OMG!!!! 11 others shot, also! They are not saying if she is dead, but someone on the news just asked JD Hayworth about this, referring to her as someone he KNEW, not knows. OMG-- this is horrible. Yes, I am freaking out-- this is my state, and happened in my city!!

RIP, Gabby. I voted for Jesse Kelly, not Gabby. Even so, I am sorry she is dead. Very horrible. Murdering a Untied States Senator is no small thing. I hope they killed the suspect. No trial needed-- just shoot him.

Yes, she was shot. I've just heard the news that she died on a local NBC station...possibly two other people as well. Very sad for all of the families.

I figured out where it was. About 3 miles from my house. Weird thing-- a few weeks ago the swat team, bomb squad, whatever, was called out to the same exact corner for a suspicious package. The corner was closed for half of the day, more than half. It turned out to be nothing. Now-- I really have to wonder... some nutjob casing things out?? Who knows?

No one knows who is responsible for this yet. Dems here are furious with her for her turn to the right during the election. She HAD to do that to get re-elected. She had to. She is strong on border issues, at least NOW she is. No one knows who shot her and the others. Dear God, I do hope it was not some right wing nutjob. But, that does not matter. Someone shot and killed an US Senator right down the street from me. This is horrible. She was also pushing for lawmakers to take a huge paycut, as well as border issues. The nutjob could be anyone. I feel horrible. Can't believe this happened. I think of all the things I have posted about her when I was voting for Jesse..... but, I did not lie. Someone went insane. We do not know who.

This overthrow the goverment and hating all who are different is what is behind this. preach hate and you get hate. Amen to that....will shall overcome but this is as bad as something can be..for now there will be security of all representatives that will keep them from their daily contact with their people, will have to be..a seperation of, because there is really no way to stop someone who is so intent.. A horrible loss for the country. Not just the senator, beyond that..our system of open government. I do put some blame on those in power and the media who have put out that less dialogue and more verbal attacks is the norm and the accepted but I guarantee none of those will admit to having possible anything to do with influencing the mindset of the country. When they don't, if it wasn't playing into the kooks hands of violence against those they disagree with , a hard slap on the air would be appropriate, but then it would be the same type of reaction.. Possible some one in the control room just shutting the mike off for a minute, and continuing with that non violent reaction untill the one gets the message..tone it down, take some responsibility for..

dezil I so believe we can lay some of the blame on the media. But I listened to some during the election and the ugly was so overwhelming you could feel it. In the media and on these boards. I know I was shocked at how bad it got and sad that this is in my country. This country must stand up and say enough of this . We will not let the whack jobs win and we reuse to listen to the dirtypolitics. I say that should be a priority. That she was there talking about helping workers makes me doubly sad.
