Did we all take the wrong colored pill? Enter through the blue door? In what universe is it "unfair" to correct someone who says that immigrants are eating people's pets and doctors are performing post birth abortions? It shouldn't have even been said to begin with! Let alone been said on the national state by someone trying to become president.

The most heinous of things can be excused if you pretend to be conservative or hate people they hate. They have a really high bar for the rest of us.

If he doesn't like something it is unfair. Being held accountable for what you say or do-unfair. Lose money in a business deal-unfair. He wins-fair. Trump is allowed to say and do things that would be disqualifying for any other candidates. Conservatives are all over the place railing about Biden's cognitive decline. Imagine what the would have said if he said what Trump did about immigrants. Trump says it- crickets from our resident conservatives. How is his behavior at the debate not disqualifying. Trump is the perfect example of rich, white, male privilege.

But if Kamala "cackled" as one poster here likes to put it, that would have made her extremely unprofessional and shown to the world how stupid she is. God forbid if she had cackled AND worn tan with a sleeveless shirt. She would have caused the apocalypse.

So this is fun. Laura Loomer, the MAGA loon who helped Trump prepare for the debate (and who never met a conspiracy theory she doesn’t believe (including 9-11 being an inside job) posted racist comments about Harris. Of all people, MTG replied back, calling Loomer racists and saying MAGA was better than that. (Really?) Loomer replied back in a tirade. dailyboulder.com/maga-unravels-marjorie-taylor-greene-calls-laura-loomer-a-racist-loomer-fires-back-with-a-torrent-of-explosive-revelations/The most polite thing she called MTG was a trailer trash harpy (strange, since MTG comes from an upper middle class family, butI guess if you’re from Georgia you’re trailer trash). Trump seems to like to surround himself with angry conspiracy theory nut jobs. I wonder how the debate would have gone if he had instead surrounded himself with actual conservative policy wonks, since he seems to be a sponge that just repeats back the last thing anyone told him. I just clicked your link and laughed out loud. Those two lunatics can just keep tearing each other down, I'm good with that. Although I do have some questions about the "Arbys in MTG's pants".

I think she’s suggesting MTG is fat - which is not true. MTG does cross fit and is very muscular. If she got Loomer in a head lock she could snap her head off. Maybe if they keep at this she’ll demonstrate.

Harris won the debate but people are still not sure on her economics. Trump sounded off and rambling ...... and he was interrupted more by the presenter. Harris may have gained a couple of points in the polls but there is still a lot to do. or thats what its looking like from over here. the "they are eating your pet cats and dogs" was a bit of a surprise. I think they were even. If you want Kamala to win then she did well, if you want Trump win then he did well. I think Kamala did well better than I thought I also thought Trump did well better than I thought. has nothing to do with what i want. he objectively did not do well. the eating dogs comment was a particularly low point. i thought his first debate performance was much better. in fact, i was quite worried he would do as well against Kamala. he didn't.

It would have been a better debate if Sean Hannity and Rachel Maddow would have been the moderators. Sean would ask Harris questions and Maddow would ask Trump. That would be interesting. We would get straight honest answers on policies which we still don't know from Harris.
What she did say she was just parroting the Biden policy. Nothing really as to her policies.
for the record, i love this idea. Hannity can ask questions of Harris. Maddow, of Trump. two stipulations: the moderators get to keep asking the question if it remains unanswered, even if it uses up the entire 90 minutes, and opponents can call for fact checking (10) times.

Who got the 60? Who got the 40? 60 Harris/Trump 40 this is right in line with several polls.

Need to have an impartial judge doing the fact checking, so they don't use the conservative treehouse or fox news as their reference, or other nonsensical sources.

It doesn't matter what it is, if it doesn't 's way, he's base is convinced it was rigged or unfair. One excuse after another for his poor performance. And I thought Republicans were the party of taking responsibility for your actions. Guess that changed when Trump became their leader. Now it is blame and play the victim. great point. i would think a strong man would take the blame for things that go wrong, since HE is in charge, right? instead, he ALWAYS blames others. ALWAYS. how strong is that?

Both of them were lukewarm compared to how Maddow and Hannity would have been in my opinion. More comeback questions on vague answers. Have you seen the outrage by the far right that the ABC moderators fact checked Trump on his statements about post birth executions and migrants eating pets? Apparently the MAGA crowd don’t want any fact checking or push back from the moderators at all. Just ask the questions. Otherwise you’re being unfair to Trump. perhaps Harris didn't lie. have they considered that?

this is right in line with several polls. Sure but to be fair, 30% would say Trump won if he had a heart attack during his opening statement.

Have you ever seen the episode where Cartman manages to give himself Tourette's Syndrome? I think about that episode anytime Trump talks. Who knows if it is actually age (which I am sure is part of it) or he has invested so heavily in this part he is playing for so long that he's actually managed to rewire his brain to where he's developed dementia in a way he wouldn't have otherwise? I know they said my grandma likely would not have declined as fast if she had been willing to move back here where she had family she could interact with and if we had talked her into finding some hobbies (ha!). Sitting up there alone refusing to interact with anyone did not help her mental faculties one bit.

Trump is an old man with famously poor health habits and diet. The risk factors for vascular dementia are the same as the risk factors for heart disease. He is likely to age quickly and poorly. I think we are already seeing it. This is the start of his downward spiral, IMHO. He is far worse than 8 years ago. He had the same personality, but he was under better control. Loss of impulse control is an early sign of dementia. I suspect the stress he is under from a legal standpoint may have accelerated his decline. But since the presidency is a stressful job, it isn't like a normal person would age slower. But since Trump doesn't care, it may be better for him.

I mean, it's obviously still Trump, but he is not going off on all these nonsense ramblings where you don't know WTF he is trying to say.

Conservatives were all eager to point out Biden's decline, but deny that Trump has changed. He has clearly declined, and it will only get worse. I thought some of it had to do with the stress of his legal issues, but he has continued to decline, even with resolution of some of them. I believe he will be clearly worse than Biden is now in 4 years. But, you know, the cult of Trump refuses to see it.

And in the "holy hell" vein... I just watched a youtube ad of donald trump asking for donations to his campaign... and he looks terrible. His right eye is almost completely closed and the bags under his eyes are huge. He looks haggard and bloated. He spoke with his trademark sardonic voice (please donate $5.00 to me, if you can, and I know you can't because of Biden... blah blah blah).
I will admit I find trump very triggery (I had a crappy childhood) - his ad asking for money felt like he was quietly insulting me the viewer. Maybe the ad isn't really intended to generate a lot of donations - maybe it's just a way to keep trump's message that Biden is the cause of all the current financial/economic woes America is experiencing. I don't know. I've watch Kamala Harris pleas for donation money and while I experienced it as a "sales pitch" - it didn' t trigger the "I'm stupid" along with feelings of undefined shame or guilt for not being worthy/good that most things trump says and does makes me feel.
(I'll be honest - I'm not seeing any hints of economic woes in my area. houses are selling, not much on the foreclosure front, the brand new cars my neighbors are driving (Jeeps, Pilots, highlanders, and super fancy pick up trucks) seem to be more than 'entry level vehicles', the shopping centers parking lots are packed... I'm guessing LOTS of people have LOTS of money to spend. So, I'm not really buying the whole it's a terrible economy right now. )
I wonder if the trumpers just don't see how much he's physically changed in the last few years because they have watched to slow decline in real time. Kind of like how you don't notice the slow decline of someone you live with.
Geez, that barely open/squinty right eye can't be a good sign.
