For those looking for a mattress set - I know we all have preferences - but in case this helps anyone: The W Store has the W mattress set - this is the exact set used in the W Hotels (a Starwood property). They always have a sale - and the current code: WSTAR35 (working - just checked) will take 35% off the price. There is usually free delivery and no sales tax outside NY. This is the bed that we have and *love*. The 35% off takes a King Size plush top set down to under 1200. The web site is: www.whotelsthestore.com/When we went mattress shopping we had a horrible experience and decided to go this route because we had *tried* the bed at a W Hotel. We love it. A friend did the same deal and loves his as well. And we all paid a lot less than anything we saw in the store. We had ours w/in a week - but we live in DC. The delivery/takeaway was a breeze. Like I said - just an extra option to consider for those looking for a new bed. Thanks for the info! I checked out the website and googled some reviews. Looks like most people are happy with them. I'm just not sure I could buy something that expensive without even trying it out! Heck, I don't even have good luck with mattresses when I DO try them out!

Also, someone just posted that it counts toward the spend $30 get a $10 gift card. I know you don't need to buy $30 all at once but does anyone know how long it keeps count for? A week? A month? Also, this price was limit 3 so if I bought 2 today do I only have one left that I can buy? And will these two I bought count toward a GC? (See my confusion???) The gift card deals are weekly deals, so, you would have to spend $30 that sales week. It does track on your receipt. Even though it may say there is a limit of 3 in the ad, it is usually us to the cashier to impose the limit. Usually they will still ring at the sales price, no matter how many you buy. If you want to fly under the radar, buy 3 at one store and go buy more at another, or go back later or another day to the same store. Done! Thank you! I have two stores right across the street from each other so it should be no problem.

quotequeeen: Are you aware of any bloggers from your area/region that post the deals for the stores specific to where you live? That actually might be a better use of your time. Then if you see something on the blog and have questions or need help, you could always come here. You are more than welcome to look for deals from what we post, but I'm not sure that it would be the most time efficient way for you to save money. Reading this board has never been about efficiency. I've been checking chitowncheapskate, but it seems like half the posts are about video rentals or random children's toys or something. Hi. Have you tried Mashup Mom as a "local" blog? She covers most of the local grocery chains and drug stores. Jewel, Dominicks, Food 4 Less, Whole Foods, Aldi, Butera, Ulta... There is also Deranged me (I like her humor) Save more Share more and the shoppers apprentice for Meijer deals.

Leanna My low on tuna (chunk in water) is now 0.59 (Aldi everyday price here). Safeway has had it for 0.66 on J4U for several weeks. Also, my low on chicken leg quarters in the last 6 months was 0.49/lb IF you bought 10 lb but not seen that in months. CVS is going to have Bumble Bee chunk 1/1 for 0.59 – I’ll get several months worth & have about 2 months worth on hand already.
Quotequeen I am also from metro Chicago. In addition to the blog you mentions I also follow mashupmom and save more share more. They do tend to repeat each other, mostly, but each posts a few deals/day that the others do not. It appears that all 3 gals are from the western suburbas-Napervilleish from the stores they post. Since Black Friday they have been posting a LOT for gift giving but they will be back to more regular posts now.
I am north and hit several independent markets in my area regularly that have WAAAY better prices than the natl chains and are NOT covered in the blogs. I would be glad to meet up if you are north. PM if interested/able.

Ruby: My podunk Walmart finally had the Schick ST2 razors in AND allowed me overage!!! Yay! I used 5 of those coupons, so now I am going back tomorrow to capitalize on a $3/1 Woolite coupon and the $3/1 Downy Unstoppables coupons I have expiring tomorrow, b/c I really like these products, but hate to pay for them. Constanz: OMG, I received my UPs from RA today and they are so cool! I received 3 $3 UPs and 1 $1 UP and they don't expire until 3/3/12!!! YAY!!! Dancin: Thanks again for the Nestle Quik coupons, I bought some more free packets at a local grocery where I bought my NY's cabbage (already have the black-eyed peas in the freezer). CVS: I went back and bought more candy for our candy jars at work at the CVS with the 75% off, many of the bags were ringing up .87 each which is a steal for mixed hard candies, cadbury chocolate, york peppermint patties, milky way, etc RA: Bought an absolutely ginormous nutcracker (19.99 regular price) for $6, there was no price on the shelf, and when the checker rang it up and it was 9.99 and I wrinkled my nose, he offered to take $4 off, but then in the same transaction he refused my $3 coupon for the Axe (stupid new barcode) b/c it was a "clearance item" and he wouldn't change his mind, so he got me there, b/c I really wanted the gift set. I also bought the Honey Bunches of Oats BOGO 4.99 and used 2 $1/1 IPs from coupons.com. I love this cereal, so I was happy to get it for $1.50 each. Misspt: Way to go! Our Walmart is erratic on when they stock their shelves so it's usually a crapshot whether or not I get any. I have a Walmart list of items with prices in my coupon sleeve for items that I could get with overage. I like buying things like butter for the freezer or things I don't have coupons for. LOCC: No Nivea coupons in our paper today but I'm not surprised.

Hey Ladies, check your emails or CVS accounts. I've gotten emails for $5/$25 for both cards, but I think they expire on Monday or Tuesday. This will help w/the gift card promo!! ;D
Also, southernsavers had a link to riteaid for $1 off of naturemade vitamins (it's back to $1 now), well when I went the other day to print it was $2 off ANY naturemade and a PDF file and the expr. date isn't until 12/31/2012 this will come in handy w/those B1G1 and CVS Crt's for $$ off. So if any one would like it I can msg/email it to you.

misspt, That IS an interesting debate on thecoupongoddess. What would you have done? Would you have said something to the cashier or the manager or just let it go? There are comments posted that she didn't do the right thing, that she should have just let it go. I accidentally used an expired coupon at Walmart. I tried to use 3 of them, not realizing they had expired. The cashier took the first one, then caught it on the other 2. No biggie! oops on me for not checking the date. (Missed it by a day of two, not by a year or more!) I "picked ujp" my mother-n-law's inserts yesterday...haven't had a chance to look at them yet to see what it is n there, but I DID see the Finish coupon right on the front. We have a wedding to attend tonight, and I have to go get a gift yet, so I may see if the early edition Sunday papers are out and if so, pick up a few, since I don't know when we'll be home tomorrow and if anything will even be open...

I just read that this morning! My mom and dad have always said opinions are like __________ (fill in the blank, but they always said a**holes) everyone has one..... I agree--everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but don't bash someone if the actions they chose to take don't line up with yours! Ok. I'm over it now...

Happy new year to everyone. I just finished working on my MQ savings for the year and i came in with $3200. I started the year well, and then took a few breaks as i got on with life and stuff. I am happy to finish with $3200, 4 years ago it was close to zero. That's is a big difference for me. My cupboards a pretty well stocked as i go into the new year. I managed to replace some of my stockpile that i was living on while taking a break. It was easier than i thought it would be. The price increases have been noticeable this year. But PA is way cheaper than Las Vegas for grocery shopping. I recently found a Giant store that double's a .75 to $1.50 right near my job, so i will have to start shopping there and the great thing is i drive right past it everyday. Food is the thing i am trying to get ahead on so i haven't done much in the drugstores. I did notice that they started giving free things that i had no use for and as gas is still high i sat out many deals like some of you on here. Here's hoping for a great 2012 coupon wise and health wise. ;D
