BTW - I posted my pic in April and didn't tell anyone except my DH. A couple weeks ago I told a friend and her husband about it and they thought I was the BIGGEST dork. But considering they are both pretty overweight I wasn't bothered. I think it is great that we can post pics because I really love the advice/support I got, and it is always really helpful and motivating to me to read advice given to others. We are all on our path to be the best we can be and I love that there are places like here where we can get support/advice.

thaks H...have you figured out the running thing in the AM yet?

H- I currently work out 4 or 5 days a week about 60 minutes each session (30-40 minutes of weight, 20-30 minutes of treadmill running each time); in addition I take a 20 minute "core" class twice a week and once a week at home I do 20 minutes of abs trng. BUT I am thining of changing this up a bit, but for now I will stay with this for at least 2 more weeks and than see.
My goal was / is- ideal goal- to have a 6 pack for summer season......realistic goal- at least be comfortable enough without being embarrassed to take my shirt off at the pool / beach and stuff. So not quite my ideal goal, but close to my realistic goals (some days the mirror is still cruel to me). I ballonned up a bit last winter, glad I can get it back down somewhat.
If I can at least hold constant through summer I will be happy (hopefully I can improve some though)
For winter I will see, I may try for a bench press competition or something (goal of strength power / size)--I did one before in like 2005)
hopefuly that helped answer your q?
H, the important thing is to "just do it"--I knwo it sounds corny, but I adopted the Nike motto long ago and it has worked for me

I started rowing last week in addition to my normal cardio. I'm going to see if it makes any difference and I'm giving myself until the end of summer.

Rob - You look great! Congrats on all of your hard work and great results! Now... about that card game we've been talking about... Also, for being so brave in posting your picture (I do this for everybody!) ETA: Removed picture as it was too big when I copied it.

Skinnykids, your friends called you dorky because they are jealous. Thanks Fam. These friends are always studying me like I'm sickly and I just know they are telling everyone back home I'm too skinny and don't look good blah blah blah. Normally I can let it run off my back but after three days with them I started to wonder if they were right. Now they are gone (they live 5 hours away) and I'm back to working out and eating what works for ME. I'm really starting to love lifting weights and have all these goals now and I feel fabulous.

Skinnykids, you look healthy and fit. Working out makes you feel better. Please do not listen to those people! They are probably insecure about their own body images/health/eating habits and are just trying to make themselves feel better. Continue to do what you know is best for you and ignore the haters!

Honestly, my sweet tooth has slowly been fading away for some time now.. I don't even want anything sweet. It holds zero appeal for me. You know MM, if you could bottle that up and sell it you would be a bajillionaire.
