Trump voters scare me though- between his clarifying one of his supporters calling Cruz a , and their wild support for bringing back waterboarding and 'worse' I just hope half of America is not full of them (bullies with an axe to grind)- or I will be joining our other poster and moving the hell out of this country- for real. Have been eyeing a lot of countries for retirement and a Trump presidency is the one thing that would motivate me to get it done And it isn't Trump himself- it is the people that he appeals to- there are normal people out there in other countries that see this farce for what it is and wonder if Americans are insane- and if half of us are- buh bye. I will be sure and report the move so some of you can tell me good riddance and document whether the door hit me in the ass on the way out.

.34 of .4 is like 14% of the public, max... Not 50, thankfully!

That's the big question isn't it- Trump has his 35% or whatever- but it ain't 50. 65% did not vote for him- where do the votes go when other people fall out. I don't think he can pull it off if it goes down to two people. I think Rubio is over- angry robot not going to cut it. I hope at least 3-4 bail after this but I won't hold my breath. I am OK with Bush or Kasich winning- I want no part of a Cruz, Trump, or now a Rubio presidency. I think that depends on the "two people"... As I mentioned to djpolldancer... if you want to go the "% didn't vote for" route, then "over 80%" didn't vote for {insert any GOP candidate OTHER THAN Trump here} Don't get me wrong... I'm not a supporter of Trump. I just refuse to cast him aside before his time is officially done. I think you are right. Depends on the two left standing if it gets to that. But look at the numbers- the establishment candidates have the edge IMO. Trump + Cruz + Carson still under 50%- assuming Trump would get 10% of their votes. I think Trump's success is highly dependent on the other candidates sticking it out. I also think there is going to be some huge pressure on the low performers to get out. Have to say this is the only primary I have ever enjoyed following- and I won't be voting for the GOP anyway

I'm not a supporter of Trump. I just refuse to cast him aside before his time is officially done. I think as the other GOP candidates fall away, the voters will mostly go with the remaining GOP candidate, whoever that is. Trump has big negative numbers, I don't see him getting a lot of additional voters.
The problem for the GOP is these first two primaries have been all over the place with no clear second place candidate. If some of the rest of them don't drop out, the Republican convention will be the most interesting one we've had in many generations.
Also interesting to see what happens in open primary states, where Dems can vote for GOP candidates in the primaries. Will Dems vote for Trump because they think Hillary can peel him like a grape?

I've heard some of the stuff going on in the crowds at Trump's rallies and it really scares me. The crowd ganging up on an Indian and calling him 'ISIS,' threatening to kill him and all Muslims - I really hope my fellow citizens are only carried away in the moment and aren't really that intolerant of other religions (and so bloodthirsty.)
Please do document your move out because I may be following right behind you.

BTW has anyone actually moved to Canada that has threatened to move to Canada? And, you can't just move to Canada as they aren't an open sieve like America is. They might not want you.

Honestly, I have stopped paying Trump any attention whatsoever. I change the channel whenever I see or hear him (which means I am pretty much avoiding the news these days). The man makes me sick, but Cruz makes me sicker. I think Trump just wants attention. He will say whatever outrageous thing pops in his head or he thinks will get him media attention. I am not even sure HE believes what he is saying. Cruz, on the other hand, I have seen first hand in the Texas legislature. The man is scary...

What came of that? Nothing. It was another swipe at a Republican. Just like last week when Carson said he was headed to Florida for a change of clothing. Christie's campaign said he was heading home to New Jersey for I think, evaluation of the campaign. He did call Trump and congratulated Trump before Trump spoke on his victory. I imagine Trump told him to stick it out through South Carolina and take out Rubio and Cruz for him at the debate.

Nine AM this morning on an extended hour of "Joe in the Morning" wth Mika and Joe, they had Chris Mathews on. He said Cruz was a troll, subhuman, and evil. Joe had to calm him down a little and told him hold on, it's only 9 am in the morning....... Mathew's reasoning? Cruz hates President Obama

Are they limiting the debate number again? I was looking forward to Florina being on the stage, and Ben Carson missing the cut based on votes last night.

I was looking forward to Florina being on the stage, and Ben Carson missing the cut based on votes last night. In order to qualify for this debate, candidates will have to meet one of the following criteria: 1) Place among the top five candidates ranked according to the popular vote in the New Hampshire Republican primary on Feb. 9, 2016; 2) have placed among the top three candidates ranked according to the popular vote in the Iowa Republican caucuses on Feb. 2, 2016; 3) place among the top five candidates in an average of national and South Carolina Republican presidential polls conducted over a four-week period starting on Jan. 15, 2016 and recognized by CBS News; and receive a minimum of 3 percent in the Iowa, New Hampshire results or the South Carolina or national polls. To be included, polls must be conducted and released to the public before 12 p.m. ET on Feb. 12, 2016. www.cbsnews.com/news/criteria-for-cbs-news-republican-debate/

I am not even sure HE believes what he is saying. Cruz, on the other hand, I have seen first hand in the Texas legislature. The man is scary... I overheard something about how Bush spent the most dollars per vote in NH and Trump spent the least - something like 93 bucks vs 18 but don't quote me on that.
I think Trump is just trying to demonstrate what an amazing marketer he is. He senses what the public wants, gives it to them, and does it on the cheap because he gets free advertising because he keeps his face front and center of every news cycle by being as outrageous as he possibly can be. I can hear him now, bragging to his rich buddies five years from now about how he had all those blue collar smucks eating out of his hand for pennies on the dollar.
It's all about ego with him - and there is no substance underneath that. He was talking on Morning Joe this AM about how he was going to get rid of Obamacare and replace it with something "That will be so nice. Everyone will love it, it will be so nice." Of course, there is no hint of what this new type of healthcare system will be, other than that it will be nice - and, I'm sure, won't cost us a thing and will pay for everything our hearts might desire.
Should the unthinkable happen and he got elected (and it won't - there are two many of us who see past his charade and would vote for a stale cupcake before we voted for him) the first 100 days would be so crushing for all his true blue supporters as they realize he has no plan and can't singlehandledly get anything done even if he did - we don't have kings in this country.
