Walk, I looked at the pathology report again and at the very bottom on the last page it gave the date. It was submitted or completed 10/27 after 2PM. We left the hospital before than. So the doc may not even review it till Monday. Hubs said he told him he thought he got it all. I said I sure hope so and left it at that.
Well, we will likely hear the info tomorrow, I printed it out so I could take it with me. I don't know how I feel, just kind of up in the air, like this is not real. I don't know if that makes sense, I want to believe life will go on like it was and I'm thinking that inside. But I don't think I believe it. I'm kind of rudderless right now and I have never been that way. It's certainly not a good feeling.

Wow, CVS couldn't get ozempic for DD, the PA suggested she call it in to Walmart and it will be ready tomorrow. Wonder if Walmart is buying up all the drugs? I'm sure they have bargaining power above and beyond any other group. And that is not good. But she needs it and I will go there. Can't believe CVS has been trying to get it for her for 3 weeks. She just used her last full dose.
I got DD's bedding all clean for her today, did her blankets and dusted her floor too. Cleaned out shower, washed the shower curtain and liner, did the sinks. I'm heading for DD's bathroom to clean her sink and tub, than going down and getting bowl cleaner and do the commodes. Cleaned the other litter box and set it up.
Hubs had his soup as did I, DD isn't hungry yet, but will give her a bowl soon. About ready for my shower too. Same old, same old everyday.
Our credit card was compromised again, so have to get a new one, what a pain. This goes on all the time. And we have auto pay on so many bills it really is a pain. I need to make a list and set them up again soon as I get it.
It never got above 40 today, so another cold night. Hubs and I went to 2 places and checked heat last night. One was completetly off the other ok but he turned on the water heater because its in an isolated area. We don't want anything to freeze up and bust right now, he wouldn't be able to fix it, or should not.

I just made vegetable soup for dinner. It tastes pretty good.
I just feel kind of weird about all this. I finally said something to hubs. I didn't want to but didn't want him to walk in blind in the morning either. I told him maybe I just don't understand what it says and everything will be fine. I didn't know what else to say. It may just be me but I think he looks sad.
I'm going to try not to let it upset me until we talk to the PA tomorrow and no matter what be calm than too.

It worked out ok for mom. I went to the attorney as we had to have a letter drawn up that some grave sites came to me. The graveyard wouldn't let me have the stones set till then.
So he just did a small estate letter, saying there were no assets and no bills and mom was deceased, so basically nothing left.
If I remember correctly it was something like $250. I had done nothing either because there was no will and no money left.

Wonder why the doc told hubs and I no issue. He said it was all fine.
I found its what is called pt3a which means the prostrate was removed, there was a tumor, the 3 means 3 lymph nodes had cancer present out of 6 removed and not sure what the a means, but don't think it is bad.
But yes I will be asking questions, I haven't said anything to hubs about what I've read yet and suppose I need to before we go for our visit tomorrow but its with the PA, not the doc.

Yes, I will definitely take the report and ask. I am concerned after reading about several of the vessels and involvement and of course the metastatic part. If it was explained as written, hubs wouldn't understand it and likely wouldn't ask. I should have gone up early and met with the doc too. But hubs kept saying I didn't need to.

I'm thinking about Christmas. I might just buy me some more custom orthotics and maybe some hearing aids, not sure yet. I hear so much about people getting hearing aids and not liking them, I hate to spend the money. Have to think about it. Or maybe just try out a cheap pair first to see what I think about them.
Our headphones for our TV died, both pairs, so hubs found some for $25 each pair. We are going to try them. Neither of us can hear half the shows on telly otherwise.
I'm not buying much for people this year. I wanted to just buy for DD and little guy and nothing for the rest of us. None of us need anything anyway. But we shall see how that goes.
About bedtime for me. We will deal with life, we always have. It just may get harder, again will have to see.

The part that gets me is the doc said everything was fine after the surgery. Perhaps he just meant the procedure went fine. I did talk to him. But that doesn't seem to say so. But this report was done the next day. I bet he told hubs, as I wasn't there when he came really early in the mornings and he either didn't understand or did not tell me.
I'm not sure what to think, perhaps I'm misunderstanding but I doubt that.
Well, it is what it is, not sure what can be done but I will certainly ask to see. But hubs may not choose to do anything more, we shall see.

