dancinmama:
My Kohl's newspaper q was $10 off $30 purchase!!! Still put it to good use as DH needed new walking shoes. Got him a pair on sale for $34.99 - $10 q = $24.99. I got the 15% off q this time--darn! We ended up paying @ $22 something which is still pretty good.
Went to RA as well: 1 Viactiv $8.09 1 Bengay Cool Massage $8.09 1 Finesse Clean & Simple conditioner: $3.59 1 Got2B styler: $4.99 1 Excedrin Extra Strength: $1.99 2 Crest : $5.38 2 Stayfree: $5.00 1 Prell Conditioner $3.59 1 Veet $5.39 2 Milky Way .99 (BOGOF) Some of the above prices reflect a 10% discount w/wellness card.
Minus: $3/$15 survey q $3 in ad Viactiv q $2 Viactiv man q $1 Finesse man q $2 Got2B man q $5 Bengay IP q $3 in ad Bengay q $1 VV Bengay q 2/.75 Crest q's $2 Veet man q $2 Veet in ad q $1 Veet VV q .50/2 Milky Way IP q $1 Excedrin Extra Strength IP q $1 Excedrin VV q -$1 Stayfree q -$2.50 BOGOF Stayfree q -$15.47 UPs
Subtotal: .13 + $2.27 tax = $2.40 Rec'd $8.38 UPs and will submit for SCR's of: $4.99 Got2B; $2 Prell; $3 Finesse= $9.99 rebates So, 9.99 + 8.38 =$18.37 - $15.47 UPs used for a profit of $2.90. If I count the $3/$15 survey q, then I technically did not have a profit and paid .10. ;D -

You guys with RA makes me wish we still had them here. The one we had in my city went out of business in the late 80's.

Yes, they have. However, I don't agree with what was said in the article - that because of the coupon change we can no longer get things free at RA. While it certainly is a bummer that we can't use a BOGO mq with a BOGO sale, we still can get plenty of things for free. I, and others can attest to that...this week - free Stayfree, candy, toothpaste, Excedrin & hair mousse. Last week lots of freebies too and more freebies the next 2 weeks. So, it puts a crimp in our style, but we still carry on!

leanna:
Thanks. I copied your scenario style as I like it a lot! You have said you have suffered some head injuries but you couldn't tell from your ability to list things logically! Thanks for posting your deals--that's my fave part of the board. ;D

I had to make a trip to RA tonight. I managed to lose my sun glasses. So I did two transactions. The first was 2 Oral B TB and I paid $5.38 and got $5.38 back in UP's. The second was 2 pairs of sunglasses and a pack of gum. I paid with one $3 of $15 purchase coupon and the two $2.69 up's $18.37 cash. Not near as good as some but to me I got 2 new pairs of sunglasses, that I had to buy anyway, for the $18 plus got two TB's and $5 off my next trip free. As an aside I am now the proud owner of 2 $3/$15 coupons codes from 6/20 and one from tonight. If anyone wants and it is possible PM me and I will PM the code back for you to use. ;D

I got 2 new pair of sunglasses today too, but, I also used TWO $5 VV coupons. I paid with $6.xx in Ups and a little over $1 cash and got $5 Ups back. You can access these monthly coupons on riteaid.com, look for video values section, register, watch short videos and print. There are always good coupons you can stack with manu coupons to get even better deals at Rite Aid! I did not get a code today, and would love your extra if you're sure you won't use it.

Thanks Constance. I don't usually have a printer at my computer but if I wanted something I could try and use the computer that does for the future with RA. ;D

Speaking of RA, I am happy to say that I FINALLY got OUT yesterday. My RA is across town and stock is iffy. With gas prices being what they are and having pretty decent stockpiles, I decided that for now, it is not worth the time, effort, and/or frustration. I am going to take a well-deserved RA break for a while (I hope). I KNOW that when frugalsuz posts a killer deal here and/or on her blog, I will probably jump back in IF the item is something that I really need to add to my stockpiles or a HUGE MM, but until then....I am outta there. ;D

Thanks Murpath and DancinMama!
You have no idea how much I need that after how I am feeling at the moment.
NAG...I had to go to the vision specialist today & it's not that there's anything bad that happened at the visit...actually the progress I've made has held steady so they and I are pleased (after the accident I lost complete depth perception & words & numbers were scrambled...I went through hellishly painful vision therapy & now I have some depth perception back & can read again.)
But, just talking to my Dr about some of the other problems I still have (pain & brain problems) plus the insurance issues has me feeling very down again.
Murpath...it takes me a long time to write out the things I do...I still write words scrambled, but can fix it after I write it all out...so in writing I "sound" quite together...in person at the stores...well...some days go well & other days I don't know where I am (literally - not a joke.) And, I'm not an old person so people sometimes don't know why I am confused.
But, anyway, writing out the scenario's makes me feel good, even though it does take quite a bit of time. I get to re-live my shopping trip which is fun, and sometimes others can use it, which is very cool. I hope that someday I will be back working & then I'll come on here & use someone else's scenario's!

