Start looking NOW so that you'll already have the product available the next time you need it. Oh, and just so ya know, all of us here are as "normal" as a bunch of couponers can be. ;D

So I just got back from CVS. I bought four Head & Shoulders Ocean Lift shampoos but only got EB's back for three of the bottles. No big deal, it was still a moneymaker with the last $1 off 2 coupon I had. Just wanted to share in case anyone else was planning on buying some. Maybe its something to do with this variety or maybe it varies by store how many EB's you get back.

I'm not critical of what you all do, and it's great that you can save money by stockpiling free stuff, but for me personally, I'm just here on the lookout for deals on things that I actually want. I have an 80oz thing of hand soap that I've been working through for a few years... I just don't use that much of this kind of stuff to see the value in getting cheap shampoo and then using it as hand soap because I don't want it as shampoo. And I'm in a small condo, so I don't have the space to stockpile things the way you all do. quotequeeen: Are you aware of any bloggers from your area/region that post the deals for the stores specific to where you live? That actually might be a better use of your time. Then if you see something on the blog and have questions or need help, you could always come here. You are more than welcome to look for deals from what we post, but I'm not sure that it would be the most time efficient way for you to save money.

Wow, I thought someone here had bought (4) at a time and received the $8 EB. I bought them two at a time so I had no problems and got the best use of the H&S coupons.

Thanks leanna and Fugal Suz! I just got back from Shoprite and bought a can of mousse and already did the rebate form and have it all set to be mailed tomorrow. I have done a few these past few months and have gotten all of them back pretty quick and easy. I have been cautious because up till now I have only done Staples Easy Rebates and Ace Hardware rebates. Those are almost beyond easy and quick. About the only thing I can honestly say I always get for free in the past few years has been copy paper from Staples because of their easy rebates. I did do pretty good at Shoprite today though IMHO. I got 2 coupons for Organic Carotts and Organic apples. I got $1.40 off the carotts and $3.72 off the apples making them both only $0.99 cents a LB. For my area that is about the lowest price I could get for reg carrots and apples let alone organic ones. ;D Naggie please try and do this but very slowly! If you are almost out of something like razors, for ex, then just get one pack from costco. These sales/deals come up all the time. If you are out of something then buy a pack. BUT don't try and stock up now! You need to give yourself time to SLOWLY start using coupons and sales and deals to build up a stockpile of things you can use for super cheap. I am afraid that if you try and do a Costco run you will become discouraged and stop. I swear when I started out doing this seriously a year ago I maybe got a few cents cheaper on things. Now I am regularly getting some things for pennies on the dollar. But I have been doing it a few products at a time. Don't try and be like the crazy people on TV and get 200 of anything. In this Slow And Steady really does win the race which in this case is a marathon not a sprint.

Eventually you'll get to know what the posts for the stores you shop at look like and scroll through most of everything else.

One thing that I do when sending away for rebates is keep the rebate item unused until the money comes in (unless I had to take the UPC off for the rebate, then its fair game). That way, if the rebate is rejected for whatever reason, you can always return the item. ;D Most rebate companies are very good, and I've only ever had to return things a handful of times.

I don't know why it worked for me and not you. Sometimes these deals seem to vary buy store it seems. DH will only use H&S shampoo. It is about the only thing that we are brand exclusive about. The best price I have ever gotten on it was $2 a bottle after MC's and ECB's. So this being a MM was crazy good for me.

If you read the coupon legalistically, it states: "$2.15 off any one Finish Quantum 25 ct or higher (then the all important comma with no size limits listed thereafter), Powerball or Gelpacs" So, I think most people are hoping that the coupon will apply to the powerball or gelpacs at any quantity.

That Finish coupon also has the typical barcode on it, so it shouldn't beep like those crazy new barcode coupons....

My target now has Christmas clearance at 70% off, my husband went at lunch and they had just switched everything over, so he bought the 9 ft pre-lit tree I have had my eye on for $128, with regular price at $400 . I am going back this evening to see if the extra large ornaments and sheet sets are still available and at 70% too....

Constanz - you were right about the Staples deal. They cancelled my order Oh well, no big deal. It would have been great if it worked out, but it was too good to be true. Hopefully I can find a good TP sale soon. I usually stock up on the 12-pk at CVS when they go on sale for $5, but I have not seen it at that price in awhile.

I think CVS is having a sale on Charmin 1/8, I think Centsableshoppin has something on her website about it. I think it's a gift card deal.

I called target and walmart this morning and both said they were still at 50%. I'm hoping they go lower tomorrow. I have to pick up an order at the mall, and they are all in the same general area, so will check.

Folks are reporting that you can buy the variable Visa Vanilla cards at Rite Aid towards the Resolution Rewards promo. These are the ones where you can load whatever amount you want on the card, versus the ones where you'd buy one for $50 or $100. You'd buy one for $100, pay a $4.95 activation fee and get back a $20 UP. RA posted on Facebook that the promo is limit one per card. This sale starts Sunday for most of us, some California folks get the sales starting on Saturday.

I'm glad you posted this TwinMama. It seems we have a lot of new people joining in recently, and the P&G one in particular can come in handy on cleaning products. Good job for sharing! Karma going out your way momentarily.

Haven't been here awhile as I stopped doing WAGS for a bit. But I had some surprise good deals at Shop Rite today so I just wanted to share. I cruise the meat department for markdowns and got a 12 oz. package of chicken apple Chardonnay sausage for $1.35 (70% off) and I got to use my Cento olive oil coupon and got 17 oz of Extra Virgin olive oil for $1.84($3.84 sale price - $2 coupon). ;D 97, where did you get the coupons for organic produce? ETA: Oops, Sorry 97!

Opt4L, that was me that shopped at shoprite. The coupons for the organic produce are in the Shoprite circular ad. The back page has all the produce and it is just one page back on page 7 on the page with all the natural and organic stuff on sale. Good to see you here!

Wags doesn't look that exciting to me the week of 1/1. But, for those who are Herbal Essence fans, it will be $1 after mq and RR.
