...yeah, another point! If someone else agrees with your poster further up the screen, you might just end up with 4 karmas, including mine.

Actually, in my re reading of the post I like it so much, going to repost it with a caveat..over all , there have been very few heads up, admonishments and definitly time outs since this zone was established when you compare what was on the know fading into the mist old site . There has been a lot of back and forth here between parties, as said in the soon to be reposted gem. The listening to and seeing some points made by the other side to a least understand where they are coming from and cutting of some slack..well that is a work in progress. I could say lets work on it but thats a personal thing and I do feel many aren't here for that. Why? Simple. It's more fun slamming the other guy like one is making points {surprise, one does not} I think some are willing to go that route, try it at least so that is a improvement.I'll do that, think I have in the past but will redouble the effort. For those who just want to slame, guess all I can say, slame away. As far as criticizing a moderator for their actions, all I can say, it's a dirty job, some one has to do it, with out your presence here ;D do I have to say more. .. Thanks for the service and when you chastize me, all I ask , please....be gentle --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- " -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually , and remember I am middle to the left so mosly unbiased, I see the board pretty split right now, naturally few on either side really listening to what the other side is saying and trying to understand their points of view, forget possible seeing that in some points they may have a point, while not actually agreeing with them/ I think for some however, not saying which side, the fact that there is two sides now and both are vociferouse in their thoughts and ideas, me thinks one side is uncomfortable with that happening, two sides being posted. Naturally being from the middle left I might , just might, have that wrong, but I don't think so.

...well, as I recall it was Stay Put who addressed "all you commie liberals" and told them to leave the USA or they'd get found and arrested and tried as criminal traitors and shot, etc. etc. ...and then got deleted because of the reference to getting shot... ill-timing, no doubt about it... but technically correct in that liberal communists would be found as treasonous for bringing the USA under communist "rule"... ...and I'll modify this post as soon as you say the word that you found it... ETA: hope that's okay...

Been there...you do know there are three other mods here besides myself. If they didn't delete other remarks or articles then must not have found anything wrong with the post or article either.

ETA: want me to modify #1133 yet?

The American people have a right to have a socialist society if they choose.

<<< The American people have a right to have a socialist society if they choose. >>>
...and the whole "republic" part of the US Constitution would disallow that, so it would take another American Revolution of sorts to "choose" communism... but discussing that prospect would be more thread drift, huh?

There is nothing inherent in "republic" that would prevent socialism but you are correct in that it would take this thread on yet another tangent.

Theoretically all it would take is a constitutional convention.
Just sayin'.

Socialism and communism are not the same thing. One is an economic concept, while the other is, primarily, a political concept.

One is an economic concept
Since the "economic concept" is fueled with other peoples money, I do consider them to be virtually the same thing.

I know my family , less the son in law..long time Jets fan..are feeling the same up there in snow land. That's what I dislike about football, one and out..I know it has to be, the nature of the game, but..for me ..Baseball. Go Marlins.

Well, since this is no longer a Gabby thread, let me say I am on page 277 of Atlas Shrugged, and finding much more meaning in it than the last time I read it when I was pretty young. I've been trying for a few years to read it again, but could not find enough uninterrupted time. I have lots of that now. Ayn Rand was a genius. It is incredible how that book fits our times, and it was written right before I was born. I hope everyone has read it. As for Gabby-- she smiled more than once and gave her husband a 10 minute neck rub. Pretty incredible. azstarnet.com/news/national/article_2fdf56ff-3530-57e0-b70e-eeeb633781b3.html

So-- horrors-- the Safeway videos show EVERYTHING chrystal clear, even the "anti-social personality" Loughner prepping for his kills. He can hang it up. Kudos to a hero we have not heard about until now. Judge Roll---- when Barber got shot the Judge jumped to help him and took the fatel bullet. So sad, and so heroic. Man.. this is still very real.
And now some asshole lawyer is saying Obama helped the defense by saying the Judge stopped by to see his friend, which they claim shows he was not acting in his position as Judge when he was killed, which kills the Fed case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Judge was informed of the meeting the day before the appearance of Team Gabby, and went to see her to talk about the overcrowding of the schedules in courts. That is ON RECORD from the start. SO-- I hope this pisses you people off as bad as it pisses me off. He was there as a JUDGE, and a friend, not mutually exclusive. Loughner needs to fry for this, and that defense lawyer of his is as crazy as he is if she thinks she can get him cleared of federal charges by this nasty little play!! EVEN IF SHE DOES-- it is a mass murder. I am assuming our state is competent enough to take over and fry him for this. It is all on VIDEO. No question about it. He planned it right down to the earplugs in his ears-- which is on video, also.
Sorry, this is MY city, and I want him to exit life for what he did to those people, so he can never do it again.

krickett your getting your self worked up again.
Not sure what his lawyer will or is doing but it's his job to do everything legal, explore all avenues to defend his client, get him the best deal he can.
We as a civilized country wouldn't want it any other way.
If you want to get up set, you should check out a recent Connecticut trial against a convicted murderer, escaped from prison with another, so horrible I won't get into it but to say, mother , two kids dead, husband beaten but escaped , home burnt down, as horrendouse a crime as you can think of He fot the death penalty. Connecicut is a very liberal State , they rarely sentence to death and if so , rarely carry out the sentence. The defense attorneys fought tooth and nail , even arguing cheaper for the State to not execute when you consider costs of appeals. They were doing their job. Just calm down, my suggestion , let the system play out.
