I did a search for a workout results thread and didn't find anything posted within the past 75 days, so I figured I'd start one.
I thought you could post your before/after photos if you care to share, or just describe your results.
Not to be vain, but I'll get the ball rolling. I don't have a before picture handy, but I've been going to the gym since 1998, and the attached photo shows my current physical condition. I work out 3-4 times a week, for about 1.5-2 hours per session, and my body fat is somewhere between 6-8%.

Keeping your body fat down is the biggest challenge for me. My photo's on the other thread. Do you do a lot of cardio? Hopefully my photo will look like yours in six months or so.

I do 30 minutes of cardio at 80%-90% of my max heart rate (I use a heart rate monitor) during each workout, so 3-4 times a week. I think the biggest factor for low body fat is diet. I don't eat meat except for fish, I avoid processed foods as much as possible, and I don't drink anything except water (and occasionally juice). I also don't do dairy in the form of milk or cheese, and I eat little to no fried foods. I like my diet and am able to sustain it, but I know it's not for many people.

insurancegal - Thank you. No, I've been lucky in that I've always been physically active and eaten a moderately healthy diet. My body fat was in the teens back then I believe.
By the way, I'm really hoping others will chime in and share their own workout results in this thread. Please don't leave me out hanging by myself. ;D

Hey I know I bet I just need a trainer to help me with my workouts. Maybe then I could breathe well enough for the hard cardio! ;D

Yeah that just about sums it up doesn't it POM? Well since we don't have the AC board anymore.

Although I agree that az is a fine male specimen, may I just ask the question if the "Healthy Living" board is just going to become another sex-centered, karma-discussing, but now with pictures, version of EE?
I thought we were going to talk about working out and nutrition and stuff. Isn't the entire EE board enough? Or is the whole community just going to be like this?
I know, I know, if I don't like it, I can leave. But, come on. Isn't there anywhere on this website that we can actually discuss something other than people getting their jollies?

Its one thread in a section. It takes a whole lot more energy to type up a post whining about it than it takes to move onto another thread.

Wvu!! I was wondering if whining has to be on this whole community or can people just keep it on a few threads. ;D

Yes, it is just one thread - but I suspect it will spread, if that is your intention. I know I have the reputation of being a whiner - and I have greatly reduced the time I spend on EE to get out of you guys hair. But, I enjoy the Healthy Living board and now I'm wondering if I need to avoid that also.
This is really inappropriate for the nature of the board up until this point. I am actually just wondering if your intent is to make this board "playful" also. If everyone agrees that this is the preferred direction of the board, I will bow out quietly. But, if I'm not alone that I would like to keep this board about topics that are more appropriate for the title, maybe a few of you could voice an opinion in a way that wouldn't be considered whining.
I promise, I will conform to the majority rule.

If I open a thread I don't like it I close it and move on. Doesn't mean I avoid the whole board. I see a whole lotta threads on this board pertaining to the topic and nothing related to getting jollies. If you enjoy the board, stay and look at threads that interest you. Obviously this one doesn't so close it and move on to the other health related ones.

AZ, I hope you know that we are just appreciating all of your hard work and are just doing it in a fun way. I hope you enjoy fun too, but if not, no offense to you at all and great job!! <<Prints and frames the picture for her home office>> ETA: I just read numerous threads over here and there is a lot of exalting and joking over here. Please remove corn cob from buttocks. TYIA.

AZ, seriously, great job in taking care of yourself. I try to work out at home but have little to no time between work, school, and pregnancy. And kudos for your diet - that would require an almost impossible discipline for me. Well, it's probably all worth it in the end.
That satisfies my on-topic contribution. Good night!

Maybe after some of us reach our fitness goals, more of us will be brave enough to post pics of our progress and keep this thread on topic. That won't be me though (posting pics).

I truly appreciate the compliments (and who wouldn't?). Y'all are too kind, really! (Even though I know most of you are just teasing. ) It's fine, but my intention for this thread really is for it to be a place where everyone can share their workout results, so that it may serve to teach and inspire others. I love talking about healthy living and fitness, as they're among my top passions in life. Being able to reach our max potential with what we have been given is one of the most satisfying things we can achieve in life, IMO. Thanks for all the feedback!

I've had a mod post my picture on EE and people were lovely to me. If I was in as good of shape as AZ (and had his discipline) I would do it!

Good for you Miss Margarita! My coworker loves yoga and spin classes, and he's way buff. If I ever get bored with my current routine I may give them a try.
