FYi
For all those soon to be mom's, I just saw this awesome commercial for the baby bullet for $80 so you can make your own baby food. It comes with a bunch of stuff, it might be something to look into if you do not want to spend a ton of money on jarred baby food.

I"M SOOOOO EXCITED RIGHT NOW!!!!
My fiance's car passed SMOG (because it came from out of state to California it got tested under different standards) which means we won't need to worry about replacing that car for another year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wahoo! It means no bus for either of us... I'm so elated!

I am little bored so I added the bad smileys! Today marks my 13th week, and more exciting the last week of my first trimester. I am way past over being sick all the time, and sleeping 16 hours a day. Other wise just chugging a long!

dragon2008 I like the smileys but I thought they were meant to stand for what you have paid off not what you owe. I should have no smileys behind my name because I just started my race over and have not paid a thing. Believe me I wish I had a halo.....
Hopefully next month I will have a significant decline in my debt and will get lots of smileys. This buy-out is taking forever and I really believe it is based on all of the lawyers wanting to have more billable hours.

I have made headway in spite of new expenses. My income tax refund was smaller than expected because I cashed in some money last year that I never should have. It seemed like survival at the time, but the tax and penalties made it very costly. This journey is so slow and I get so impatient. But I did stop the bigger debt payments in lieu of keeping savings intact. My 30% sears is gone! My citibank is my next goal - I would love that gone at the end of april, when my free interest program ends. Then I'm focusing on the BofA - but at least all my interest is under 20% now. I still am targeting $39K in a very short time.

One Step Closer: 02/23/11 $ 24,774.76 (12/27/10, $31, 903.09, WU218)
Well, after a busy birthday yesterday, I was surprised that I have excellent eyes, lost some weight, and may be able to get my meds lowered - at least my diabetes meds. Got some money from family too - just not sure how to spend it. Was told not to use it on bills but the temptation!!!!!!
I also turned in the taxes for my DH very small sole proprietor business and will drop off our W-2's tomorrow - just scared that the cost of this will make us dip into the emergency fund. The person we use has raised her rates by almost 80 percent. I think its time to change persons!
In regards to our debt, we were able to get a hold of one of our creditors (Qwest) and they will allow us to pay $202.04 a week for six weeks to pay off the bill we owe them. Then we move onto DH hospital bill - sadly they want it all in one lump sum. We told them it wood take a number of months to save for it, and they agreed to it-so good there too. I am trying to get in contact with some other of our creditors, but playing tag on the phone is not fun.

Just slowly chipping away at the HELOC since that is the only financial burden left in this race. Also, I scheduled the dreaded appointment with the tax accountant. I have a feeling we will be paying this year....ugh. Caio until the next month...

Hello! Happy new year! I have been recently excavated from shale in eastern British Columbia/western Alberta. You may have seen fossil images of me broiling wiwaxia and listening to Sir Harry Lauder on the Victrola. Seriously, anyone with equally ancient yet obviously less dormant userids remember me? If not, then hello new-to-me person who reads this. Know contentment by destroying the tyranny of the ego and smashing the oligarchy of the credit card issuers. Hi All! LaramiK here with some shoutouts. Onestepcloser – so sorry to hear about the truck! Yuck! However, great job on the weight and the meds! I’ve been putting off going to the doctor until I can get my BMI down a couple of points. Bad! Happy birthday and I would say, if paying off bills with your birthday money makes you happy then go for it! You won’t always have to. Twinmama16 – Welcome to the western region! Also, thanks for serving! I’ve got a son in the Navy stationed at Lemoore Naval Air Station but currently deployed on the USS Abraham Lincoln. Love the savings goal! We just started a Disneyland fund. Great first update! You’re going in the right direction! Ambellamy – Yea for df’s car! Dsunshine – Now you have some smileys! I’m trying to get them fixed. Mcreal – Great news on Sears! That 30% was a killer! It is so easy to get impatient but you are headed in the right direction. Cran.vodka – Great update! Good luck on the taxes! PauletteG – Welcome back! I have been around long enough to remember you. I’ve started you out as a newbie so with your first update you will be back on the list.

OK, so here is my attempt at doing the smileys. I think I have it right but looking at all the data can make you crosseyed so there is definitely room for error. UPDATE NoMoreMrDebtGuy (2/27/11-$399,430) (2/25/10-$412,614 WU75)
Headline news: Total Debt drops below $400,000! I have been with WIR for exactly one year and paid down $13,184. Not amazing, but it beats having the amount increase.

Howdy everyone. A bit disappointed in myself. Tax return is here, I wanted to pay off a big chunk- but as it happens, other things happened. My solar system started leaking, my electric blew again, my bathroom went over budget, my sons eigth grade trip became due, my older son had to start drivers ed, I had to pay up front for a conference. I am seeing someone in NY, my sister had a baby, and my uncle was hospitalized again- A lot of travel. I thank g-d I was able to do it all, but- payoff went to the wayside, at least therearen't new bills- I charged the airfares and the 8th grade trip of course, for trip protection, but paid them off as soon as the balance showed, so remain at zero, but the others didn't go down. I did pay 700 to one cc to get rid of the high interest rate balance. Right now, all my CC are 0%-3.99% interest.

I also accepted a new position at work, pay cut will be about 30k per year- some negotiating helped bring down that number. I start in April, at which point, the kids and I will be making some major lifestyle adjustments. I pray we can make it. But, I have alot to play with to cut budget. I am sure I will be asking for everyones wonderful advice when the time comes. Have a great week everyone.

UPDATE: Trojen3: 2/28/11; $92,593.59 (1/22/10 $99,500.13 W42,166) Not much to say right now. Still turtleing along here. This was a better month at work so I hope to be able to finally pay more than the minimum on SL #4. Was hoping to have that one finished by the time DH arrives home from Afghanistan, but it doesn't appear to be the case since he'll be home within the next week to 10 days. Oh well... taxes shouldn't be as much as we thought so I should be able to put some of what I've saved towards that loan! Hope you are all having a great Monday! Well, its final. My Finance finally lives in California, most of his boxes are unpacked... Today he gets his driver's liscence... and tomorrow we shall see how his "audition" for construction work goes.
***crosses fingers***
we can make "ends meet" without him having a job, but it means no extra for the race, no honeymoon, and no way of him paying back his folks, so we are really hoping he can make this work in the short term until he can apply and get a regular paying job.
this weekend we will discuss paying back his folks when we figure out if the job will pan out.

I have some fantastic news to share with all of you... I received a promotion... with a 15% pay increase. So very, very unexpected. I feel so fortunate and undeserving. Regardless, I have set about some goals for this new "found" money. I will be pushing almost every extra cent into my CC. If all goes as planned, which I know it never does, I should now be able to pay off my CC (and win my race!) by the end of this year! Crazy! I should even be able to do this while paying cash for my schooling, which I thought I would not be able to do. Saying all of this seems so surreal.

Hi everyone I have tried to update the 50-100k list as best I can. I am not as good as bankergirl but welcome to sunshinegal1981.Since we aren’t yet getting regular updates of smileys/sheets if your total isn’t correct please post a single update line like you normally would on the thread and I will fix everyone. I did as best I could with just searching for people. notmsnmoney.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=wir&thread=2616&page=1
