I'm waiting for that one. If they can pull that off after CLEARLY saying he was here not on business, but to see his daughter.... they should ALL be locked up. He probably WAS here for some freaking underhanded, sneaky, Bilderberg type crap. It will be amazing, though, if they hold him. Even with his power it should be no less than ankle bracelet in house lock down if they do let him out on bail. But, seriously, all he has to do is run, right, and it is basically over as far as prosecuting him. Strange situation... man, bet he knows where ALL the bodies are buried.......so to speak..

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the head of the International Monetary Fund arrested in New York on sexual assault charges, doesn't have immunity from prosecution under special IMF protections reserved for the position, the fund said Tuesday. "The [managing director's] immunities are limited and are not applicable to this case," said spokesman William Murray in a statement.
In some circumstances, the fund's chief executive can claim immunity from prosecution when on IMF business. The IMF has repeatedly said that Strauss-Kahn was in New York on private, personal business, and not on assignment from the fund. The IMF board met Monday to hear about Strauss-Kahn's legal situation, but in a statement, Murray said it was purely informational and that executive directors didn't discuss any actions on the managing director's future employment. Rather several officials close to the matter say they are waiting for more information on the case before deciding how to proceed. The prosecution is preparing a case to take before a grand jury, which will determine whether they think there's enough evidence to take the case before a jury. The announcement about immunity from the IMF could be read as the part of the fund incrementally distancing itself from Strauss-Kahn. -By Ian Talley, Dow Jones Newswires, 202-862-9285; ian.talley@dowjones.com www.nasdaq.com/aspx/stock-market-news-story.aspx?storyid=201105171258dowjonesdjonline000312&title=imfimmunity-not-applicableto-strauss-kahn-case

Throwing him under the bus. That could be read several ways, but I still go with the woman telling the truth.

www.nypost.com/p/news/local/imf_accuser_in_apt_for_hiv_vics_oZmUkbtouJ14RHw1434HvJIMF accuser in apt. for HIV vics Pad under name of AIDS group By JENNIFER BAIN and BOB FREDERICKS Last Updated: 9:38 AM, May 18, 2011 Posted: 3:13 AM, May 18, 2011 Dominique Strauss-Kahn may have more to worry about than a possible prison sentence. The IMF chief's alleged sex-assault victim lives in a Bronx apartment rented exclusively for adults with HIV or AIDS, The Post has learned. The hotel maid, a West African immigrant, has occupied the fourth-floor High Bridge pad with her 15-year-old daughter since January -- and before that, lived in another Bronx apartment set aside by Harlem Community AIDS United strictly for adults with the virus and their families. The Post has not been able to ascertain whether the maid, 32, has HIV/AIDS because of medical confidentiality laws. But the agency rents apartments only for adults with the disease. A Harlem United worker said at least one adult in the household has to be HIV-positive or have AIDS to qualify for one of their units. A healthy adult with a child with HIV or AIDS is not eligible. "The [current] apartment isn't rented under her name. Harlem [Community AIDS] United places their tenants in our building," explained an employee of the apartment building's property manager, Chaim Gross, of Brooklyn. The maid had previously lived in another High Bridge apartment rented by Harlem United, a source said. She had moved there with her child in 2008. According to the agency, it is not uncommon for people with HIV/AIDS to move around. Her lawyer, Jeffrey Shapiro, and a close family friend said the chambermaid is a widow who lives alone with her daughter. Public records list her as the only adult in the current apartment and the only adult having lived in her previous apartment. Neighbors also say it was just her and the child in both places. The Harlem United workers who talked to The Post were not specifically addressing the maid's living situation, only their agency's housing policies. Officials at Harlem United declined to comment because of confidentiality. The woman has accused France's leading presidential contender of forcing her to perform oral sex on him twice and then trying to rape her as she tried to clean his Sofitel hotel room in Times Square on Saturday. She told cops that after he sodomized her, she spit out his semen on the floor, a law-enforcement source said. Investigators are running DNA tests on the sample. According to the federal Centers for Disease Control: "It is possible for either partner to become infected with HIV through performing or receiving oral sex." Strauss-Kahn's lawyers declined comment last night MORE... Well, well, well... this man's lecherous ways may have just caught up with him.

Throwing him under the bus. That could be read several ways, but I still go with the woman telling the truth. I don't. She's already been caught in a lie about the reporting of it happening. I think this could be a scam considering she called her brother first and talked to him about a rich dude in the hotel she was going to be cleaning up after. Women do lie you know, and for those that think men are the only cheaters in the world, well, you have to have just as many female cheaters to be cheating with if they are cheating.

Article does not say how long the woman has been here, but there has been some rumbling over the years about bringing in people from Africa with AIDS. Wonder if she came with it or got it here. I'm sure the truth will come out. From what I have read his chances of getting HIV from a BJ, or 2, are pretty slim, but he DID make her bleed, may have come in contact with her blood in a dangerous way..well, that's what he gets if he gets HIV.

