www.msn.com/en-us/news/politcs/rudy-giuliani-hit-with-148m-verdict-for-defaming-two-georgia-election-workers/ar-AA1lzwkX?ocid=msedgntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=1c0434e858714185ab311b165fcd3de4&ei=12 Rudy Giuliani hit with $148M verdict for defaming two Georgia election workers WASHINGTON — Rudy Giuliani should pay a pair of Georgia election workers he repeatedly and falsely accused of fraud $148 million in damages, a federal jury said Friday. The eight-person jury awarded Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, the sum after a four-day trial, during which they testified that Giuliani’s lies in support of former President Donald Trump’s bogus stolen-election claims subjected them to a torrent of racist and violent threats and turned their lives upside down. Their attorney, Michael Gottlieb, said in his closing argument that Giuliani had “no right to offer up defenseless civil servants up to a virtual mob in order to overturn an election.” He urged the jurors to “send a message” with their verdict. He said the mother and daughter should each get at least $24 million in damages for Giuliani’s defamatory statements, as well as additional money for intentional infliction of emotional distress and punitive damages claims. Feel free to add emoticons or thoughts on this verdict.

I hope the ladies get at least some money out of him. I think he’s fairly broke, and Trump will never pay him what he owes him.

his life of appearing in Borat films is over.
he has always been a scumbag.
it just took 911 fame to have him become one full time, full stop.

too bad we have to wait a month to hear the verdict in the Trump trial.
it will be worse, in all likelihood.
between him and Rudy, it will push half a billion.
can/will Rudy appeal?

“Mr. Giuliani is a good man,” Sibley said, even if “he hasn’t exactly helped himself with some of the things that happened in the past few days.”
um, no he isn't. good men don't do what RG did.
he is a pu$$y grabber, just like the man he serves.

He is heading towards a bankruptcy.

That's the problem with big settlements like this, you know he's going to appeal this until he dies. Likely not. Georgia law may get him on that. If he is forced to post an appeal bond in excess of the judgment amount, he's got no shot. Who would back him for that amount? He can, I believe, challenge the amount but not the verdict absent the bond, but someone can correct me on that.

He’s ruined his legacy, too. Instead of going down in history as Americas Mayor post 911 he’ll be known as one of Trumps worst toadies. Unless of course Trump wins in 2024 and establishes himself as dictator of a new Reich, in which case Guliani will be revered as a Maga hero.

He's doubled done again and again. Filmed with Borat's daughter in a Borat film plus remember the dripping fresh black hair dye?

I think Rudi really thought working for Trump would be a calling card and he could bill more. If you live in the tristate area or read his books, you should have known he always pays his lawyers less than market rate should he pay them at all. But Rudi believed his own press after 9/11 instead of trying to be a better human being.

I think its like living under an abusive terrorist regime. He abuses all of them so much, they don't realize they can escape and breathe. Plus, certain personalities gravitate to being helpers of power-hungry authoritarians. Michael Cohen admitted he was one of the latter.

When Rudy was talking to the press and repeated all the crap about the poll workers, he looked senile. He was looking around and not focusing- he looked like he was just repeating the only thing he could remember.
He isn’t going to get smarter as he ages.
