The Department of Homeland Security confirmed these individuals could pose “a national security risk to the United States or its interests.”
"Under Trump, Americans saw the lowest rate of illegal immigration in over 40 years. Under Biden, we have seen the highest rate of illegal immigration over 60 years.
General Michael Flynn, who has personally witnessed the problem, describes the situation under Biden as a “mass invasion” that is “out of control.”
#1- Rutfel is a student at Dartmouth and leader of a rap duo "Young Cons". he has no credentials as a journalist whatsoever. you could do better by quoting any number of people on this board. even those you agree with. #2- Michael Flynn is a seditionist, imo. if there are 10 people who deserve the gallows for their behavior leading up to Jan 6th, he is one of them. so, you are quoting a neo-fascist without any immigration experience whatsoever, and a college age rapper without news cred? wow. slow news day, i guess? edit: having engaged in ad-hominem, i will now state for the record that i don't think there is a shred of truth to anything that was said, except for the word "could" on the first point. in that case, i would equate "could" with "probably don't".

Nothing to see here folks. Don't worry. Not one of these 900,000 pose a threat to us. All are vetted law abiding illegals. Background checks have been done. They will show up for their court hearing.

Fox yet again. Get your dusty musket out, Rip. Look at it this way, Rip-those 900,000 released with NTA/OR (notice to appear on own recognizance) can replace the 900,000 babies aborted at the time of their natural births of nine months which conspiracy minded conservatives like youself believe is happening. Net population increase equals 0. Win-Win.

I heard this on the radio so I first looked this up on AP news site which seems to be this boards "truthful reliable" news source and nothing there about this. And as to abortion, that's a women''s issue and only women should be able to vote on it.

Individually, whenever they are faced with that choice. Bad laws should not be in their way.

I must warn you though: your retired school teacher friend and others in your circle are against abortion of any kind and would sprinkle you with Holy Water to drive out the devil in you and chant over and over, "The Power of Christ compels you!" if they knew your position on abortion.

No, second at least. He also agreed that every person who attacked the Capitol on January 6 should have been shot, and that all those engaging in mob violence are in effect terrorists.

I find the idea disturbing. Women have no more right to control a woman's decision than men.

I personally believe the on!y ones who should have a say in a woman wanting an abortion is the woman and her doctor. But considering Rip's reply on the matter, at least he is leaving to door open for women to decide for themselves. Better than hauling a now non-pregnant woman into court because she dared to travel to another state for an abortion.

How about "the only one with a say is the woman in consultation with whomever she trusts (which hopefully includes at least one medical professional)."

Her choice. If she wants to involve a partner, a doctor, or other family member, fine. Nobody else has decision or veto power though. They are advisory only, not decision-makers.

Nobody's business but the pregnant woman.

The problem is not that people consider you a jerk. It is rather that you seemingly buy into and post so many false or twisted right-wing narratives that people think you either "not very bright" or trolling. To your credit, you admit to being "comfortably uninformed", but you are so massively uninformed that you really should be anything but comfortable with it.

I find it hard to believe that anybody would not feel that having 900,000 non vetted aliens released into our society is a good idea or not news. With the current revelation that border patrol stopped 160 suspected terrorist caught trying to cross the border. All of this data is available for any news organization to write on it.

And I see Straight Arrow News also has a story on it. They are rated as unbiased and center news.

All of this data is available for any news organization to write on it. you are missing a few key points. the first is that AP is a news house. they generate stories for the news business based on accuracy and importance. news agencies then pick up stories from AP, edit them, and run them in their media. if AP doesn't have a story, it is EITHER because it has no accuracy OR no importance. you claim that this story is important, and i see no reason to argue with you. which can ONLY mean that the story, as you reported it, is not accurate. now, to answer you question- no. i will not get hopping mad about an inaccurate story. it is a crucial difference between myself and you. you get hopping mad about inaccurate stuff all the time. i almost never do. and when i do- when i fall into that trap- i am so embarrassed by it that i retrace my steps to ensure it never happens again.

you know what is funny? we had a poster here (WCPS, PBP) who use to pick on people for getting "emotional" about stories. everything i see on right wing media is emotional these days. there is no calmness, no reason, no thoughtfulness. it is all about the 160 "terrorist" and "Democrat" politicians ruining our freedoms. meanwhile, we have a guy with 94 criminal counts against him intimidating witnesses in public, and they don't seem to give a shit.
i think this all started with 911. something seismic shifted then. and now, almost 25 years later, we are becoming the country the terrorists wanted us to be. yet another war since WW2 that we have lost.
