Good Afternoon Kids! We got a bit more snow overnight, but still not enough to completely cover the grass. There is more coming, 2 times tomorrow, morning & evening, and a longer snowstorm on Tuesday. Not sure how much we might get by the time it's all done. Oh well. It IS January. Thanks for serving up such a nice brunch NancysSummerSip. I've got several projects staring at me, and am not sure which one I'll tackle first.

toomuchreality 11:45 pm is too late to be knocking on the doors of neighbors unless it's an emergency. You are probably right about wipes. You do not have to supply them with a plunger. They don't cost that much and that thought should have occurred to them with all of their clogged toilets. I agree and I have mentioned this to them, several times. Last night he asked if he could return my plunger today, rather than last night. Of course, he didn't. So I text his wife, asking her to have him return it. I said they need to contact the office if they are having this many problems. And they need to buy a plunger! When he returned it, I told him the same thing. As well as telling him I will not answer the door next time, he comes to borrow it. This time, he admitted flushing a "bunch of things" down the toilet. Last night he wouldn't admit doing anything, but flushing it, while empty/water only. They're nice people, but have pushed their limits in this regard. I have now stated clearly, my boundries and I will stick to them. This is beyond ridiculous. And is only my problem, if I allow it to be. When he claimed he has put in a work order for their plumbing and they haven't responded, I said, Then you need to request another one. And you need to buy a plunger. I took my plunger from him, thanked him and closed my door. There is no doubt now, that I am not pleased with them, or the situations they continually put me in. Thanks for your reply. Tell him things that are not number one or number two should go in the garbage. That's how its done. Do not answer your door to them again if you are going enable their bad behavior. I know its tough, but you need to say no and let them deal with the consequences of their actions. Personally I'd ask them if they were Trump or drug dealers. Whatever they think they are hiding, they probably aren't. You might want to point out that wastewater is monitored closer than it ever has been before since that's how Covid is being tracked now. And yes the landlord can find whatever they did in the pipes. The fact that they are relying on plungers means they are not using their brains much at all. Our main lines have needed fixing for over 5 years. When the plumber comes through wipes are mentioned, but I wonder if they are even current. Or the couple older than me might be using wipes and diapers irresponsibly as my downstairs' neighbors' kid has been past that stage for years.

It is January. I think I am going to do a quick shovel of a piece of sidewalk they rarely do. Will keep me from walking in slush when I do work laundry. And it will keep the melting slush from adding to our basement storage flooding issues.

And it will keep the melting slush from adding to our basement storage flooding issues. I wish you didn't have to. But it's a good idea! Agreed, but they never seem to link up the obvious. This time of year, it gets the least sun of all the sidewalks here and maybe isn't used enough? But since it retains rain and snow longer it also melts into the wall for the stairs and drips down the bricks holding up the railing. I think I might even make a video of the light they never fix either. To make it even more difficult, the light for shining onto the basement stairs is dim and full of bugs. You can't see crap after dark, and it is one of the more dangerous sets of stairs. On either side of me the light shines perfectly bright and the drain at the bottom of the stairs actually keeps that area dry. The only thing somewhat bad like it is the stairs to the laundry room I use. Always puddles or standing water because of its location and drainage. It does however have a better light although I still have to do the door code by touch or flashlight when its definitively night.

Got outside for about an hour and cleaned up the yard. Lawn looks good right now - no mowing needed. I prepped the chicken for the pan, and when it's done, I will use the same pan for the vegetable frittata. Still very overcast, though at least the drizzle stopped.

We have nice blue skies today and the temp is in the lower 40's. I went outside and raked leaves for a couple of hours. There is still a whole lot to do but the little bit of sunshine and fresh air was good for the soul. By the end of the week we are looking at highs of 20 degrees, which is actually better than what they forecast a few days ago when they were saying highs of 13. Either way that's too cold for me. ETA: Just checked the forecast again and now they are saying rainy and windy on Tuesday with wind gusts to 50mph.

Clouds all day.
Supposed to snow starting tomorrow afternoon. If we get as much as is being said now, I will not be happy.

We've been 28/19° today and supposed to be the same tomorrow. Cloudy, both days. They say 2° warmer on Tuesday, still overcast, but snow every day for the rest of the week. Yuck! Doesn't sound good to me.

Both DDs are talking about making more moonshine. 😁 I told both, I will contribute $ to what they make, if I can have some. Both said yes! I will help make it too, if that works out to be helpful. I can see it being more helpful to DD2, than DD1, who doesn't have any children. I hope they make a flavor I like! I'm excited.

Bummer the gourmet grocery store location near my PCP has closed. Another location I've used is still open. I guess store and retail closures continue because of how the pandemic impacted them. Just read about TGIF's closing locations. The only one I sometimes go to remains open. 7 were closed in NJ.

Good Morning Kids! The forecast said a bit of snow, but it's coming down steadily like it means business. But then, how often are the weathernerds correct? It's ok, as I've got phone calls to make, and stuff I can work on at home. We've STILL got supply chain issues here, that began with Covid. I'm starting to wonder if it'll ever really get fixed, or if I'll continue to either stock up on specific items or do more shopping online. Both Target and another store I shop at frequently had empty spots in their regular grocery areas. These were NOT areas where you would find holiday merchandise. Weird.

It's supposed to between 8 and 15 inches of snow starting this evening through Tuesday. The bad part is the wind. By morning I won't be able to get out of my driveway because of it's usual drift.
I've told my snow guy that I have nowhere I have to be so I don't care if I am last.
The only other time he has had to plow the drive, he came about 10:30 PM.

Ouch TheOtherMe! I hope first that the weathernerds are wrong, and secondly that you've got plenty of groceries.

I am set with food and toilet paper as well as cat food. Those are the important things. They seem to be doubling down on the forecast today and are advising schools to close.
Many regular Tuesday sports match ups were moved to Monday and they are now being postponed.

It looks like we will be in for a wild ride over the next few days weather wise. I picked up another gallon of milk at the store this afternoon when I was out running some errands. I really have no need to go anywhere until next week.

Holy Moly! I had another heart attack when I woke up Monday morning! I'm currently in the hospital and scheduled for surgery tomorrow. Hopefully they can put more stents in, or re-open the stents that are already in, if they closed. It hasn't been my best day, but if they can fix the problems I've been having, with this, I will be happy!
Have a good day. I'll he talking to yo soon.

I woke up about 7 this morning and managed to fall back asleep until 11. So it's been a late start for me.
A few tankards of tea so far and another is needed soon.
Weather is windy, and dicey with hail and sleeting rain in-between sections of calm.

It has been a very blustery day with the winds expected to continue until about mid-day tomorrow. Then we will transition from a high wind warning to a winter storm warning for the weekend. My neighbor was out checking his chickens when I was out feeding the cows and he gave me a huge cabbage. I love cabbage. Tomorrow afternoon is supposed to be relatively calm weather wise so I may venture to the store for some half and half so I can make my favorite slaw dressing.
