ahh you beat me to it slow but sure. I was going to try the same thing I think we can still have smiley threads we will just need a new denomination amounts I vote that every 5k up to 30k have a different one (rather than 20k equaling 2 of 10k) Then 40k, 50k, 100k, 200k

dvm - You are chomping on the bit as much as I am to help things go smoothly. Smiley threads are a pain in the behind as we cannot copy them, but would have to reinsert them each time. I've already sent CG an e-mail and I know she's working fast and furious on this and other things.

An amazing update thanks to the support of you all and my sister. Is it possible to be sooooo excited and heartbroken at the same time. I'm heartbroken cuz I'm gonna miss y'all and my savings has taken a big hit. At the same time I'm happy cuz I am totally CC debt free!! I'll still be here but I plan to start with the savers section now. I have a lot of ground to make up. I'm posting race number one first then number 2. I'm waiting for all these totals to hit my bank account hopefully by Friday Monday at the latest. I am sooo thankful to you all for your continued support and encouragement. I was scared to pay these off but now am sooo happy I did. I only have my car payment left and regular bills. I think I will race the car payment next. That way I can still be with you all. Thanks again Sealy.
RACE #1 8/5/08 12/21/10 Total paid off Car loan $39,065.75 $0,000.00 $39,065.75 CC#2 $7,122.24 $0,000.00 $7,122.24 Tuition $7,210.00 $0,000.00 $7,210.00
sealy: 12/21/10 $0,000.00 (8/5/08 $53,397.99 W345) difference $53,397.99
RACE #2 12/21/10 12/21/10 Total paid off CC #3 $2,854.61 $0,000.00 $2854.61 CC#4 $573.34 $0,000.00 $573.34 CC#5 $860.00 $0,000.00 $860.00
sealy: 12/21/10 $0,000.00 (12/21/10 $4,287.95 W215) difference $4,287.95
this post looks messy but I'm not sure how to fix it. I tried several times.

I was previously part of the south region (Oklahoma), but moved to Arizona this October, so with the WIRR move, I think it's a good time to move regions as well!

Hey all! I think it is fantastic that you are posting, but until we can get the permanent WIRR threads up and running here, could you please post on the old MSN thread? It would make it much easier on me when I do the updates. Don't worry, you won't get lost as I'll be checking these every day until the "permanent" threads are up and running. THANK YOU! N.B. If you have already posted, I'll make a note so you don't have to repost. This is for the upcoming posters.

I'm thinking maybe we would group people together... For example, Posters who have paid off $100 A B C Posters who have paid off $500 ... WE would also have to do the coding for the smileys too, since it is just too easy for the moderators to change them. More testing... Creditor | 12/30/2009 | % Paid | Original | SL#1 | $17,560.00 | 20% | $22,000.00 | Car Loan | $24,130.00 | 10% | $26,875.00 | Macys | $- | 100% | $981.00 | SL#2 | $57,464.00 | 3% | $59,257.00 | Total | $99,945.00 | 8% | $109,113.00

looks good. did you just click the insert table box? obviously the cut and paste function doesn't work :0 and I never know what kind of smiley I am going to get next time but oh well we could take a vote, see who really cares that we have smiley threads. I know I like the "clubs" but I think someone said we can import full excel pages so those would be easier.

Okay, while it may not be a perfect solution, I've copied this table with the html coding into a text file. So in the future, I should be able to just go into that text and update the amounts. It will take a little more work on my part, but I think the result is pretty readable.

experiment with attachingedited to add: It looks like attaching files might work well for the lists, but I think it would be hard on the mods for the regular updates. Attachments:WIR.xls.jpg (13.5 KB)

shanendoah - As long as you put your tagline in the body of the post, we are good. As a captain, I seldom review the tables that people post unless I have a question. As for the table formatting, if you like how my table up above looks, I will be sending that code (in an excel table) out later.

TABLE GENERATOR... If you want to post a table of your debts in your updates, use the attached excel spreadsheet. Then, just copy cells A1 through M15 in your posts. You could also add rows, just insert them within rows 6 through 12 (2 rows for every racing debt). For example, copying the cells in the attached spreadsheet produces... Debt | Date | Current Value | Starting Date | Starting Value | % Paid off | CC 1 | 12/20/2010 | $1,000 | 12/1/2008 | $2,000.00 | 50.00% | SL 1 | 12/20/2010 | $25,000 | 12/1/2008 | $28,500.00 | 12.28% | CC 2 | 12/20/2010 | $500 | 12/1/2008 | $1,205.00 | 58.51% | HELOC | 12/20/2010 | $12,050 | 12/1/2008 | $15,002.00 | 19.68% | Total | 12/20/2010 | $38,550 | 12/1/2008 | $46,707.00 | 17.46%
Hmmmm.... I don't see the attachment button anymore. <shrugs> Well, if you want the table, just PM me and I'll send it that way.

Hello.... I am new so please bare with me.
One Step Closer 12/27/10; W218; $31,903.09
I hope I got the posting right. My husband and I are in New Mexico, he is working for a Gas Pump Repair company and I just landed a job with a Home Improvement Company and state just after the new year. We sadly live with my parents on their living room floor; we pay the gas and electric bills to help pay our way. We own out right our truck (Dave as we call him) but not much else. We have chosen to pay things off in a different way --- we have chosen to pay off the things listed on our credit reports before anything else. Most of our debt is not on our credit reports because the stores don't report to them so we have made arrangements with them that they are paid in a numbered order.
I hope this fills everyone in on our situation...and may everyone be blessed in the coming new year.

slowbutsure, i have to say i am impressed with all you have figured out. but totally confused with what they are doing with the smileys! I think one of the south captains might have it with the idea of one log in and a fixed post only captains can edit.

Yeah, I e-mailed CG that suggestion awhile back. Even though it is going to be a PITA, I think we still need a smiley thread or post. I think the current preliminary plan is to have the smilies in a word document and then the captains would include the word document as an attachment. Don't quote me on this though. Oh, I can't take credit for the table. I also read the SI board and a poster there figured it out; I just modified it to be more WIRR-related.
