DS2 and DH dismantled DS1's bed base from the upstairs guest room and took it to the basement near the rest of DS1's Stuff. Very happy that's done! The new base arrives on Tuesday. We'll replace the mattress later, after DS1 takes it.

The hardest part is getting started haapai . So well done! We have clothing/shoe/electronic recycling bins where you don't have to worry about the "quality" of the items you get rid of. Sharon I'm sorry you're dealing with this! I hope it gets sorted quickly. Glad you're safe startsmart ! I had the mole removed yesterday and then took a nap. Today I'm catching up on laundry. DS2+GF are coming over later, and next week will be crazy at work.

Kill me now... I agreed to do a class at Job 1 next fall. It's 2h/week, but no written marking. I want to keep my staff/faculty students, so it's better for me to be at school one day/week. Last fall I did 3h/week at Job 1, and 3h/week Job 2, both classes with marking. So this is easier. My goal has always been to cut down each semester. I've already told both jobs that I WON'T do next spring semester. And I mean it.

NastyWoman I had a similar issue with my wedding album with my ex. Imagine my surprise when my two older boys both wanted it! I'd leave it for your sons. If they get rid of it one day, so be it. You can get rid of other Stuff instead, and leave that to them. Welcome back moneysquirrel ! So happy you had a great trip!

I have never heard of the trade-in here.
IMO those seats would be fine for occasional use (for US ... I don't mean selling them.)
We're keeping them for now ... we'll see if/when the next grandkids appear and revisit the question then.

countrygirl2 personally I would NOT try to sell an old car seat, but I would give it away to somebody who could use it. The norms are updated all the time, and the foam is only OK for a certain period of time, then it expires. I'm so happy you are finally decluttering!!! You've talked about it for MANY YEARS! I remember you've decluttered a bit here and there. But then you always bought A LOT MORE Stuff LOL. To be honest, if you have mice in your fabric, and you haven't realized it until now, you probably have too much Stuff. There's no point in keeping Stuff if you don't use it or if it gets infested. It sounds like you are finally committed now. That's great! Best of luck to you!

wvugurl26 that sounds like great progress! Have fun with your guests! The new bed we ordered to replace DS1's which he's taking to their new house was supposed to arrive on Fri or Sat. In the end it's arriving on Tues. I'm a bit worried about taking DS1's bed downstairs to make room for the new bed. Happily DS3 arrives in mid May for 5 days. He can help his Dad with that.

I hope so too Rukh O'Rorke ! Can you find a cleaner for once/month for when finances improve? It sounds like your hands are VERY full ... Hoping all goes well with your mother.

Interesting thread!
I take Calcium and D3 in one tablet. I take 2 per day (one dose). I also take liquid D3 supplements once/month in winter.

We went to the garden center to get red geraniums for the outdoor pots. We also got a climbing rose to replace one that had died. It's cold out, so we probably won't plant them today. I'm WFH Mon and Tues, and at school Thurs. We'll plant them Wed if it's warmer. ETA: DH braved the cold and planted the geraniums.

The bed guy cancelled us at the last minute, and didn't tell us when he'd be available. We were hesitating between two wooden beds. I found the other one (brand new) on sale for 138 euros (he wanted 125), so I ordered it. I like buying gently used hard furnishings, but he was strangely incommunicative, and this way it'll be delivered.

DS3 wanted bedding. The pattern he liked was sold out. It just came back in stock, so I got it for his birthday next month, 30% off. I mentioned DS1 is moving his bed from here to his new house. We found a wooden bed base we like. We found a "second hand" one, in the box, 35% off. We'll see it/pick it up tomorrow. If it works out, we'll put DS1's base in the basement with the other Stuff he's moving. We'll need a new mattress too, but I'll buy that new. We still have time.

Please DON'T quote!DH lost his wallet today, with ALL his CCs and ID except for his passport. He got a new motorcycle jacket a month or so ago, but he hasn't worn it until today. Apparently some of the slits are air vents, not pockets. He thinks he put his wallet into one of those slits thinking it was a pocket, and it fell out. He did the same thing a few years ago with his phone, when he first wore another new jacket. DH cancelled all his cards, but didn't think to request new ones. We don't know if they issue new cards automatically or if he needs to call back. He also needs to file a police report. What a mess!!! I feel so badly for him, he's SO upset. I gave him my HH card (mine should still work) and the 30 euros HH cash I had. I'm at Job 2 all day tomorrow, otherwise I would have gone with DH out of solidarity. Never a dull moment!

Those are beautiful finnime . We bought similar ones in blue and white when we redid our bedroom in 2019. They're a bit small, so now I'm looking at bigger ones lol.

You're doing great NastyWoman ! The movers came while I was on Zoom, so DH dealt with them. The 4 items of furniture are in DS2's room (the downstairs bedroom). When I finished the Zoom I asked DH to help me rearrange things so DS2 can access his bed if he comes. In the end I redid DS1/DDIL's bed. I also washed the kids' bedding but will have the cleaner redo their beds when she comes.

I'm so sorry about Moon Shadow Opti . I am SURE he knew he was very loved. Regarding the hay and pads, rabbits use them too, if ever there is a rabbit rescue nearby. When our bunny Shadow died, I posted on our local FB group to offer his hay and food. Somebody came by to pick it up immediately.

In the end I did two loads of our laundry too, so 7 loads today. All caught up now except for DS1/DDIL's bed, and the two grandkids' beds. I may leave those until I know if they're coming back in May or not. FYI the cleaner changes our bedding too. I may ask her to do another double bed, but not more than that. So I do the lion's share when kids/guests stay over. Have a wonderful trip moneysquirrel ! PS No more guests besides our kids until DH's cousins arrive in late July/early Aug.

I forgot ... this morning I also went to the recycling bin, and to the bottle bank. Tomorrow I'm meeting a friend for lunch, WFH in the afternoon, then receptioning the items from my ex's storage unit. And catching up on OUR laundry, we're behind. I am REALLY hoping DS1 can move the Stuff to their new place in May rather than August!!! He's also taking the desk for DD. TheOtherMe it made me think of you and your DN's Stuff! So happy you're getting towards the end of the work now!

It has been a whirlwind since DS3+A arrived on Tuesday night! The "overflow" friends and DS1/DDIL/E/I arrived on Fri morning. DS1/DDIL/E/I left this morning, and DS3+A and friends just left. That's eight extra people!!! There's been a LOT of shopping/cooking/clearing up. It was so nice to spend time with them and their friends. Today DS3 remade his bed and he and I remade DS2's bed. Three loads of towels/bathmats are ongoing. DDIL said I could leave their beds ... they may be back in May to organize movers from here to their new house. So I'll leave DS1/DDIL's bed and the 2 kids' beds for now. DS1+DDIL reorganized their Stuff in one of the basement rooms. There will be a lot more room once it goes!!! Unfortunately, my ex is emptying out a storage unit tomorrow, and some of it is staying here until they move. It arrives tomorrow evening. I'm not thrilled but hey. (The storage unit has my ex's late parents' Stuff that my ex/our kids wanted to keep. DS1 is taking several items, and DD is taking a desk. My late/ex in-laws had wonderful taste and I'm happy my kids will enjoy those items.) We are exhausted! I'm WFH Mon afternoon and Tues, and at school on Thurs.

Holy cow startsmart ! That's amazing! NastyWoman we had the three kids' bedrooms and the landing done "at the same time" a LONG time ago. In reality, they do one or two rooms at a time, not three. So you may have a short break between each or some of the rooms. Those knobs are very pretty snapdragon !
