No, but I'll check them out. I'm pretty sure in a previous life I was a horrible, awful, evil serial killer that flayed victims because karma has blessed me with super sensitive skin that seems to be constantly trying to escape from my body. Guess by now I've made the modifications to life that seem reasonable and am just used to the remaining stuff just sort of being in various states of annoying/irritating. Was watching Naked and Afraid the other night and pretty sure just watching it gave me hives. Even the stupid stuff in the beginning before they even get into the wilderness. Like when they first get out of the vehicle and strip off their clothes - must be super nice to take everything off and not have weird marks all over from your clothes or things you've brushed against in the store. Even with wearing the most comfy stuff I can find, if I were to strip down right now it would be a couple of hours before the red marks or indents where a seam touched went away. When I'm older and no longer GAF about appearance at all I'm going to wear some sort of loose flowy muu muu type thing that only touches at the shoulders. Bealls has those dresses, and they're actually kind of cute. Very beachy/summery. I have one. On a tall day I’m 5’3”. Maxi dresses and long skirts make me look like a beach ball. Plus the extra fabric gets in the way of activities. So I’m looking forward to the muumuu days, but they have to happen when I’m both totally OK with looking completely spherical and am no longer ambulatory. Thinking maybe starting at 97?

So do I. When Ulta has their 20% off sale on prestige skin care stuff, I buy 3 tubes of Murad, and 6 bottles of the face wash. This lasts me a year. It is also about a $200 purchase. How much face wash are you using?! One bottle lasts me a year. I use it daily, occasionally on a washcloth for a little more scrubbing action. It really seems to do a good job of keeping the seborrhea off my forehead.

I'm visiting family in SC and plan to stop at Kleinschmidt's off I-70 on my way home. They have a giant selection of good boots. I ventured into the place a few months ago on my way home from someplace else (it's about an hour from me) and the alse rack was right up front and had tons of selections, including some good brands made in the USA (Justin and Lucchese). I was in and out in 10 minutes and found what I wanted for $100 less than I had expected to pay. I'm sure I'll find something I can't live without!

I’m not complaining either. At some point though I’m going to buy these types of socks that go with my ballet flats. bombas.comMy son got me some of the Bombas socks for Christmas. He knows I'm like the Princess and the Pea with socks - can't ever find comfy socks because the seams bunch or rub and drive me insane all day long. I spend a good portion of the time I'm wearing sneakers and socks wiggling my toes to move the sock seams away. I tried wearing the Bombas socks today for the first time and they seemed good. Was a little worried because they aren't totally seamless, but the seam is small and only on top, seemed good. I'm cautiously hopeful these could be good. I’ve been wearing Bombas about a year now. Damned expensive, but good. Occasionally either the Today show or The View will have them on as a deal and you can get them 50% off....which is the cheapest I’ve found them. They limit the number you can buy though.

I also don’t use my food processor often. I have a Hamilton Beach that’s at least 15 years old. I’ll make bread crumbs with it. Also pasta dough.

No seams touching your skin that way. Hmm DS refuses to wear socks, maybe I need to try this with him. Santa put 5 pairs of Paw Patrol socks in his stocking. It really limits all the stuff he can do because a lot of the play places are no shoes, socks required. I bought the Harry Potter and Dr. Who cookbooks as gifts. They looked pretty fun. I need to buy clothes and grooming products with my gift cards. My Clarisonic died a few months ago, the cheap face brush I bought isn't cutting it, might try the Olay version. Clarisonic Mia is $200 now which is definitely not happening. I'd also like to try to find some new "Curly Girl Method" approved hair products. My hair is a wavy frizzy mess lately and I'd love to get a bit more curl.

Cold weather gear. I joined a walking challenge for 2019 and really ramped up my walking in the past 4 months. We've had relatively good weather so for this month I've already walked 116.4 miles, all outside on the trails. Mentally I cannot put in that kind of mileage on the treadmill. Even with TV, music or podcasts I find it mind-numbingly boring. So, time to buy the proper attire for walking outdoors in the winter.

The design on the socks may look different when you do this, so it's best with solid-coloured socks.

A truckload of tissues. I have the cold from hell and with all the tissues I have already used today I am just plain amazed that I am not completely hollowed out.

