Still have the application to do, but I did manage to start the process to exchange my boots for ones that will fit. Not quite in time for this first winter storm but I hope it does not stick yet.
Sorry about the privacy policy stuff I hope it works out soon for you TMR.

Sorry about the privacy policy stuff I hope it works out soon for you TMR. Thanks. I called the insurance back and they made a phone call to dr's office. Then assured me everything will be fine. I hope so. I hope you get the boots you need, soon. Stay warm!

Good Morning Kids! I'm taking both dogs in to get their nails trimmed today. This breed does NOT like getting their feet touched. Speedy often needs a muzzle so the woman doing his feet can do the job right. Lola, thankfully isn't as bad. But, occasionally she will start crying when someone is working on her feet. Most vocal type of dogs I've every owned. The amount of utterances they make could put Scooby Doo to shame.

I have two cats who start growling which I pick up the clippers. I haven't touch the nails and they are making noise that they don't want it done.

Good Afternoon Kids! Well, somehow both dogs survived getting their nails trimmed, but Speedy needed 2 people to control him, which of course ended up costing me more $$. It's a good thing he's cute. We've got snow heading our way, so I'm planning on projects I can work on indoors, like going through paperwork to begin the process of getting ready for tax time.

These two cats are totally docile at the vet's office. I have so far had it done when I had them at the vet for either an exam or illness. I'm thinking if I don't get Maddow's nails trimmed soon, I am going to have to make an appointment.
Sometimes they charge $8 with a regular appointment and sometimes they don't. I really don't want to pay for an office call to only get nails trimmed but I don't want him to be sick either.

Gracious good Friday to all the peeps! I have a race tomorrow, rare for me to do a Saturday race, but it is a trail race for a good cause. We do expect rain in the afternoon, so I plan to go right to Walmart afterwards for a few things. Will come home and make some chicken noodle matzoh ball soup (my purchases may include a rotisserie chicken; I am fine with dark meat in soup, but not otherwise, and it is faster). We expect a heavy amount of rain in the afternoon, so the soup will be a good thing.

Unfortunately, the vet costs more for a nail trim than the locally-owned groomers. Plus, I've seen the local shop in action, and they REALLY know how to handle fur babies that are totally stressed out.
I got through a bunch of paperwork this afternoon, but have plenty more to "play" with. Normal Winter weather is returning, so I'll be continuing to find projects to do indoors.

Moon Shadow does not like me to clip his nails, I usually only manage one or two at a time. However, he did chew some of them down, one until it bled in the last month. He might let me do more in the future, I hope. But I do not fight him unless it is very bad, and again at most one or two nails... and he has more than 10 altogether. I worry about the stress making him sick especially since its winter and this is a tough season on him being hairless and all.

Had my interview for the next rung up after being called into our break room to discuss an important miss. I hope it went well enough. I do know that they including my boss are nervous enough I really want to keep my doctor's appointment and finish the physical intake. I still owe him some tests, but I will be there the beginning of the week it at possible as it might be the difference from being promoted and making a bit more money or not. And I'd like them to stop being anxious even if I understand why they are. Some older longer time employees are having more health challenges this year so there is general anxiety over people's health and of course the resulting staffing challenges. I had my dental appointments after I saw my PCP so he might be less anxious about some initial tests if he knows I need a tooth extracted and there might be a small infection/issue there that will be resolved in the next month or two. Once that extraction is done, I think everything will be easier and my health will improve as well. Teeth issues tend to affect my chronic sinus issues in a negative way. P.S. Going to edit this soon, so please do not quote.

I'm so ready for the weekend but sometimes I'm just too nice. I was supposed to start being on call next Monday morning at 7am. The guy who is on call this week pinged me today and asked if I would take his Sunday. He has recently moved from the general area of our employment but needed to return for a doctors appt on Monday and wanted to do the driving on Sunday because of inclement weather. I, of course, told him sure no problem. That will mean 8 straight days of on call.

I used to be on call 7 days in a row, but it really depended on the job at the time how bad a day 8 might be. I was never in your coworker's position, so I only asked for a few hours at a time usually and returned the favor. Will coworker work 8 days in a row on your behalf in the future on call?

