no. I actually already answered that. I specifically said that is what I think of when you say "open border".
I then asked YOU what you mean if that is not what you mean. you ducked that question. please answer it.
What do you think about Medicaid for illegals in California. Think this helps with stopping the flow of illegals ? I have not researched the subject enough to comment. but it would probably increase immigration, if I would venture a guess.

yes you do. I wasn't talking about what you said in post 123. I asked you what you think "open borders" means.
so....what do you think "open borders" means?
No restriction upon entry. Or, no enforcement of the restrictions of entry. Or both of the above, while offering the same services that tax paying citizens get, to those of illegal entry.

Can't private industry take care of the illegal immigration problem? I hear that is the cheapest, most efficient way to solve complex problems. I am sure they have no reason to encourage it, because they always want what is best for a strong society.

Seems simple to me. The Repo-Cons say Demos are for open borders. It's bullshit but that's how they roll, especially now with his bovinity in the White House. Instead of all the parsing and oo la la, any Repo-Con here that does not believe the Demos are for open borders should just say so. Otherwise we can assume they believe the bs and, subsequently, pity them.

No restriction upon entry. Or, no enforcement of the restrictions of entry. Or both of the above, while offering the same services that tax paying citizens get, to those of illegal entry. people on work visas and permanent residents pay taxes, so they should get the same services as citizens, imo. those that are visiting here certainly should be able to count on law enforcement and the courts if they get jacked or detained. so, yeah, if that is what you mean by "entry" I am in favor of all of that.
if you are talking about illegal or unchecked entry, I don't know of one person who thinks that should be tolerated.
do you?

Illegal immigration ? Legal immigration ? Both ? probably both. but the further you extend the question beyond my threshold of knowing, the more uncertain I get.

For what they pay in, yes. 👍 Illegals, as in not checked in, no.

I duck nothing. Best re-read my last line in #123. It should of had a question mark, but my tablets auto correct always puts a period when I hit a double space at the end of a sentence. Reading the words show it was a question. The first 3 "Whatever happened to" is kind of a giveaway. Don't be fooled by bills attempt to change context by only leaving one sentence of my post showing when he quotes me, and then taking it out of context. It's lame at best. Hint, the answer to my question is we never had open borders. That's why we have border patrol for quite some time now, and entry checkpoints, and fences/walls. These things are important for controlling entry. What do you think about Medicaid for illegals in California. Think this helps with stopping the flow of illegals ? not sure but I believe Medicaid coverage is determined by the States individually....If so...then the political parties willNot arguing about the Hatch act.be the ones the voting public will hurt or support...not my personal call,,,neve lived in California..though many close cousins and my ex wife does...
