Good morning Are we all in our places with bright shiny faces? I was so bushed when I got home yesterday that I just couldn't post. Read a little, gave it up when my eyes started crossing. Went to bed at 9...after a one-hour nap!...and got up about 6:30 this morning. I feel better. It's been two weeks from hell trying to accommodate everybody. I didn't mind doing it for my nice clients; I minded a lot for a few of them.

Who is "Sir Posts a Lot" and why did he get permabanned? From here? Or from MSN? If MSN, we're all going to be permabanned in a few days! There are a few on these new boards whose names just irritate the daylights out of me. And whom I will avoid like the plague.

I hope Omni finds us before the MSN boards are down for good. Does anybody keep in touch with him via FB who could let him know where we are?

I have a long list of posters I don't read either. Life is too short .

So I went out for my birthday last night...and ate waaaaaaaaaaaaayyy too much. I could barely move. Now today 2 of my friends want to take me out for a birthday lunch. I said yes, but man I hope the place serves some salads or something. I am already in my fat pants. I don't have any pants bigger than my fat pants!!!
I need to get back into working out. I have been eating way too much since DH deployed. I am like a roley poley fat little puppy!
Peach-will you be my online workout partner? Will you crack the whip and make me workout?

There's a crawler on GMA that says "Collision between Amtrak train and car kills two in Chicago" It sounds like the collision happened somewhere other than Chicago and just happened to kill two people there instead of where it actually occurred.

One assumes that there's an educated carbon-based unit of the human persuasion who proofs those crawlers before they pop up on our screens. Maybe not.

Gramma- NORMALLY I am a teeny tiny size 2 thing, but I eat when I am sad. I haven't lived with my DH since February so I have been eating a lot. I know I know...sad, pathetic...bad...get a grip. I am now about 15 pounds heavier...ugh.

I think Sir Posts a lot is EFCO. He is the only one I can think of that is constantly changing his nickname.

That's one of the names that I referred to in another post as bordering on the obscene. It's almost a perfect match to the persona of the poster but doesn't seem to go quite far enough to remove the "almost" part.

Wut wo! If you feel the need to stuff your face in the absence of your Main Man, stuff it with healthy stuff. Barring healthy stuff, munch on pretzels. Or try Werther's sugar free candy in whatever flavor suits. Drink a lot of water, and especially drink a glass of water before a meal.

Trust me, I'm a life member of The Formerly Fat Club. And I'm old and know stuff besides.

My problem is that I am a food uhm..."ho". I LOVE food. LOVE it! I love heavy cream sauces, I LOVE butter. Sigh...and now I have to drop 15 pounds. DH says the extra weight doesn't bother him. But it bothers me. My face is chubby in pictures now.

So...I need to STOP going to the fridge and eating pieces of butter (what? Doesn't everybody do this?). I need to get back to eating healthy and working out.

I will stock my fridge with healthy stuff...I will miss heavy cream though. It makes the best sauces.

Holy cow...its is afternoon, isn't it?

It's a little noisy here now, with my new ice cream machine going. We will have homemade ice cream and champagne to ring in the new year (after a nice dinner).

Doing some freelance stuff today, and had to end my association with one publication. Loved the work, but the editor and her style were not to my taste. Plus, it did not pay enough for all the hard work I was doing. Oh, well...on to something bigger and better.

I missed having coffee this morning, but I'm guessing that pot might still have some!

Lots of moaning and complaining from a few folks....I read the threads, and I am NOT going to bother even going there.

I'm just waiting for DD to get home from school. For this being Christmas break she sure has had to go up to the school alot.

The fridge has been cleaned out and we are going to start over with new stuff to eat. Tonight I am making beef stroganoff. The eggs are hardcooked for the salad I told my Mom I would make for tomorrow.

The dip is made for tonight although I am getting a headache so I am not sure how long I will stay up.

I'm back. Spent the best part of the day taking down TGH's little tree and putting things away for another year. And I dusted. And cleaned the bathroom. Did some laundry. Changed the bed linens. Now I feel virtuous

It was such a nice day that I turned off that blankety-blank heat that doesn't take a break when it reaches the temp on the thermostat. It doesn't continue to heat, just switches to fan to recirculate the air. Drives me right around the bend, but right now I'm still enjoying the silence.

My trip to B&N was disappointing because all the recipe books were out of stock, but I did order one, and it should be here by the end of the week. It'll be like getting another Christmas present This recipe book isn't the same thing as a cookbook; it's a book with blank pages for me to record my own recipes.

That reminds me, I keep meaning to check out the recipe threads...

I ran outside today after work. The weather was WONDERFUL for this time of year, but that was the toughest run I've done in a LONG time. Sometimes I just can't get in a rhythm. Tomorrow morning I'm meeting my running partner...but we are taking a Body Pump class
