Two problems I see here:
1. Women are significantly under-represented in Alabama’s legislature.
2. The non-religious are significantly under-represented in Alabama’s legislature.
Both I believe will be corrected over time but it sure is going to be painful with crap like this getting passed until it is.
Talibama, an appropriate designation indeed.

Alabama is one of 26 states that have been pegged as gerrymandered. Of those 26, 18 favor Republicans, including Alabama.

And the governor of Alabama is a woman . Please explain to me how ANY woman could sign a law making no exceptions for rape or incest. Next she'll be signing something saying women can't have bank accounts or own property... I just can't wrap my head around this...

Apparently, none of these "decision-makers" have daughters. I wonder what happens when one of their own kids get raped. A sudden "vacation" to Europe, perhaps, so no one knows about their own abortions? Remember, bad things can happen to "good" people, too.

this is a law designed to be struck down. No, this is a law designed to go to the Supreme Court and take down Roe vs. Wade. And Monday's ruling on that tax court case shows that precedent is not important to the 2 new justices on the Court... The only hope is the Chief Justice and his concern for his legacy and the legitimacy of the Court.

Yes, but this wouldn't have had to happen if all the silly women did what they were told in the first place.
Which is stay at home with dad, until they're old enough to move in with husband, then stay at home with husband ( 14 is old enough) and bang out kids. Amen.
Welcome to Talibama.

It's the poor women who bear the burden of these kinds of laws, but they sure make the self righteous in Alabama feel good about themselves.

Well at least one of the few women in their congress has a counter-proposal: "Alabama Democrat: "Maybe we need to come up with a castration bill" From CNN's Eric Levenson and Alta Spells
Sen. Linda Coleman-Madison, an Alabama Democrat, suggested that Democrats create a "castration bill."
The way their male senators are behaving this should be fair game and the only people allowed to vote on it should be women! The whole goose/gander thingy comes into play here

Yep. Self-righteous like this guy. He'll have to send his mistresses to Europe or Canada now, while he whines about how terrible abortion is. Pro-Life Rep. Tim Murphy Pressured Mistress to Get Abortion A CONSERVATIVE Republican congressman whom conservative organizations have praised for being an anti-abortion crusader sent text messages to his married lover in January, urging her to get an abortion after believing she was pregnant, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported. www.post-gazette.com/news/politics-nation/2017/10/03/rep-tim-Murphy-pro-life-sought-abortion-affair-shannon-edwards-susan-mosychuk-pennsylvania-chief-of-staff-congress-emails-texts/stories/201710030018

Maybe now that evangelicals will forgive all sexual deviancy for their side of the aisle, politicians can start living their principles. But watch out Democrats. If you even glance at a woman, your career is over.

So according to this bill a heartbeat designates life. Then what happens at the end of life, when a heartbeat is being kept going only by a ventilator? If you look at a ventilator comparable to as a woman's body, the logical expectation is that Talibama is going to need to invest in a whole lot of ventilators to deal with end of life issues too, right? As long as you keep the heartbeat going, it's alive and you can do nothing to stop it.

Looks like Trudeau's tweet, welcoming those fleeing from persecution, will soon apply more to Americans than Syrians. We'll take your liberal women and your gays with open arms.

Oh they have daughters their sweet petunias would never open their legs for the boys.... they'd just do what the girls at my school were said to do to protect their virginity. Can't make a baby that way, but values intact!

Funny how they don't have purity balls for their sons. "Boys will be boys! Got laid? High five!" whiteroseball.com/about-us/

What is it with conservative GOP politicians and their mistresses abortions?
I thought you were talking about this guy:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_DesJarlais Not only did he pressure his mistress to get an abortion, his ex-wife accused him of physical abuse. That was way back in 2011, he's still in office to this day.
Plus, he looks like the Addams Family Uncle Fester.
They sure love to make rules on what other people can do, don't they?

I just read an editorial by a woman who said she was pregnant at 12 from rape/incest. Apparently her Dad was high up in the Police Department and either was the Rapist or was looking the other way. She said it was after 6 weeks when she took the pregnancy test, and she points out that if anyone that age is pregnant it is definitely rape/incest as someone that age can not legally give consent.
I think the Mother's life should take precedent. If he life is at risk, it should be up to her if she wants to abort or continue. I am Pro-Choice all the way though, but that is the big think that formed my opinion.
Why would we want a woman to risk her life carrying a pregnancy that is incompatible with life to full term? If she has other children, who will be responsible for their emotional and physical well being until they are 18?
