That is literally what all these prejudices are about. I shouldn't have to be exposed to things I do not like or agree with. Everybody should be like me.

Yes. And you probably can believe how many people at least act like the disability of others is a burden on them. My oldest sister is wheelchair bound and it is easy to see why8. However, many times when I went shopping with her where we needed help from a sales associate they talked to me even after being told DSis1 was the one buying. At times the only way I could put a stop to it was by saying "well if you want to make a sale talk to her, I am not buying" and turning my back on them. Really how dare DSis1 and I put the burden of talking to handicapped person on them.

I would have walked out many a time but Sis lives in a small town and might have faced backlash for it so I didn't - I also never, ever wanted to live in that place but I did for a while because I was a minor and that is where our parents moved our family to but ultimately that is irrelevant. 

*this happens to Dsis whose problem can't even by any stretch of the (vile and false) imagination be seen as a "life style choice" or an abomintion against God. LBGTQ+ people are largely accepted in Dutch society fortunately but I am quite sure that there is plenty of discrimination still

Yes, it is amazing how those individuals are invisible to others, even in the medicine. Having to navigate the world in this way. People like scgal just make it more difficult