I don't know if I'm buying a new computer but for damn sure have to at least invest in a tech to install a new operating system on the old one, if he can. I'm now caught in a bad loop-many websites won't recognize the current version of my browsers and I can't update the browser versions b/c they don't play with my old XP operating system. As of today, I can't access my Chase cc accounts because they say my browser doesn't meet their security standards. Guess what, their credit card won't be meeting my convenience and accessibility standards going forward. I don't mean to sound snarky, but why are you punishing chase? You are the one who continued to not upgrade your OS, even though XP hasn't been supported for 4 YEARS!
It's possible at this point that your hardware won't be compatible with windows 7, let alone 10. Buying new may be your only option.
I plan to buy another gadget to feed my nail art hobby.Because when I called and asked to have an old-fashioned paper statement sent for the first time in ages, they said I had to make that election online. Online on their website. Online on their website which their security protocols won't let me access. It would have been one of the funnier conversations I've had in my life if I wasn't so totally pissed. I just find their "security" posturing a little much when I have zero problems accessing Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Citi Bank, Capital One, and all the other banks and brokerages I do business with. I know I've been postponing this but my computer guy keeps saying the newer Windows versions are trash and he encourage all his clients to stay with XP as long as possible.

@donethat - That sounds pretty negligent of the computer guy, sorry. I use linux, windows 7 and windows 10 at work and have no problem with any of them. And, I'll add that I contract for a worldwide IT corporation.
I get the frustration, however, of not being able to follow their instructions. What about trying a library pc? Or some other PC that you have access to and is more current?

Although I'm his only residential client, I am beginning to rethink his advice. I really like the dude and he's saved my rear a number of times but I might look around a little. I absolutely don't trust our library systems but have a good friend I trust implicitly and, if I can't get things working by the next billing cycle, I'll ask her to retrieve the statements for me. I have no problem with giving her my password and security questions. Heck, she has my cc number because I buy my office supplies through her. Hummmmm, I'll have to check her prices on new computers. Thanks for caring and trying to give good answers - I didn't think you were snarky and appreciate your help.

Moon, did you hand paint the design s on your nails, or are they decals? Looks great. Thanks! It's a technique called "reverse nail stamping". This video has several different examples of ways to stamp. Examples 1 and 2 are just basic stamping. Example 3 is most of what I did this time. Although, she made it into a decal, whereas I let it on the stamper and put it on my nail. That's her example 4.
My thumb, which you can't see, is done using layered stamping, where you stamp one image first, then another image (or mre than one, even) in a different color on top.

It's a silicone massager like the Foreo Luna. I'm intrigued by not needing to bother with replacement brush heads. If it doesn't work for me I'll probably bite the bullet and just get another Clarisonic. My old one made it 7 years.

How much face wash are you using?! One bottle lasts me a year. I use it daily, occasionally on a washcloth for a little more scrubbing action. It really seems to do a good job of keeping the seborrhea off my forehead. I'm still boggled over using six bottles of face wash in a year. With the Mario Badescu stuff a little goes a long way; two bottles max in a year!

I did my self shopping today. With $200 cash, a state store gift card, an Ulta gift card, and a Visa gift card (pro tip - save yourself the $4 fee and just get me a Target gift card 😂) I got: *Sperry duck boots (and used a $20 off DSW coupon) *two clearance workout tops *Olay night cream *Dove body wash foam *Facial cleansing wipes *Pepto *Cat litter (I said just give me a Target card!) *Burt's lip balm *La Croix water 8-pack *Living Proof TBD heat styling cream *Colourpop lipstick *Bourbon *Garnacha *Wool blend coat from a consignment shop
I'm happy with my day. I have $46 cash left.

People use vastly different amounts of personal care stuff. Since oldest son went off to college we discovered he single handedly uses more shower gel and shampoo than the remaining three of us combined. Oh, and our gallons of water used per month has decreased by about half, even though only 25% of us left... He's been home visiting for the last week and a half and once again, the shower gel and shampoo are disappearing like he just opens them up and pours them out. No idea WTF he's doing with them, maybe eating them? Don't tell me - I don't want to know.

If I do Visa gift cards, I have my brother get them. You can get no fee ones at a couple of banks. TD is one of them and he has an account there.

DS uses half a bottle of Dawn dish detergent when he "helps" me with the dishes.

With my birthday and christmas money I'm getting the new Ina Garten cookbook and unofficial harry potter cookbook. Let me know what you think of the Harry Potter one. My daughter looked at it but wasn't impressed. But she's 10 and really only interested in baking.

I used less in KY, I use more in WA. I suspect it is how it reacts with the local water, but it takes more for the same effect. I also noticed about the time I moved (so around 2012) they changed the formulation.

In addition to new tires, I am going to be spending a bit over $1100 replacing the head gasket on my car. Sigh. OTOH, I was right. DH kept telling me that I didn’t have an oil leak, because “there isn’t oil in that part of the engine.” First, Second, the radiator overflow bottle is, and the oil is coming from there. Glad we have a mechanic we trust, but we’re a one-car family for the next couple of weeks.