I just pulled up the pathology report for hubs, to me and from the explanations I have been reading this does not sound good. I don't know if hubs has discussed this with the doc, he never indicated he had. We see the PA Wednesday so maybe he or she will. I'm printing it out and asking about it. But some of you here are familiar with these types of reports. Is it as bad as I think it is? Part of the report FINAL DIAGNOSIS: A. Anterior prostatic tissue: Negative for carcinoma. B. Prostate, radical prostatectomy: Acinar adenocarcinoma. Grade group 3. See Case Summary. C. Posterior bladder neck: Involvement by carcinoma. D. Lymph nodes, bilateral pelvic: Metastatic carcinoma present in 3 of 6 lymph nodes (3/6).
Tumor quantitation via percentage: 51-60% of prostate involved by tumor Extraprostatic extension: Present, non-focal Urinary bladder neck invasion: Present Seminal vesicle invasion: Present, bilateral Lymphovascular invasion: Present Perineural invasion: Present Margin status: Invasive carcinoma present at margin Margins involved by invasive carcinoma: Bladder neck, right and left (Also see Specimen C - posterior bladder neck) Junction of prostate and seminal vesicle, left side Regional lymph node status: Regional lymph nodes present Tumor present in regional lymph nodes Number of lymph nodes with tumor: 3

The sun is shining out but it's 45.
Hubs is over in his recliner, snoring away. He has restless legs and he is working his feet like crazy. I need to go cover them up again shortly. Also washed his sheets and going to make up his bed. Got his med, Phos Nak and he has taken his first dose, so that is good.
CVS told me they were trying to get DD's ozempic for the last 3 weeks and can't get it. They said contact her doc so I did. The nurse P said they haven't heard of that problem here so is sending the scrip to Walmart and we will see what happens. She need to stay on this for sure, for diabetes and weight control, it has been her saving grace.
It says its 75 in here and 50% humidity but to me feels really cold. I'm going to take may shower and see if that warms me up, brrrr.

I woke up about 9 it was really dark. I just don't like this weather, it is miserable and dark out.
We are tucked in today, though later I have to go to town and pick up a scrip for hubs, think I will wash and fix my hair.

While driving been getting tired of some of the music. DD listens to stuff I don't like sometimes. And I don't like the new rock or the new country. And only a few rap songs I will listen to and I couldn't tell you the names.
So DD and I have been listening to some 40's big band music and 50's plus 60's. But I tuned back into some blues. I've always liked it. When I was a kid we went to this barbecue place, best I ever ate and I would play those blues songs on the juke box while we ate. I like a lot of the big bands to listen too. Their music was beautiful and 40's music was some of the best in my opinion.
I like BB King and he has a blues station on sirius. They don't play him often enough but I heard Muddy Waters too yesterday. I like that music, Etta James, and some others I don't remember. So all of us have been listening to more blues than anything. DD really likes it too. It's number 74 on Sirius radio.
I think the old music, all across the board is so much better. Sadly most of the artists are gone from us now. But what a wonderful legacy they left through their music.

We just watched a good movie called "The Burial". We found out when it was over it was based on a real case. It was between a group called the Lowen Group and the O'Keefe's. Was nothing like we thought it would be. It got into race but was really good in my opinion. Others may differ.
Have sweet kitty still, but laying beside me not on top so I can get up.

Hubs is doing well but he wears out easily. He took a showe, changed clothes and by the time he sat down he said I'm beat. So he still has lots of healing to do even though he looks good and says he feels ok. It's hard for me to ever see him like that. I am going to struggle harder watching him age than myself.
Even DD has been getting him things like a glass of water and such. It's nice and warm in here and he has fallen asleep. That is good for him.

Had to go to town and get a few things. Picked up a not healthy lunch for us. DD a cheese and ham croissant from Hardee's, hubs a Whopper with no cheese from Burger King and a fish sandwich for me with nothing but tomato and lettuce. I also got 2 yeast donuts for each of us from the deli. So we all ate high calorie, artery clogging stuff for lunch. But we all enjoyed it too.
I picked up some soups for us for dinner in the evenings this week. We will have home cooked meals the rest of the week.
Had to get hubs some supplies so that is done. It's in the 50's out and drizzling so feels cold. I need to load the trash in the trunk and take it to the dumpster and get it out of the garage.
Son said it got 25 in Olympia, so he went to the modular to make sure the water had not frozen. He is taking care of everyone's health must have struck a cord with him. Tomorrow DIL goes, she is having health issues and he has a visit for grandson with a pediatrician. So that is encouraging. I know its a pain to do but necessary to keep them in good health too. I think he is sitting up an appointment for little guy to go to the dentist too.
I'm back home, will get the trash out, then bathe and put on my PJ's, just sweats, for the evening. I intend to sort and match up paperwork this afternoon yet. And of course do some never ending laundry. Had to get hubs shorts, he only has 2 pair so I can switch them out to wash, so picked up some up.

