Sealy - It's good news about the tax bill - hopefully you can get to $17k next month. Paying just over $250 should give you a nice round number to look forward to. Good luck on the CC plan! Ambellamy - You are really close to being at $110K - good work! Laramilk - You passed being over $275K in debt and are under that amount. Mega - I like that you are running the small 2nd race. You will hopefully have it done by summer. Nooccar - Did you realize that you are below $50k by over $1000? Shane - good luck with the job search! Smart - enjoy your vacation and welcome back! Rocky - Thanks for keeping on top of things and sharing your opinions.

Thanks Snap. I'm so excited to get closer to debt freedom. I've been on this train a longgggggg time. Thank y'all for your encouragement and support. FINALLYYYYYYY AFTER 4 years of payments. I've made my last tax payment for my 2010 taxes. I will NEVER cash out a retirement before I am retiring. It's not worth the fees, interests and penalties.

thanks! Glad to be back. Vacation was awesome and I enjoyed relaxing low-key in Cabo. And didn't add any debt since I paid for everything with cash By next month I should be able to add $500 or more a month to pay down my student loans. I'll also likely have my second car paid off by then (which I'm not racing). I'll likely do another race when I'm done with those 2 debts just to stay motivated.

Update - With Changes! So back in December we refinanced our home. We got a 15 year mortgage at 3.5%. We took out some cash to do some remodeling projects and also paid off our HELoC. I have mixed feelings about this. I like to pay cash for remodeling but we haven't been able to save any for this past year (worst year in my husbands commission based career EVER) and it was getting us down that we bought this fixer upper almost 14 years ago and hadn't completed work on it. Also, the terms of the new mortgage will knock a few years off of the mortgage and also save us thousands in interest. Anyway, when we did the refi, I redid my chart and added the mortgage in since the HELoC had been folded into it. But its really been bothering me. I've been on this board forever already and the thought of adding 15 years to my original race has me down. Plus it ruined the progress I was making in the $5000 - $25,000 "club" I was in. I feel like I need that win and then I can start on a second race with our mortgage. Soooo....I'm changing my chart again. It's kind of cheating because I'm counting the whole decrease in my mortgage each month to my HELoC which will "pay it down" faster then it would of if it was still separate. But, its kind of a mental thing I guess. Does this make sense to anyone? Name of Debt | Current Date | Current Debt $ | Starting Date | Starting Debt | Total Paid | % Paid off | HELoC | 2/8/2014 | $11,261.75 | 6/1/2007 | $36,163.66 | $24,901.91 | 68.86% | Rainier Pacific Visa | | $0.00 | | $9,038.05 | $9,038.05 | 100.00% | Disney Visa | | $0.00 | | $4,694.99 | $4,694.99 | 100.00% | Signature Visa | | $0.00 | | $4,097.77 | $4,097.77 | 100.00% | Nordstrom | | $0.00 | | $1,057.14 | $1,057.14 | 100.00% | Total | | $11,261.75 | | $55,051.61 | $43,789.86 | 79.54% | |

Made a student loan payment but it hasn't posted yet (gah!) and then my regular monthly payment should post by Friday. Vacation was awesome and I made more in sales while I was gone then I spent in Mexico so I consider that a win I'll update again this week when I find out how much of my payment has been applied to the loan. After these funds post I should be very close to paying off 1 of the 2 student loans! Update! It finally posted startsmart: 3/13/2014 $731.08 (3/19/2008 $14,157.31 W155,695)
I'm doing a few events this weekend and focusing on selling a few packages in my business. I only need 2 sales to get the income to pay off this loan in full this month and then I can focus on race #2 Fingers crossed I'll get the sales I need and more!

It would be nice if the IRS sent me another statement showing my zero balance. I haven't received anything as of yet.
I'm one car payment ahead and I will continue to keep it that way until it's paid off. I want to do my mortgage the same way. I forgot what method it is but it's a good one.
I'll update as soon as my balances have changed.

Sealy, I think you could try calling the Bureau of Fiscal Services at the IRS at 800-304-3107 to inquire about any remaining offset amounts (money they've been instructed to keep and send to any agency).

If you look at my chart you may think it's odd but I stopped calculating CC#1 because the balance kept increasing (due to me using the card. I finally went and shredded it). I'm waiting till the balance gets back down to the amount on my chart or lower before I add it to my chart. It just makes it easier for me.
Thanks Rocky I will definitely use that number.

Hi Everyone! I used to be cannot-wait but am now going by Gamyof2! I will post all my numbers by tomorrow, Sunday. I did so well on the old boards but am now needing accountability to get back into better financial shape! Looking forward to being a part of the Women in Red again!

I don't want to write this in the regular post because I don't want to hear a lot of negative comments. I would like some advice what would you do, not what I should've done.
Here's my issue. I received a letter from my mortgage company stating that they didn't charge me enough so now my mortgage was going to increase again. Even if I pay the shortage they still want to charge me an extra $5.13 per month. I just received an increase I don't want another one.
I only have $1200 in my savings and I'm trying to get it increased not decreased. I would deplete my entire savings in order to keep my mortgage at the same price; I'm guessing.
Do I keep my $1200 and let my mortgage increase? Do I pay the shortage plus extra so it'll stay the same?
I also have a $105 penalty that I haven't paid because I didn't register my alarm with my city and they just said they will send it to collections. So I am going to need to pay that too. I didn't think I should've been charged this penalty but taking responsibilty I should've paid the $30 to begin with.
Sorry this is sooo long. Thanks for listening.
