I've already decided that when DH kicks the bucket, I'm just going to have boytoys. Now you all know why I've been working on losing weight! At my advanced age of 74, I've seen quite a few women who are older and want boy toys (I'm not one of them). Depending on your age, you may need to have more than being skinny to attract the BTs, you will need a LOT of money. They tend to want to be pampered in order to put up with an old wrinkled woman. Thanks. I'm only 45 and with the way DH is going I'll be about 48 when I become a widow. I do have money but I'm not looking for THAT young of a boytoy! I want some functioning brain cells!  |

Ok, I hadn't been reading here regularly for a while and I can't find the thread where we ask about missing posters. What happened to mid jd? And Lena? I'm sure there are others I haven't realized yet that I haven't seen post, but please fill me in on those 2 if you know anything.
She probably expired while waiting for the crap pile called 93 to finish being under construction. OMG!! On the plus side, they were FINALLY paving the southbound lanes this morning! After 2 months!!! |

Around the time I turned 40, men in their mid to late 20's started hitting on me for some reason. My daughter was seriously appalled, which was very amusing to me. I quickly learned that men that young get on my nerves.
I use to joke with a couple of my female coworkers, saying I was going to be a cougar in my 50's. One of them finally informed me that being a cougar means being willing to spend money. She added, "Do you really think a sexy young thing is gonna hang out with your old ass for free?" Gee, thanks. That was the end of the cougar idea.
I did end up with someone a bit younger than me. But he's old enough that he'll hang out with my old ass for free lol.

I have lost faith in men overall. If/when I end up divorced I am willing to maybe date casually, but seriously, seriously over dudes and their bullshit. My mom once she left the old man, only dated casually. Her and her girlfriends would go out dancing and have a ball. Mom never brought anyone home ever. |

The The problem with men in my age bracket all want a Mommie. the one he had likely passed away, and he wants someone to clean, cook 3 meals a day and let's not forget doing the laundry and getting those skid marks off.
I took care of my DH for the last 2years of his life. if the next guy doesn't have all his teeth,, a condo for the winter someplace warm, doesn't want sex or a Mommie, he might qualify......if however he has a Gulfstream he chances improve immensely.

Well, dh did the "white sock walk" to check for fleas. Nothing on dh's socks. I'm going to try the "water in front of nightlight" to check for fleas overnight.
I told dh I'm calling an exterminator tomorrow for advice on the flea situation. Sadly, burning the house down isn't a realistic option but a girl can dream.
I've applied wart remover to C's hands. I've traumatized both kids by cleaning their ears. It was gross.
I've fixed the flusher on the small bathroom toilet. K and I baked the cookies for her class bake sale and I bagged them up. I'm going to flip laundry loads around and have another beer.

I know that I'm way too self centered and centered on the girls to ever want to be married. I prefer to date casually instead. Why not? I'm single. Plus, now the kids are grown and I can do whatever I want. It's a good point in life to be in. |

Life sometimes sucks. I found out last week that my former best friend has ovarian cancer. She’s 39, turns 40 in February. She finds out this week on the stage and the treatment plan.
Today I woke up to blood when I went to bathroom. If I wasn’t 5w3d pregnant, I wouldn’t be concerned. Since I am pregnant, I know I miscarrying again. Make that miscarriage #4 for me.
At least I have a great DH and a great DD.

I dated two men after my divorce, one for about 5 months and the other one for about a year.
I'm done. I have NO trouble doing what I want when I want to, spending my money as I see fit, and living my life according to MY plan.
I think once you've been on your own for a while, it's very difficult to consider bringing another dude into your life.

Taz, I'm so so sorry. Secondary infertility is so hard. When we were going through it, I would have to practice the sentence "I have a beautiful DD, I am so lucky." Because I could not for the life of me say that without breaking down and sobbing, and it made people really concerned.

I have a doctor’s appointment later today for an ultrasound then speak to the doctor. I’ve alreay passed 1 clot so I’m not holding out hope as twins don’t run in my family.
DD asked me what was wrong and I couldn’t tell her that I was miscarrying as she doesn’t know that I’m pregnant. I just told her that I’m okay but just sad. But I’m okay and I have great daughter, and gave her a giant hug.
I seem to have no problem getting pregnant. Staying pregnant is another story. 🙄😩
