Good Morning Ladies and TD (and any other males that I missed).

I think I will take my Christmas decorations down today. Of course I just might run away. I cleaned and did dishes before going to bed last night and I woke up this morning with legos all over my living room and a sink full of dishes again. I know some kids who are going to cry when I go wake them up to clean up their mess!

Sun's out today, but I'm stuck indoors until it goes down again - stupid work. I'll probably have my decorations down before the end of the weekend, no chance before then.

I can't wait for Friday - short week for me - YEAH!!

Well, I finally did it. I told off the hag. She showed up after a sick day out, still coughing and hacking. I told her that she was not welcome and it was either she go home or I go home and work from home. I was NOT spending my New Year's sick.

She felt she was too important not to come to work. I told her she was not. When the boss arrived, she informed him that I had "voted her out of the office." Um, why, yes, that is exactly what I did. And she left, tail between her ripped-jean-clad legs, too.

What is it about some sorry people that they are so freakin' self-centered that their presence is so vital that no one else's health or well-being matters?

I used to hate getting up in the morning and stepping on Legos in my bare feet. Now the only thing I'm likely to step on in my bare feet is Tucker the Perfectly Good Cat.

The clock is ticking. Pretty soon I have to go out and wage war against dirt and dog hair. Sigh.

Yeah, I borrowed those crankypants (thanks, Angel!) and got at her. What a shrew she is; she tempered the whole thing by saying that her husband said she should not have come to work today. Oh, and that's supposed to make you feel virtuous about coming in and answering your email, now does it? You can do that from home!

Honestly, she came in wearing tattered jeans, her DH's old shirt, a shapeless trench coat and carrying a shopping bag. I could not tell if she came in to work or beg for change.

MissR I am going to get out of the house today and hope it makes me less cranky. It seriously takes a few days for me to recover from visiting my folks. Then yesterday I got 3 bill collector calls for my older brother. I haven't had the same last name as him in almost 14 years so how they tied me to him is beyond me.
So today I am taking my girls out to lunch and shopping. I will let DSD drive us around in her new to her car and we will just enjoy our day together.

Angel enjoy your girls day of shopping although you may want to take a flask if you are going to let a teenager be your driver. I am talking from experience. My now ex-BIL used to put my name down as a reference (without my permission) on credit applications. I ripped him a new one a couple of times and that stopped. Thank goodness he is now an ex-BIL.

Nancy way to go with the office hag. Maybe she will decide to seek employment elsewhere since you obviously don't appreciate her talents. << insert tongue sticking out emo >>

I am enjoying my vacation time. Today I will get a haircut and that is the most major thing on my agenda at the moment.

Sharon, I actually let DSD drive a lot. She is a good driver and I only grab the "oh sh!t" bar every once in awhile.

I think my brother put me down as a reference too and that is how they got my number. My mom says she doesn't think he would do that. BULL! He is about to file for bankruptcy for the 2nd time and she doesn't think he would put me down as a credit reference?
Ugh. I wish you could pick your family....

Oh, the hag won't leave. She thinks the boss cannot function without her. It will be me out the door first, which is fine. My goal for 2011 is to lash her to the desk and write "I KWIT" on HER butt.
Then leave and have the boss find her in that position.

Or, you could always say when a collector calls looking for someone - "If they put me down as a reference to begin with, why didn't you call me in the first place? I could have saved you the trouble and told you they were deadbeats."

I've said this to collectors on both my ex and my DH's ex - the collectors are usually speachless.
