It was just awful Nancy. I was in the office when she got the call and she was almost instantly inconsolable. The entire family is very close. Boss came in today and we talked a little. The entire family is still upset (obviously), but apparently it was made worse by the grieving widow. I guess the BIL and her were planning on separating and divorcing, just didn't actually go through with it before the tragedy and she made a mockery of the deceased (according to boss). I'm surprised she came in today at all to be honest. The funeral was yesterday and many miles away - you could tell she was exhausted. She's not the best boss in the world, but I wouldn't have wished the last week on anyone. Some people have no class. It would have cost her nothing to take the high road.

Off to the dentist in a half hour or so, see what they say needs to happen with my tooth. Today we have had rain, snow, and blue skies with sunshine.

I'm back fat lip and all. The dentist was able to fix my tooth today. I just broke off a small piece. Now hopefully the numbness will wear off before dinner tonight. Mom is taking us out to Mexican with my nephew who is here on leave from the Air Force.

Hope the numbness wore off in time to enjoy your dinner, Sharon. My computer has been up and down like a yo yo ever since I got home and it's making me nuts. Every time I try to post, it goes all cattywampus. The thread that I started the other day about the trolls has done a perfect EE...it's all about something else now Not to worry, I'm not going anywhere any time soon unless I assume room temp and DD has me turned into a crispy critter. I'm just going to avoid posters who delight in being obscene or disgusting or mean or just plain stupid. And those with names that I recognize from the last go-round on MSN.

I'm up. Is it morning yet?
Gotta hurry. First client is at 7:30 this morning. Then off to SL's brother's palatial estate.
OMG. I'll be so glad when this week is done (around 4:30 this afternoon).
Y'all be good little boys and girls today.

I picked today's quote because closing time for the old place is right around the corner “Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.” (author unknown) I'm glad most have made it to this board, and (once again) THANK YOU MOONBEAM for all your hard work. I will miss Charter.

Charter isn't making the move over? It doesn't sound like it. This was part of her response when she read on the other board that we were asking about her over here: Moon did a nice thing for people, though, and it was sweet of you to post here. Not something I really have time or energy for now. I've enjoyed a number of posters thru out the years and the companionship at times, but everything ends sometime, whether we're ready for it to or not. Enjoy life and those in it while you have it. Take care.

Good morning everyone! Muggy with a high in the low 60's and winds out of the south.
My ex sent me a letter yesterday - supposedly his "last will and testament" - handwritten by him and he even went through the trouble to have it notorized. I laughed though most of it. He's a sociopath and he's trying to use the "will" to manipulate me (through our son) and his daughter from his first marriage. I'd be shocked if it actually was validated in probate court if/when he ever dies.

Just wishful thinking I'm afraid. He's been saying he's going to kick the bucket any day now since before we got divorced (13+ years ago). Ploy for sympathy on his part that never really worked on me. I remember when we were going through the divorce thinking - this would be so much easier if he would just die! Now that I'm going to hell for even admitting I was thinking that, might as well live it up! ;D

There were MANY times I sort of wished that too. Mostly so there would be an end to the psychological, and emotional abuse he was inflicting on the girls.

Good morning everyone. Today is payday Yea!!!!!! I will go into work and pick up my paycheck. Okay I know I am one of the weird ones who won't do direct deposit. DD is going to breakfast with my nephew then she has to go in and work at the school for a couple of hours.
Might take the tree down today then again it might wait until tomorrow. I have so needed this week to unwind.

Afternoon all...sorry for my extreme lateness. Had a doctor's appointment, then got a speeding ticket on the way in. My first ever. The cop was nice, and wrote it for the minimum, though. And yes, I really was speeding. I'm taking the school online, so I will have no points, and sending the payment tomorrow. Oh, well, at least I get to end the old year on an ugly note, rather than starting the new one that way. I see there is a lot of crazy stuff going on today in EE land.

EFCO, you know there are certain things ya don't ask a lady, like her age, weight and real hair color. ;D Let's put it this way....I got a ticket for 1-9 MPH over the limit, took the online school and passed (to keep the points off the license). I was going, shall we say, considerably faster. But I had all the proper paperwork, and I was extremely polite to the very large officer. No question he got me. He had the high-techie laser thing, and there was no one else around. To Sharon...been there, broke a few teeth in my time. I have two crowns, and I am glad to hear you are doing well. MissR...glad to know you will not leave us. It would never be the same without you. Sorry to hear Charter will not be in attendance. I did not always agree with what she posted, but I did enjoy reading.

Nancy sorry you got the ticket but glad that he wrote it for the minimum amount, hopefully that wasn't too much.
We took the tree down today. The tree is chopped up and in the yard debris can for tuesday pickup. The ornaments are back in the boxes. The lights from the tree still need to be put away and I need to vacuum. I got one of those ornament boxes today with all the little compartments. It seems to work fairly well. We bought so many ornaments when we were in Alaska. Specifically the day we visited North Pole Alaska and the Santa Claus House. This contains them pretty well and gets them out of all the various little boxes that they shipped them in.

It is crazy tonight. I think he just got a perma-ban. I just logged on for a couple minutes before going to bed, now I will probably have nightmares.

Skip the nightmares. I think the permaban is a good thing. Happy New Year's Eve.

Holy crap....maybe I am glad I only have about another week for frequent playing online until May. I don't understand the need for so much animosity on the boards. It makes it all not so fun to be here.

yeah, I'm with you Cheesy. There are very few threads I've ventured into here. Before I knew how crazy things were, I saw some of the garbage going on. That was enough to make me stick to the 'safe' threads. I'm sure that things will settle down. The new mods will get folks in line to the board's standards. The trouble makers will get tired of being ignored and move on. My list of posters not to read is getting some new names.
