I just got back from shopping. I am exhausted. The mall was still packed. Most of the stores racks were bare and nothing worth standing in line for.

I did get some new underroos at Aerie and some makeup at Bare Minerals. Oh and I ate my weight at Olive Garden.

I started a thread that's as close as I can get to being downright ugly and hateful. Now I suppose that I'll be a pariah but ya know? Sometimes I feel like our virtual life here is like the court in the Emperor's New Clothes.

I am waiting for the Dentist office to return my call. I have a tooth that is starting to give me some issues. The question becomes do I try and get it fixed this week while I am off work or wait until next week so whatever I have to pay out of pocket goes towards next years deductible. BTW I have not met my deductible for this year.

I lost a filling back in September, but need way too much $$ to go to the dentist. Don't know what to do because it's the tooth next to my front tooth If I wait too long, it will be too far gone to be saved.

Sigh. It sux to get old.

The dentist will probably make the decision for me. If they don't have any more appointments this year then it will have to be next year.

Miss R. have you looked into going to a local dental school. It gives the students some practice and costs less. My dentist actually spends some of his time supervising the students doing their practical work at the dental school.

I took my last vacation day today & hit the after Christmas sales with my friend.

Ann Taylor Loft: a pair of dress pants and a blazer.
TJ Maxx: a beautiful Hilary Radley coat, 3 workout t-shirts, 2 dressy sweaters, and a pair of Madden Girl heels
Stein Mart: a pair of Impo heels and an umbrella (that's for mom)

total spent: less than $250

Well, I finally made it here to the EM Coffee Shop. CUTE coat, Peachy. I'm going to need something a lot warmer than that for the next 3 days. Temps dropping & it's starting to snow after most of it had just about disappeared. Cold for next couple days, but then warm just in time for New Years Day when I have to drive to a dinner.

Lassie glad you dropped by. We are supposed to get cold also- as in lows of 24, which is cold for us. We have had monsoon rain today. DD and I went to the fabric store and there was a lot of flooded streets, yards, and culverts. I hate to see what it will look like tomorrow morning since it is supposed to freeze tonight. Thank goodness I do not have to go to work tomorrow.

Thanks, RJ & Sharon ....The problem we have with freezing rain & snow is getting the residential streets cleared or graveled regularly. They're usually good at keeping the main roads looked after, but this year the neighborhood streets hardly got done much at all. We usually get the worst of the snowfall in Jan & Feb, so I hope they have enough in the City budget to keep the crews on top of things when that happens.