Had to take hubs to the ER tonight. He thought he had dislodged his catheter as it was leaking. But also he had not been drinking enough liquids today, I told him he wasn't but he didn't listen. Anyway everything turned out ok.
But while we were there it was sad. The police brought one woman in she was screaming, cussing, and going on. Apparently she had been spitting at them so they had a net bag over her head. It was drugs I'm sure. They kept her there quite awhile and then took her away, so I'm guessing to jail. Ok, that noise stopped and about an hour later one was even worse.
That one was in the room next to ours. She even worse. It stopped for a bit and they said she fell asleep again. Looks to me like the police are taking care of the type of people they should not have had to care for. And the hospital is not really equipped either. They need separate places set up for people like this and treat them there. Also some type of help. We have nothing to help these people with. What a shame. I hear things like this and worry about grandson, these kids are so vulnerable.
I had to drive to the city and then drive home near midnight. I made it ok, but made me nervous and at times I drove too slow. Oh the way home encountered 2 fire trucks and an ambulance than a wreck. A little further down and a speeding police care after someone. Busy evening for those folks. We made it home fine but I was and am tense. Going to bed now, but its very very late.

I baked rhodes rolls, they raise nicely and are good. Didn't think abut hubs not being able to eat those, so DD have had 2 each. We LOVE rolls, not good. But we will eat eat half of a steak with mushrooms sauteed, and DD wanted corn, hubs green beans with his chicken. About ready.

Hubs is doing fine. I fixed him campbells vegetarian vegetable last night. Today he had a banana for breakfast and a can of beef veggie soup for lunch. I am baking him a chicken breast for dinner with maybe some steamed carrots. The chicken for sure, thought about a baked or mashed potato but not sure about that. He is drinking juices too. DD and I are splitting a rib eye steak tonight with a baked potato.
Hubs slept pretty good last night. He woke up when I went to bed and was up for awhile than slept again. He is doing really good I think. He finally found his meds, boy, I'm glad figured he would blame me. LOL!
It is cold out today 49, brrrrr. It's 74 in here but feels chilly for some reason, may have to close the drapes. But kitty just curled up on my lap so I will get warmer now. I too have dozed off for a bit.
Pink, I don't know if you take vitamins, but I can take a B complex and gives me more energy. Right now DD and I are just taking a chewable Centrum. But if I get really tired I start taking those for awhile.
I haven't done a lot today, some laundry and picking things up. We are all doing good.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about that stuff. I get tired of cooking now, can only imagine if I had to do things like that to cook.
My kitty is asleep by me,Tiger is in their room. I'm sure hubs is asleep. I need to check his pouch to make sure its not leaking. I'm so happy he is getting some rest. Being in a hospital is exhausting
My feet are hurting tonight, I walked too much today. I don't see much being done here tomorrow, if its raining. So I may vacuum the garage out and do some cleaning in here. Will see how tomorrow goes. Hubs may be able to eat something tomorrow, we shall see. I have a couple of rib eyes thawed and we can have baked potatoes with them if hubs can eat. But I think he should remain on his mostly liquid diet until Monday.

I am exhausted, I have been running all day to get stuff hubs needed to eat. Than his meds, than go get him. Bring him home, before that fixed his bed, got the stuff in, sorted the pills. Somehow he has misplaced his normal meds. He knows he did nothing with them, I have looked everywhere. I know he was trying to take them with us to the hospital and I kept telling him, they wouldn't let him have them, he finally relented, but what the hell he did with them I have no idea.
He did get some relief from the gas, not enough but some, his poor abdomen was so distended. And he was able to take a shower, that made him happy. He has been trying to figure out what meds he could take and which ones were opiates, I must have told him 10 times. I hope the anesthesia after affects are just making him kind of droogy. I would hate for him to continue this way.
And I get on the phone to the pharmacy and he is sitting there telling me what to say. PLEASE! I have done this stuff all my life and I really don't need coaching from the side.
He has a med he is supposed to take Sunday and then have a lab Monday, then go to the office Wed. Well the doc just ordered it today and they can't get it in till Monday. I have called 2 pharmacies, well 3 and the last one was closed. I told him we are just going to have to change all the appointments. Not much else we can do. The stuff is called Phos-Nak 250mg. None of them have it in stock. I will try some others tomorrow in the city, if someone has it we will transfer the scrip to get it. But I don't think we can. I tried calling the doc but it was too late. Did not realize we didn't have it till later, so too late to do anything about it today.
I am going to have to do a ton of driving the next few weeks to appointments and places, I'm already tired just thinking about it. I don't like driving all over from way out here, but he can't so no choice. Plus he is a back seat driver, my oh my. I'm working hard already to maintain my sense of humor, hope I can do so. Haven't made it a full day yet with Mr invalid, LOL! I knew he would drive me nuts being in the house all the time with nothing to do. But I thought I could handle it for a couple of weeks and haven't even made it a full day yet. He is in bed now and watching TV. He said this is soooo much more comfortable, well of course, so hope he is somewhat settled in for the evening. His incisions are healing and looking good, so that's great.
DD and I had Subway, now I'm gnoshing on some canned pineapple packed it its own juice. pretty good stuff. And going to watch some telly. He said he hasn't slept good for days, he took a gabapentine so I'm hoping that helps him quit hurting and rest.