This is a pretty much she said, he said kind of case. He with the money will ultimately have the last word of course. she may be an opportunist for all we know and made out with him and then filed a claim to cash in knowing that he's loaded with money. Pay up to shut her up. If there are witnesses, video on what happened, then that would be a different story, but I like to hear both sides before condemning one or the other on what may have or haven't happened in cases such as this. Wow, victimize the victim, that's rich! How about he was just an asshole who thought that because of who he was that he could just disrespect women in that fashion? Yeah, he could have bought some, or even arranged to have it delivered, but where is the fun in that? Most sexual assaults are about exerting control. There is no control with a hooker. She's there for the money ... fair exchange, no robbery. I guess just because she cleans the room that she asked for it. And some wonder why rapes go underreported.

still bad, but the room night price was $500, and he was upgraded to the room he was in, as is normal in hotels.
you can't get aids from normal oral sex, unless a million things happen at the same time, in the order needed, and still the chance is very remote at best.
paul- is right, the imf is funded with the usa funding almost 18% of the organization. more than the next 5 countries combined, so like nato, when you talk imf, in essence, you are talking the usa.
the guy's history leads me to believe he is the one that has the highest chance of fault, and most likely a sexual predator.

A good read is John Deans book who served under Nixon on this subject about how political power affects those in power and stimulates their sex drive. It explains it pretty well from a personal standpoint.

That dude is getting on in age.. Viagra?? A European woman he attacked said he came at her like a monkey or something. Yep Viagra. I have a theory to throw out there. There happened to be at the hotel a political operative working for one of Srauss-Kahn's political rivals. He knew about the attack and texted about it before the police released information. I'll bet Strauss-Kahn is known for ordering a black companion when staying at hotels. This operative was ready, he intercepted the prostitute and scared her off, then he tapped a black maid and told her she was needed in room such and such. Explains Strauss-Kahn's shocked expression.

Yeah, I considered the rape fantasy scenario. Could be. That would be very tricky for him to get out of, and explain the suicide watch....

Look- I agree that he is innocent until proven guilty. I can see his political enemies have motives to mess with him. Although, I would make this point to the "personal life doesn't matter" crowd: You cannot corrupt a person that cannot be corrupted. Character counts.
However, I take exception to the idea he's been mistreated somehow, or that denial of bail to a flight risk is somehow unusual. I always hear how it's unfair that money influences the justice system, and how it's different for a man of priviledge than it is for some poor guy from the hood. Now people are upset because his status, his money, and influence is NOT buying him special treatment? I don't get it.

The problem with innocent until proven guilty is that it tends to make the victims guilty until proven innocent.
Not that I want that part of our criminal justice system to change - just an ugly little side affect for true victims.

He is a HUGE flight risk. No average person with this exact scenario would be released on bail. He's right where he belongs. He can use his money and power to push for a speedy trial if he likes.

i hate the fact that he is even in the news. and the reason he is........is only because he is in charge of another usa gov't, give away program.
do you all understand that when the imf is going to fund greece to the tune of 80 billion euro, it means that you and i, are giving them 20 billion us dollars.
we don't even have 20 billion us dollars, let along give it to some country that has even less 'self control' than we do.

So was Polanski, and a lot of people accused of murder that were granted bail. This is an accusation made against him. No crime has been proved yet, so he should have been granted bail like people that are accused of rape and child molesting and murder. Put a tracking device on him, an assigned guard, put his name and pic at the airport for those that are not allowed to fly. The people handling this case are making a bigger deal out of it because he's a high-profile man with lots of money. Any woman can tear her own clothes and cry rape. The Lacrosse girl did, and later we learned she lied about the whole thing after ruining these young mens names.

These sinister kings of the world remain too much in the shadows and they wreak their destruction and death.

I really don't see this HIV infected woman trying to raise a teen daughter with hard work getting involved in some "scheme." Nope. LOOK what is happening to her!! Now the entire world knows this woman's very private medical issue. I refuse to believe a woman, a working mother, would volunteer for that. Especially if she is here on a work visa that could be revoked at any time and send her and her child back to a bad place.

america needs to get out of the 'in every body's business' business. we waste more money with the imf, nato, overseas military bases, etc.
why can't we mind our own business, and let private organizations help those that they want to help. our responsibility is to ourselves and to be ready to kick the ass of anyone that thinks of messing with the usa.

If it turns out this lady is lying, I hope she suffers.
If it turns out she is lying, AND his fluids are found in her, then I will have no sympathy for this man.
Why do men with jobs, money, and family to lose continue to deposit their fluids into women that they don't know, putting their future into the hands of a woman that they don't know?

OH yeah, a poor black immigrant maid with a teenage daughter living in HIV-Aids housing working at fancy hotel for three years with no problems rip her clothes and calls her brother in hysterics for the hell of it, just felt like lying about a nice old white man all of a sudden.
