The whistleblower can come to Canada. We'll give him a parade. I just got back from your lovely country. I was very smitten with Charlottesville on PEI, I'm ready to move there.
Struggled with the Quebec accented French, although if I talked slowly in my redneck accented French they slowed down to where I could understand it a little better (and they could understand me a little better, no doubt).
Poutine was gross, sorry, but had some very nice microbrewed beer along the way. Quebec was awesome. Gaspe had some interesting roads and drivers.
That's very hurtful.

That's very hurtful. Doesn't the name 'poutine' literally mean mess? Is there any way that a dish made of gravy, cheese curds and fries can be served in a way that does not look gross?
You can come down here and insult souse, if you like. I don't care, I'm not from the South, I don't claim that shit. We eat scrabble instead.

Ummm, scrabble is a word game...but you might eat scrapple! Personally, I don't want any of those...poutine, souse or scrapple! And now that I'm an adult, I'll pass on blood pudding too!

And it is scrabble, Kadee is right.

I ate scrabble once, broke a couple teeth and pooped out a triple word score worth 51.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. It's OK....poutine isn't for everyone. Did you visit Montreal? Did you have our fabulous smoked meat and world-renowned bagels? Hit the Old Port?

Nope, nope, nope! That's not how it's supposed to be! It's supposed to be served very hot, with melting cheese and squeaky-fresh cheese curds.

My parents, who generally eat high quality, fancy, fresh, "foodie" food eat scrapple. They grew up on it, and eat it whenever they get their hands on it. After trying it once and finding it gross I asked my Mom what was in it. She said "Every scrap from the pig, except the oink."

It was on here once I noted that scrapple is eaten with syrup and people just about had a cow...

Didn't get a lot of time in Montreal. We were near the old port, stayed in a nice B and B type place across from one of the old indoor bazaars in the old part of town. Visited the cathedral and the Montreal history museum, they had an interesting archeological dig in the basement. Interesting how the old part of town looks so much like a Paris neighborhood, with the mansard roofs.

So it was one of those "I'm resigning so I can testify' deals.
Regardless of what he says, GOP lawmakers will be hard-pressed to dismiss Morrison, formerly a longtime Republican staffer at the House Armed Services Committee. He's been bouncing around Washington in Republican positions for two decades, having worked for Rep. Mark Kennedy, R-Minn., Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., and as a GOP senior staffer on the House Armed Services Committee, including nearly four years when it was chaired by Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas.
They might be hard pressed but they'll figure out a way to drag him through the mud, too.

I love the Old Port....it's great for people-watching in a lovely setting. Even a lot of the locals go there. I was there just the other day.

I have watched parts of the TV series on PBS.

I wish this wasn't true. It seems now all the GOP stands for is making money and staying in power. (At least at the federal level. )

Watching a MSN news article, at the end is a informal poll. One of the questions asked was, Do you believe Trump will impeached? Yes O No O don't know O There were 10,743 responses. 65% said No.

Those MSN polls are skewered....the majority who participate in them are white males ages 54 & up!
I know due to my own participation in them & they have had these questions so you can see exactly who is participating.
The average education of the majority is also "some college" or an associate degree.