I brought hubs home. The doc was not really wanting to release him but hubs said he can drink fluids and eat broth at home and wait for the gas to release. It has not. The doc said ok if he would follow the liquid diet, he will. They showed me how to empty the bag, no big deal to that. And he is wanting to take a shower, he has not bathed since Tuesday, but wiped off only.
I have to go over meds and see what he needs to take and when. He is hurting but not taking the opiods, we know they slow do bowel activity. His incisions are healing well, most of the tape is off.
I bought him all kinds of items to drink, made him jello. Also have broth.
He has been in his recliner and first thing he did was fall asleep, I imagine he is very tired. He said it's good to be home.
The doc said if he started vomiting get him to the ER PDQ. I went through that when DD had a colon resection. She started vomiting and they had to put a gastric tube in and pump her stomach, she almost drowned. There was a young nurse that didn't seem to know anything, I went out and found a nurse coming on shift, an older experienced traveling nurse and she was awesome. She got a tube in her and set everything up and honestly saved her life. They were afraid she was going to have to have an ostomy, but her gut finally started working. So this is not my first parade.
He and I are just of the attitude all this will turn out well. We will assume the cancer won't return and he won't have issues. Why think any other way? Of course if it doesn't than we can go from there. Just another part of life we have to deal with.

Southwestern Indiana, oh my was 78 today!! Supposed to be in the 70's again tomorrow, unreal for end of October.
But starting Sat high in 50's some rain and 2 nights next week to the low 20's, so its changing. We desperately need rain here. But the trees are prettier than I have seen them in years.

We have time to think I hope. The last house will be sold next year. We had planned to store stuff there, but if we live in the modular we will need to build a small shed and area by the carport up there.Whether hubs can do it or not is to be seen. But we have to have permission of the entity that owns the park also.
Hubs says its fine if we live there, he keeps telling me that. He said it leaves extra money for anything else we want or need to do.
The big issue is going to be timing and logistics.
Right now I'm worried about him getting ok. Son has called twice today, think he is kind of concerned too. I expected hubs to have problems with the aneurysm or afib. I never expected cancer, where it is, of course, I know it is quite common.

DD and I went up to see hubs this afternoon. Poor man can still not release the gas in his bowel. He can from his stomach. He is very bloated and said it was hurting him. He has been walking, they have given him all kinds of things even having him chew gum. They said if he had not by this evening were going to have to do something. They want it to happen naturally but poor guy can't keep on like this. He said they have taken all kinds of blood from him for testing. We are concerned the bowel has been injured some way. I read less than 1% are, but I sure hope he is not part of the 1%.
They even stopped pain meds because opiods cause bowel issues too. He was hurting more and said that was probably why.
We stayed till close to 5 and DD was getting tired so we headed out. I had to stop and get meds. I also picked up ham salad and cole slaw, she ate that. I'm eating some more of my salmon bites.
There are 4 sealed packages of salmon in the pack and each one a slightly different seasoning though I can't tell the difference. Sam's Club had them on sale, the pound was $11, a great price.
Than son calls and he is so mad, they are having trouble getting tests for DIL. He said something needs done, she had diarrhea all night again. She was not feeling good when I was up there and she too looked bloated. He was to the point he took off work to get the results and hand them to the doctor. Found out the phone number that lab used was not the right one. What a mess. I really worry about care up there. I'm starting to worry here too about hubs. He is not a complainer, and he knows all the nurses, he said they are all very nice to him. He doesn't realize people like him. They probably thought it was awful I had not been there 2 days in a row.
Son said DIL was teaching little guy how to cook his own breakfast. I told son if they needed me I could come up. I wonder if she is going to have to have surgery.
In good news, it was 78 here today and is to be tomorrow. Than after that looks like a high in the 50's some rain and in the 30's at night with a couple of nights in the 20's. Damn winter is coming, I hate it.

He just called and said they aren't releasing him tonight, so that's good. The reason isn't so good though, not because of me, but issues he is having.
Thank goodness we have good insurance, it won't cost us anything as we have plan G for him. The premiums sound high until you have issues like this.

I just hope he is ok and doesn't require more surgery. He seems to be having several issues. I'm not saying to him but I'm worried about him.
