We would love to get by with umbrella strollers but they are not made for tall people. We finally gave up on ours because it was so uncomfortable to push hunched over. Really I just want to be able to take them on a walk on our local bike bath or walk to the park without needing a second person to come with me. I don't think we'd ever use a double stroller in a store or anything.

I did that this year but honestly it's too hot sometimes to wear a sweaty baby. Next summer the little one will be 18 months and I doubt I'll still be baby wearing at that point which is why I'm thinking about the double stroller.

I had a double jogger. I bought it from a friend. I loved it.

So everything was going fine, and then Friday night I was hit with the same dizziness that started the whole original "anxiety attack" thing. I got my eldest to bed and meditated. Effective as hell- No shaking, chest pressure, difficulty breathing, elevated pulse and BP...
But still dizziness. For 3 hours.
There might be something going on other than anxiety, and that has me anxious (heh.).
I was also wrung out the next day. Slept for most of it. Slowly started being up and about more on Sunday. Finally almost back to normal (with frequent breaks) today. This is a lot like last time, though PCP attributed it to anxiety.
I reached out to my PCP about this, of course. Hope to hear back from her in a day or so since the long weekend is over.
The meditation thing has been really valuable, though. As incredibly unpleasant an experience this was, it was better than this + think I'm about to die heart racing OMG. (I'm sure I had a panic attack the first time. I'm just now unsure that was all that happened.)

The dizziness might be vertigo especially if it comes on suddenly. It happened to me on our road trip in 2015, and it was so bad, DH turned off the highway to purchase Dramamine which did help when we climbed the hills. The first two weeks, the dizziness only happened while I was sitting in the car, but it progressed to full time. Two months later, the dizziness resolved.

I can't remember now if it was before the migraines resolved or after. (I don't remember a lot from last year because of stress of B's illness.) But i would get dizzy for a few hours to a whole day, then be fine. For a while I was dizzy for several hours every day starting around 10 in the morning. I tested my blood sugar, varied my breakfasts, slept more, got my ears checked. Nothing helped. It resolved itself after a couple months. I've heard long-term vertigo is sometimes a side effect of a virus. I hope yourPCP can help.

Anyone have a favorite supply cup that has a lid/cap to cover the spout? Now that M is one, daycare wants me to send her breastmilk in a sippy cup instead of a bottle. She can drink out of a straw cup, but that's not my first choice since I think that will tend to waste more milk than a sippy that you tip back to drink.

Would a cup with a weighted straw help the milk waste problem? We don't have any sippy cups with lids or caps, but the closest I've found to leak proof is Tommee Tippee sippys that I got at Target.

They have solid lids and caps for the spouts too.

On the subject of take n' toss cups. I must confess my absolute idiot mom moment. I've been prying the lids off the straw cups for three months. Even took off the skin on my knuckles trying to get one off. Was looking closer at one yesterday because it was leaking, yeah, the lids are twist on/off. I told DH and he was shocked, said he was the bigger idiot because he never even questioned my methods and just hulked them apart.

I have some take n toss cups that must be at least 5 years old. The lids are snap on but we rarely use them.
I've wondered if I should toss them but they're slowly vanishing. I think the kids took them outside with a 2 quarts pitcher of kool-aid at the start of summer and they didn't all make it back inside. Which is why I still have them - I don't care about them.

We have the Take N Toss cups, we don't use the lids anymore. The cups are just easy to us and located where I can reach them without our help.

Abby cracked me up yesterday. She's been following my dad downstairs while he works on the HVAC. He came back upstairs and we were talking when here comes Abby with her little hard hat on and a flashlight. She starts flicking it on/off and going "hmmmm". Guess that is a testament to my dad's restraint around the grandkids because usually he sounds like the dad in A Christmas Story.

When I would stack cans in the kitchen adn they'd fall I'd take a can, throw it and say "God damn it!". Took my mom forever to figure out where I picked that up until she saw my dad throw his socket wrench and yell the same thing while working on the cars. She also hates driving with me because I sound exactly like him.

She HATED having to drive with either of us because we are both rather "impatient", for lack of a better word, behind the wheel. Of course, we both also learned to drive in MASS and are full-fledged Massholes. At least I am when it comes to driving. I'm the weirdo who will fix her parking to make sure she is actually between her own 2 lines, not everyone else's 2 lines.

No nausea or head spinning or anything? DH has vertigo thanks to his MS and right now he is going through a full-fledge onset of it. It's a giant PITA because he can't walk as it is and then add a spinning head and oh God. The meclazine didn't do squat last week but the valium seemed to have helped. I should have asked for one for me. They can do physical therapy for it, apparently. DH has his first appt. next week.

The aftermath (next couple of days) is the more traditional "sit your ass down" kind of dizziness/nausea. Will be checking in next week (no appt slots this week!) with PCP and will see how it goes from there.

I have the 50 year-old adolescent who has to have the appt. made for him because he hates going to the doctor. Hates the ER even more now so he's going. Just be careful with yourself and try not to move your head too fast. Have them look at whether it could be crystas in your ears. That causes problems as well.

She'll be three next Saturday. I know what people are going to say. Don't think I don't already feel like a failure. I don't judge other people's parenting unless whatever it is is on display for the world to see, and it's bad. DS wasn't fully trained until like 3.5 pushing 4. My mom was the only one stressing me about it, and she didn't even potty train ME - a baby sitter did! Abby will get there - you can't force it, so don't feel like you are 100% responsible. As long as she isn't wearing a diaper to 1st- 2nd grade, you're good.

You can't in K unless you're special needs. The school will call you and make you come and get your child.

Ugh, my poor brother. His fiancee broke it off last December, but has been stringing him along ever since. She has a daughter who he helped raise, and I think that keeps him coming back. He's finally to a point where he almost thinks he'll eventually be okay, if that makes sense. He moved to Nashville in April. He travels quite a bit for work, and I think someone has been keeping track of his comings and goings because his apartment complex called this week to tell him someone had broken into his place and taken all of his stuff. He has renters insurance, but I'd be worried about it happening again. If you travel a lot, how do you prevent that?

I'm told I followed my dad around and started swearing like a trucker. Dad had to learn to stop swearing so his toddler didn't swear just like dad. When we were older, dad would say "God damn it" whenever he was unhappy with something, enough that the grandsons say they are going to say it at his funeral.
