That was a personal attack and not something a moderator can really fact check like "States are allowing post-birth abortions".  Thankfully, Kamala can take those kind of petty insults without going off the rails.

Compare that to the thin skinned Trump. Within 15 minutes of the debate starting Harris baited him about his rallies and instead of blowing it off he took the bait and ran with it. Over and over she goaded him and he repeatedly got unhinged- proof he’s not capable of dealing with other world leaders who might also goad him.

He said they were eating the pets. He didn’t say ‘maybe.’ Or even ‘everyone says.’ He said it was happening. When the moderator said ABC had talked to the city manager in Springfield and there were no credible reports of that happening- but Trump kept insisting he was right, saying he saw it on TV, and finally, when the moderator wouldn’t back down, Trump grumbled’we’ll just see.’

And somehow you think Trump didn’t say it actually happened?

I guess this explains why you support Trump. You don’t really listen to him.

A potential president should not be sharing wild, unconfirmed reports, especially during a presidential debate on important topics, with tens of thousands watching. If I'm to assume he is a serious candidate, and am evaluating his performance by watching the debate, I am going to assume anything he says should be valid.

A presidential candidate IMO should not be throwing out today's crazy internet memes as part of his answers. It makes me question his judgement, his intelligence, his grasp on reality.

sure they should that is the perfect time. Throw as much stuff out there as possible. If there is just 1 person who reported that their pet is missing and claimed an illegal eating pets even if found untrue he should say hey there are reports of illegals eating pets. Dems do this all the time.

Trump is aiming to be wrong as MTG. Pregnant women can be in car accidents or attacked at any time during their pregnancy. Crazy men don't say 'hey wait', are you more than 7 months along and then abort their attack. You have to have no understanding of how pregnancy can go wrong, how men attack women simply because they don't want the kid or are married to someone else to think medical abortions are elective that late in the game. I wasn't quite sure why trump latched on to the "eating pets" thing. I'm guessing his handlers thought it was important and prepped him with that information before the debate. I doubt trump pulled that part of his speech out of his ass as an ad lib.    It seemed like a very odd thing for trump to highlight to 60million viewers. 

Rebecca Watson talks about where the "immigrants eating pets" started.  And on the immigrants are killing our children theme:  She also shows the full speech by Aiden Clark's parents if you haven't heard/seen it.  For the conservatives on the board - if nothing else listen to Mr. Clark's speech it's short and heart felt.

scgal, have you wondered WHY trump brought up that people were eating pets? Why did trump think it was important to say it? What did he want to accomplish by saying it AND then defending that saying it wasn't wrong (as in he said well it could be true I heard it on TV.)? trump is suppose to be a super smart 'businessman' which implies he's got super tactical/strategic skills. What did repeating an internet meme about immigrants accomplish for him? Did you KNOW he was referencing an internet meme about immigrant Haitians eating people's pets in Springfield Ohio before you heard the words out of trump's mouth during the debate?

What did you as a conservative trump voter take away from this part of his reply in the debate?

(if it was about the Border and immigration in America - why didn't he talk about how he would accomplish deporting millions of immigrants and the expenses invovled?  Where would the money to do this come from?   Why didn't he address why when during Biden's term he actively asked the Republicans  to NOT approve Biden's immigration legistlation even though it was literally what they wanted? )

for the record. I am horribly biased. trump's dig at Haitian immigrants hit a little too close to home for me. I have an immigrant Haitian nephew-in-law and a grand niece and grand nephew. My Niece loves her hubby and children. I love my niece (and her hubby and children).  I can only imagine the bullying and side eye they are all getting now - even more so than in the past for being a biracial couple with children. 


At this point - trump and the rest of the Republican party can all just drop dead and burn in a more horrible hell than Christians can imagine for all I care.
