To be clear, I am NOT COMPLAINING!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT AT ALL!!! I was EXTREMELY spoiled this Christmas, by both my DH and my kids. Spoiled beyond my wildest dreams!!!
But there were a few things I need and didn't receive. I'm sure it's the same for many of you, no matter how generous your gifts. I thought it would be fun to list what we'd be buying for ourselves, AFTER Christmas. For me it's:
- a USB hub for my new MacAir that I got for my birthday last month (just ordered on Amazon)
- new underwear. My old underwear literally falls down (I've lost 40 lbs) - one or two pairs of sweatpants because DH's old sweatpants fall down too (ditto).
What about you?

There are always some great sales in January (including Victoria's Secret). I'm just sort of waiting to see if there are such amazing deals that I can't resist. I've hit that point in life that I don't want more "stuff", it's got to be something (like clothes) that I will actually use. I did go out today and buy some candy at 1/2 price, to use for baking.

Bluetooth ear buds, so I can listen to podcasts when I walk in the morning, and I also want to buy an anti-aging face moisturizer. Can anyone recommend one that works? So many to choose from. I currently use the regular OlaY or Aveda, but want/need something better.

busymom for the first time in literally decades, I am actually looking forward to going into places like that once the sales start (first week of Jan here)! There are no VS here (as far as I know) here but there are other similar boutiques. And same here, no need for more Stuff, but I was SO happy with the smaller-sized clothes I got this year!

I’m not complaining either. At some point though I’m going to buy these types of socks that go with my ballet flats. bombas.com

I don't know if I'm buying a new computer but for damn sure have to at least invest in a tech to install a new operating system on the old one, if he can. I'm now caught in a bad loop-many websites won't recognize the current version of my browsers and I can't update the browser versions b/c they don't play with my old XP operating system. As of today, I can't access my Chase cc accounts because they say my browser doesn't meet their security standards. Guess what, their credit card won't be meeting my convenience and accessibility standards going forward.

Happy prose I have my favorites but I'm in France so I will let others respond. ETA: And thank you! It took me 6 months but hey, the 6 months would have gone by anyway.

Rec center punch cards. They do a good sale in December so might as well stock up so we don't have an excuse not to go the rest of the year.

I bought myself four new tires today. Or was that not exactly what you had in mind?
Seriously, my brother wasn’t able to get enough time off work to travel to my parents, so we will be having our family Christmas on twelfth night when he finally gets here. My sister gave explicit “don’t buy it because you didn’t get it” instructions, so I won’t. I did buy myself lights for our front yard today on clearance, though. I’m planning to lose some weight next year, so I’m holding off on clothes until that happens. I do have my eye on a couple pieces of furniture, one for the kitchen and one for the upstairs hall.

I need to buy a case for my new kindle.
From work I have $100 for Target that I gotta figure out what I'll spend it on. They don't have the kitchenaid food processor attachment there that I want, so I'm trying to come up with a new "I'd like but I'm not spending that much money on" thing.

Nothing, really. We're on absolute needs-only buying for the foreseeable future. DH gave me GC for funsies things, and my ILs are generous with cash..so anything I need will need to be taken out of their gift.

I currently use the regular OlaY or Aveda, but want/need something better. I like IT cosmetics products. I'm in my early 30s and most think I'm like 25. Probably mostly due to genes but it could be the products!! Can't say I personally have a lot of experience in their before/after things, but I do like all the things I've used by them. I'm currently using their Confidence in a Cream moisturizer - and wow is it moisturizing!! Any dryness I have is immediately gone and it's so creamy I have to put in my contacts first because it's almost impossible to pull my lids down once it's on! They recently came out with an eye cream in that line, but I haven't tried it. I have their Bye Bye under eye cream that I like.

I got mainly cash and gift cards so I'm going to shop for myself soon. I'm hard to buy for so I think everyone gave up and just gift me the ability to pick it out for myself. On my 'me' shopping list: Duck boots New commuter purse Work out clothes Living Proof TBD hair cream Bourbon (liquor store gift card)

I swear by a glycolic acid for gentle, daily exfoliation (for me, I don't have particularly sensitive skin). I use Mario Badescu glycolic acid face wash and rotate with a gentle skin cleanser on days I don't use it. I also use No.7 microdermabrasion polish once a week. I use Olay Regenerist serum, Belif bergamot herbal toner, and Belif Aqua Bomb moisturizer. I'm also super into hair and makeup if you want to talk about that!

I bought myself a bit too much before Christmas. Doesn't mean I won't buy more, but I probably won't for a while.

I bought the new washer and dryer a few days before Christmas. Ordered new kitchen gloves today. Will leave the current pair with our hosts of the last 6 months, since they didn't have anything that worked nearly as well. New earbuds with speaker, because I left my current pair in a place accessible by the Beagle last night, and she destroyed them.
Otherwise: Couch, water heater, curtains, closet organizers, pots & pans....
Luckily, all my Christmas gifts (except from C) are cash this year.

You are the one who continued to not upgrade your OS, even though XP hasn't been supported for 4 YEARS!
It's possible at this point that your hardware won't be compatible with windows 7, let alone 10. Buying new may be your only option.
I plan to buy another gadget to feed my nail art hobby.

Probably a root canal. Currently in throbbing pain. Knew I needed one but have been irrationally avoiding it. Don’t currently have a dentist so hopefully I can self refer to an endodontist. 😖

I currently use the regular OlaY or Aveda, but want/need something better. I use Murad anti aging moisturizer. Unfortunately, the price has doubled since I started using it (about 15 years ago). I started using it as at the time it was the only one I could find that had an SPF of 30 in it and didn’t smell. I think I pay about $52 for it now, but a tube lasts about 4 months.

Food processor. Anyone have any recommendations? Just as an FYI, I’m not a major cook/baker so some of the bells and whistles may get lost on me.

When Ulta has their 20% off sale on prestige skin care stuff, I buy 3 tubes of Murad, and 6 bottles of the face wash. This lasts me a year. It is also about a $200 purchase.