I sincerely hope and pray that the cognitive exercise that it provides helps speed your recovery. I think we all really admire what you have been through and the progress that you have made. Hang in there and know that we are all on the sidelines watching you and cheering you on. GO LEANNA!!

NAG I just have to share what my DD did this morning. She comes to me this morning requesting breakfast like she always does and she's complaining that she's cold. (With the AC on, it is a little chilly in the morning). When we get to the kitchen I notice her lips are blue, and I mean BLUE! Of course, I freak out and am checking/feeling her wrists, arms and such trying to see if she feels cold or looks blue anywhere else. She didn't. So I asked her if she used a marker on her lips this morning. "Maybe, I don't remember", she replies. This means, yes, but I don't want to admit it. *Sigh* That girl is going to give me a heart attack before she makes it to her teen years. LOL....funny!

[quote author=leanna board=wir thread=9121 post=426605 I've got a bodywash scenario for you: In that Wags Beauty Book you picked up, there is a $1 MQ for Softsoap bodywash. The week of 7/10 at Rite Aid, Softsoap bodywash will be on sale for $2.99 w/$2 UP. Combine that with the $1 MQ and it will be free! Now, a little warning - this coupon IS a true manufacturers coupon. HOWEVER, on the one side of it, it does say "Instant value coupon good at Walgreens." So, if you have snippy RA cashiers, it is possible they could try to stop you from using this q. However, it is totally legit to use. I am planning to do this deal. [/quote] I don't think this scenario is legitimate. Even if the Q from the Wags book is an MC, you wouldn't be able to use two MCs at RA. You can use more than one Q when it's an MC, a VV and an in-ad Q, but they won't let you stack 2 MCs.

She said the Softsoap is 2.99 with a 2 Up, and using the $1 Q makes it free, only one coupon mentioned from what I can tell...

Sounds like we've all been to Kohl's this week! LOL! I went yesterday too. I only got the 15% off this time and had no intention of shopping, went to return something, but, they suck me in every time! Of course, I spent $50 and got the $10 Kohls cash to use later. I love Kohls...I always find good deals there! Just an FYI, if you shop online, you can ALWAYS use the 30% discount, when they are out. Just search retailmenot for the code. And Kohls charge holders usually get free shipping, so, make sure you have that code too!

You can use 2 discount codes per order online, so you can use the 30% off and get free shipping on any size order. You can also redeem up to 4 Kohls cash per order. HTH!

You might want to plug that in and see if it gives you free shipping if less than $75

I have 2 local Kohl’s and a 30% coupon this month. Went to one Mon night & found nothing I wanted/needed. Will try to get to the other store by Mon. I ONLY go to Kohl’s when the coupon is 20%/better. I have also learned that if I get …….poor coupons & do NOT go for a couple of months I do get a 30% one.

If your email account is linked to your proboards account it really would be nice if you tell Moon or Virgil so they know too. I think they get a lot of email from posters. Just a thought.

Well, I guess I would if I absolutely HAD to have something, but that rarely happens. I have found the exact same thing as you: I'll get a 30% off, the next one will be 15%, and after that I'll get a couple of 20%s. Then I'll get another 30% off. This week I used my 30% off and a $10/$20 and I bought some CA King 100% Egyptian cotton sheets that were already on sale for 50% off (makes me wonder their TRUE VALUE). I also "earned" $10 in Kohl's cash so I will be going back to get as close to $10 worth of socks or something along those lines for FREE before it expires. Then I'll wait until I get the next 30% off coupon before I'll go back to Kohl's. I usually have something in the back of my mind that we already need or will be needing shortly. My coffee pot has been acting sketchy lately so I bought a new coffee pot that was on sale with the last 30% off. I could have just waited until it actually died, but then I would have been at the mercy of the current sales and chances are that I would have had to pay a lot more than I did. ;D

I usually only shop with the 30% off coupons unless I see something on clearance at a great price. Now that I know the 30% is available online AND the free shipping codes.......I might shop more often.