We are a team of 8 people that rotate one week at a time, from Monday at 7am to the following Monday at 7am. I'm generally on call every couple of months. The on call around Christmas time was to cover for a guy who left our team. Rather than disrupt the whole schedule the boss asked if anyone would cover, so another guy and I split that week up. Sometimes we trade when covering for someone else and sometimes we will just take a day outright.
How often we get called just depends. I've had weeks were I haven't had a call all week and other weeks were I've been called multiple times. I have to work Sunday morning anyway for about half an hour to do the quarterly zip code updates.

toomuchreality I agree with you 4:00 AM is not an appropriate time to be knocking on your door unless there is a fire and then words should be used in addition to knocking. Tonight, at 11:45pm,, I got another knock on my door. Of course it was the neighbor, wanting to use my plunger. I stood there looking at him in disbelief. Finally, I looked him square in the eye and asked him what they do over there, that requires a plunger, so often!? I asked if they flush wipes. He claimed no. I fold him that in the 20+ years I've lived here, I've never known anyone to have issues, like they do. I told him they need to go buy their own plunger, next time go shopping. This is getting really old. I told hi him could use it, as long as he is willing to bring the sodas up from my car tomorrow? Many times, throughour iur conversation, I meantionedthey need to buy their own.. Tomorrow, I will tee him mine is not longer on the borrowing list. I had to by my own. They can buy their own. And since he claims they have no idea what cases it, I will suggest they speak to mgmt about the problem with the plumbing. He admitted to waking me up at 4AM a few nights ago, to borrow it then too. 😡 I'get tired of the domestic violence that goes on over there.the door frames and dry wall, with holes. The cat they arent supposed to have and the smoking grill, in their living room. They kill a dead horse, Then cry cause it's deaad. I have asked them twice for help/favor. Both times they said they'd do it, but only once did the help me. My plunger better be returned, clean tomorrow, or I'm going to be SUPER pissed! And I better not have to ask for it, like last time. They can be decent people, but they can be major PIA. Borrow your own families plunger and food. I CAN'T SUPPORT THEM, PLUS ME! I Guess because I've been nice they think I have money. idk But I do know they used to make a slight effort, to do things nice for me, occasionally. Now, it's all just talk, on their part. No follow through. And I RARELY ask for anything, at all. I will mention it to the mgr, next week, when I sign my new lease, if I need to. I hope I don't get a worse tenant , after them. I'd rather move out, myself, if I could find a place. I don't care for many people these days.

Thanks for answering. Does your boss give you kudos and a better review for doing things like this? (I hope so.)

toomuchreality 11:45 pm is too late to be knocking on the doors of neighbors unless it's an emergency. You are probably right about wipes. You do not have to supply them with a plunger. They don't cost that much and that thought should have occurred to them with all of their clogged toilets.

I am back, peeps. Good race, gravel trail. No rain at that time, but it is here now. We do need some. I stopped at Walmart on the way home and did get the chicken, since it was fresh off the rotisserie. A very good idea. I used chicken stock, fresh corn, carrots, the chicken, noodles and matzoh balls. I had two bowls. Got leftovers for at least a few meals. Made a pot of green tea and enjoying that now. Just a load of laundry in the dryer at the moment.

Good Afternoon Kids! I literally hit the ground running this morning. I did my exercise time before I even had breakfast.
I had one pie crust left from Christmas, so I baked one more pumpkin pie, since I had all of the ingredients onhand. We got a dusting of snow overnight, but it wasn't quite enough to cover the grass. But it WAS enough to make the roads slick. So, I'll be sticking close to home, doing laundry & sorting through paperwork again.

Downloaded Turbo Tax. It was true that the Iowa State Tax Law changed and I owe no taxes to the state. I will take it as long as it lasts. I have a refund from the Feds, but I still need to work on that.

Today has been a somewhat lazy day. I slept in which is rare for me. Finally got going and did a grocery run as I also wanted to pick up a card for my sister, tomorrow is her birthday. Hey better late than never. I addressed the envelope in the car and dropped it off at the post office on my way home. DD and family came over late morning and DSIL hung the second drapery rod in the family room. This was for the patio door and we got those drapes hung. He did all the work my contribution was driving to town again and picking up pizza. Today was a fairly windy day because the mild temperature we've been having will be turning to very cold later this week. I felt like I was playing dodge ball driving into town the second time trying to dodge the tumbleweeds.
After the kids left I turned on the TV and fell asleep in my chair. Not a very productive day, but I just need the rest.

I took my plunger from him, thanked him and closed my door. There is no doubt now, that I am not pleased with them, or the situations they continually put me in. Thanks for your reply.

Officially my area only got about an inch of snow per whatever measuring system did so this morning. We did not get the 4 inches I expected, but we did have at least two to three inches on the ground at one time. But because of the rain and the temps, its an inch or less depending where you look on the complex property. They plowed repeatedly last night probably concerned things might ice up, but I think its been slush unless you were lout at an unlucky time.
Parts north of me got 4 to nine inches of snow and I think it might have been a rain event for the shore.
Cramming in some laundry now and hopefully a load later of work clothes. Wish I had those beautiful berries and asparagus here at home. Not sure what lunch will be, depends on my energy after folding laundry load #1.

Flushed a bunch of things down the toilet! The letters the city sends with our bill says nothing should be flushed that doesn't come out of your body. The problem is on them and not the complex. From the way you describe them, I would bet money they have never submitted a work order because they know what they have put down the toilet.

toomuchreality If I lived closer to you I would buy you a new plunger so your irritating neighbor could keep your old one.
