Nah. He is already toast. Not to sidetrack the thread, but anyone notice there are people lighting theirselves up in Tunisia and Egypt the last few days? Several funeral pyres with gasoline emersion to get it going really good and hot. Tunisia, they are already demonstrating against the new Government...... Buddist monks? I have to admit I have a lot more respect for these fools than the suicide bombers who have to take other people with them when they kill themselves.

(anyone know how to post a picture?) www.vietnampix.com/bilder/fire5e2.jpgYes, I am old enough to remember that happening over there. Funny, after the Communists over ran Saigon, we never heard of any Monks flaming out any longer.

Yes, I am old enough to remember that happening over there. Funny, after the Communists over ran Saigon, we never heard of any Monks flaming out any longer. They would have brought the gas. Seriously though all our friends , Egypt , Emerets, Saudis, Jordan, Kuwait...all with either royalty in charge[what ever you want to call it} or basiclly dictators..Maborak is 81 years old, supposedly his son being groomed , who takes over, fundamentalist? Democracy? Tunesia , who knows , teh PM in charge now, wasn't he part of the old regime..scary.

Our local news just covered the transfer of Gabby from the hospital, to DMAFB, and off she flew to Houston. Tucson is so attached to this story that even after the plane left the ground the cameras followed it until it was out of site. I hope we continue to get progress reports. Her publicity man flew with her, and said we will. The Houston medical center she went to is the best in the world. My step-father was an MD on staff at Hermann hospital, my Mom was an executive sec there. They have these tunnels underground that connect the different facilities, or at least they did when I was a kid. My brother and I grew up running around in those tunnels. It always scared us because we had to go near the morgue to get from my Dad's office to my Mom's office. LOL!!!!!! Any way-- she is in the best possible place. They called the Hermann hospital she is going to brain boot camp, and said it will be very intense. First she will go to the ICU, then off to the rehab. Yesterday they took her up on the roof of the hospital to get some sun, and, they said to take a look at our beautiful Catalina mountains before she left. Oh, man, this is all so horrible. Well-- Godspeed, Gabby. Even though I am a Jesse Kelly fan and did not vote for Gabby, I would be very happy to see her return to work some day soon.

I heard she is up and around fervently making marzipan for her family and the hospital staff. Anyone else heard about this?

Funny , my site said chicken soup, matzo balls..., latkes. mmmm Seriously, speedy recovery Mrs Congresswoman and back to full health as soon as possible, when she walks into Congress to take her seat, that will really be something to see.

That's good news, Krickitt. She's got a lot of work ahead of her and, probably, a long row to hoe; however, she certainly seems to have the courage to see it through. Best of luck to her!
