Sometimes, we just need to learn how to play in the sandbox.

and definitely not suggest you move your arse over to EE to read the post as you would most likely use the opportunity to bring attention to your self and try to stir what ever you could over
Wrong. I would not even think of going over there and "stir" anything up. You are mistaken if you think I try to stir things up. My views are extreme right wing, no mistaking that. But I truly believe that in the end it is the only way to live. The alternative is the destruction of democracy or republic as has been demonstrated time and time again over the centuries and appears to be manifesting once more in some western countries, the US in particular. /Dalton

Hi folks, It's true, your old pal demi is back in the pack. I am here to play in the new sandbox, by the new rules, and for the new rules. I am the rookie on the block, and Tenn, Trae and Diver are doing a very good job, imo. I am here to assist them to ensure a vibrant and welcome environment for all. OK, my helmet is on. Go to town. I agree Trae is doing a very good job but not so sure about the other two...but I am probably biased in that regard or more objective than you are since you are now a Moderator again.....and really cannot say what you really think about Tenn or Diver

Sometimes, we just need to learn how to play in the sandbox. And a part of that is learning to avoid the little turds that some stray cat left.

Hey, what in Sam Hill is going on here? I see Deminmaine is a moderator? No vote? Who the hell is he? The rightful next one in line according to the official vote was my client Mr. fiscan. This is a complete joke and mockery of the board. I will be contemplating my next move. Dalton McGuinty Burns III Burns- the vote was for the initial need to get mods in place. as dezi pointed out, i am in no way obligated to go the 'next in line' if one should need to be replaced. Fiscan no longer exists anyway, as he/you could not settle on one identity so it's a moot point. as for your next move, it can be out the door for all i care. you like to stir the pot too much and i'm tired of it.

fiscan is not interested in being a moderator anyway. Entertainment is the name of the board game. If you can't see the manipulation dezilooooo is pulling off here then whatever. My views are not an attempt to stir anything but thought and possibly some action on the readers end. I was attacked first by that complete violation of board etiquette a few days ago by deziloooooo. I did not ask for any action. He would have been banned on MSN but he knows the limits here. It makes no difference to me. Cowards will lose. My character will not change. Proceed as you see fit.

Funny how I heard Tenn telling people to get back on topic many pages ago. The rules apply to... not tenn, I guess. Well-- I came to check in, now I am checking out. ANY chance in hell you guys will EVER elect a more conservative mod?? Maybe center right, like I am?? This is getting real old, real fast. I'm grateful to the few not far left that continue posting here. It must be a lark to them, which is why their Karmas keep going up and up and up. Fifty % of this country is moderate to far right. We are not represented here. Later. You guys have fun. OH, and about Gabby-- www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41104863/ns/health-womens_health/And from a liberal news source, so's you guys don't get tainted opening it. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Burns-- are you Fiscan?? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY good to see you!! I would think a one sided board would get really boring and disappear pretty quick, but-- if that is what the mods want, that is what they will get. Hey, burns, or anyone-- let me know what the next board will be, and don't send me to some partisan board. BORING. smiley face

Hi there dear Ms. krickitt, fiscan sends you warm wishes and says to tell you to stick around and keep up the good fight. It really isn't all that bad. You have a couple of fans in Ms. steff__t and Ms. mmhmm, they can't seem to resist getting on your case when your posts don't align with their holier than thou positions. It isn't very hard to neutralize their cries with good old cold hard facts.
Sincerely,
Dalton McGuinty Burns III

krickett, might i remind you that you HELPED take it off topic when you brought private communications here? don't blame tenn for everything.
if you don't want it one sided then bring some of your like minded friends over here to help you argue your case, such as it is.. i have no control over which way the board leans.

I really don't see the boards leaning any way in particular. There are fingertip voices speaking on boths sides of most issues. Seems to me the majority of posters are somewhere near the middle of the road. Those who are more extreme are the most likely to feel the boards are biased, but that's usually the way. Politics is not a subject that generates a lot of agreeable discussion.

Actually , and remember I am middle to the left so mosly unbiased, I see the board pretty split right now, naturally few on either side really listening to what the other side is saying and trying to understand their points of view, forget possible seeing that in some points they may have a point, while not actually agreeing with them/ I think for some however, not saying which side, the fact that there is two sides now and both are vociferouse in their thoughts and ideas, me thinks one side is uncomfortable with that happening, two sides being posted. Naturally being from the middle left I might , just might, have that wrong, but I don't think so.

...well, this right-wing-nut-job will weigh in on the "where are the righties?" question: ...when Tennesser the Mod posts early on that "we all have blood on our hands" and asks, "what is wrong with us?", a possible bias is quickly introduced based on a Mod's positional authority in the forum... ...later on, a conservative voice monologues about the drastic measures the US Constitution includes regarding punishments for treason, and is deleted... however blunt and ill-placed those words were, they were technically correct... and were not a direct personal attack against another poster in the thread... so to be deleted for being boorish, or even crass, while making a point is inconsistent with allowing others to be boorish or crass... hmm, the alleged bias appears to be not so alleged anymore... (and, imo, it was all the more curious to have left the "unacceptable content" visible in the warning post, which allows that objectionable content to continue to offend future readers... if it deserved to be stricken to protect the reader and the thread, then it should have been fully stricken, right?) ...later still, another voice can post an "open letter" article, "The blood is on your hands", by William Rivers Pitt, filled with words and accusations that would never fly by our CoC standards... but it can stay in the thread... it seems odd that we can post publications that don't follow our CoC, which applies to our dialogue... ...so, this particular right-wing-loon wonders, hmm, that's an inconsistent standard that I'm not feeling inclined to even attempt to figure out and follow... nor am I going to go find some Westboro Bapt. Church-like opeds to play tit-for-tat with the far-left opeds... ...and all the while, krickitt, our OP, has responded with varying degrees of eloquence, most likely a direct correlation to her stress levels in the face of living in the midst of the Tuscon tragedy... granted, her grief or frustration should not excuse her from CoC violations, I don't argue that... but she's been told to back off and not feel so involved, that "this is not about her"... despite the fact that threads are supposed to be considered as if we are addressing the OP in our conversation... which they started in the first place... ...well, this type of weighted interplay can get cumbersome... and, as one who would be claimed as "offensive" simply because I attempted to persuade you to consider a conservative view, I find it is often easier to just lurk... ...krickitt, I do hope you come back... I've enjoyed your stories over the years... ...mods, I do hope you all can survey the sandbox as objectively as possible... it is a thankless task, I'm sure, so thanks... and, fwiw, when you delete a post rather than modify it to leave it blank, it can't hold it's spot in the thread line up and the number sequence is disrupted, making every subsequent reference to "post # X" incorrect... ...and now, back to the show...

...when Tennesser the Mod posts early on that " we all have blood on our hands" and asks, "what is wrong with us?", a possible bias is quickly introduced based on a Mod's positional authority in the forum... I learned something new this evening. The words " we" and " us" are highly partisan. Thanks!
