I am cooking a roast. I put it in the instant cooker part with onions, seasoned sauce, home canned, some hatch peppers, celery, and other seasonings. Going to add carrots and potatoes and cook about 6 more minutes. hope its a good one, it looked well marbled so hope its tender.

I'm too tired to leave the house tonight for takeout, now that I'm home. I didn't use the whole container of mushrooms in the risotto the other night, so I'm going to saute those and make a marsala cream sauce (I'm not opening any chicken stock...) for a package of mushroom ravioli I have in the freezer. that's easy enough. I can pitch what I don't finish, without guilt. this package is two solid meals when I'm also cooking chicken breast to go with it.

Regarding blueberries, I made a batch of muffins to trade a neighbor for some venison. A different friend gifted us zucchini and 2 iceberg heads of lettuce, so those will be prevalent in this week's suppers. I'll freeze some shredded zucchini for use in bread at a later date. Last night: Venison bacon cheeseburgers, half bag fried okra, iceberg side salads. $2 for 4 servings, not including the muffin ingredients cost. Tonight: Chicken tenders, sauteed zucchini. $4/3 servings. Tues: Nachos using leftover Doritos and taco meat, topped with shredded iceberg. $2/2 Wed: Cod, shrimp, leftover glazed carrots from the freezer. $9/2 servings Thurs: More freezer leftovers, zucchini. $0 Fri: Take out from? DH buys Sat: Doctored up Caulipower pizza, zucchini fritters. $6/2 servings Sun: Grill/smoke something w/ veggies. $? This month's grocery/HBA/cleaning cost was $327. Tonight, I decided to make shrimp three ways: Cocktail, sauteed over zoodles (zucchini noodles), and bacon wrapped from the freezer. I gave two zucchini and one iceberg head to my housecleaner.

Monday night I had a chocolate milkshake. I had a new dental hygienist who seemed determined to rip all the gum tissue right out of my mouth.
Tuesday night the in office day drained every ounce of energy out of me. DH took me to dinner and paid.
Wednesday night instant pot risotto. I have half a big pack of mushrooms in the fridge that need used up.

Tonight I pan seared seasoned ahi tuna steaks to medium rare with a side of steamed green beans. It was a good meal for a hot night when we had to turn on the AC

Daisy's sides sound good for tonight. DH will grill steaks when he gets home. I have them out thawing now.
I'll have to buy potatoes.

Hope your mouth feels better, wvugurl26 . Ouch. Tonight's freezer leftovers will be keto taco casserole from December and Budget Bytes Not Refried Beans I made in January. I'll serve those with the sauteed shrimp and zoodles I didn't get to last night. Oh, and last night's reheated glazed carrots from the freezer did not do well. A texture thing for sure.

Last night was a very small pot roast so I have just a bit of meat and broth left. My plan is to thaw some rice that is in the freezer, add extra veggies than add the broth and meat for a meal. I think it will turn out decent.
I have soup thawing in the fridge for lunch and dinner tomorrow, I need to chop some veggies for munching, so I plan on going to the store next week.
Right now I am just muddling along because I don't want to leave the house.

I had leftover beef broth in the freezer that needed to go away and it's in the 70's so I'm making beef vegetable soup. We'll eat it tonight and put away 2 more meals in the freezer. This is really helpful when I have evening meetings

Instead of last Thursday, Saturday I made the sauteed shrimp with zucchini noodles and served that with mini wonton and perogies from the freezer.
Yesterday I made apple fritters, applesauce, and fries from apples and sweet potatoes a neighbor gave us. Fritter and applesauce cost was ? for flour, sugar, almond milk and one egg.
Suppers: -Last night: Bacon wrapped tenderloin and sweet potato fries. The tenderloin was bought on sale in December and has two pieces per package. $10.18 for at least 8 servings. -Tonight: Chicken and veggie stir fry. Due to rising grocery costs, I've been buying thighs instead of breasts. I buy the family pack and divide them into generic brand freezer bags. $7.13/2 servings -Tues: Cod, shrimp, veggies. Same thing as the thighs, the cod I buy in a 2-pound bag, and it lasts several months. Approximately $9.18/2 servings -Wed: Caulipower pizza crust to which I'll add sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. $5.49/2 -Thurs: Oven baked chicken things, veggies. $6.50/2 servings -Fri: Takeout -Sat: Out for a belated birthday/anniversary dinner using a gift certificate. -Sun: Grill/smoke something, veggies. $?

I just walked in from the airport/dinner run 15min ago. dinner tonight was two maki sushi rolls, and I ordered a veggie rice noodles to go - for tomorrow and until I can get out to the grocery store. I do know that I want to make a big pot of minestrone, in the hopes of flushing out whatever made my ankles swell up ridiculously. both are bad, but one is on another plane. friends were actually asking me if I'd rolled it somehow, it's that big. one night was pretty painful, but it has come down some. I probably ate a full watermelon over the long weekend, but it didn't seem to help much.
so, what foods can this group recommend as natural diuretics? I'm picking up a watermelon, and some asparagus. my minestrone has minimal salt if I don't add any while cooking (and I won't for this pot). I already drink all of the water all day. TIA.

I drink a lot of homemade bone broth when I need a good cleanse.
I've heard pineapple is good too.

In addition to the pineapple mentioned, I saw bell peppers, celery, cucumber, grapes and lemon. Of course caffeine is also a diuretic so drink up the coffee.
DH picked up BBQ tonight. Tomorrow will be something at the airport.
Tuesday night was taco salads.
Monday I had the steak kabob meal from Texas Roadhouse. This was the first non soup thing I kept down.
I think the most annoying part about the allergic reaction and getting sick has been that my system is still messed up. I keep having to eat frequently and the headaches are ridiculous. Four days later I'm losing patience.

I wish I liked pineapple, b/c I'd be all over that with the watermelon. I actually left celery out of the soup pot yesterday for the same reason. I'm here for the rest of that list, though. and, I saw asparagus on some other list so I picked up a bunch of that with the basics yesterday. lemon is good, b/c parsley is as well....and I'm planning to make chicken piccata this weekend with some thin sliced chicken breast I bought on sale yesterday. thanks for the answers! I can see a difference in both ankles, the "good" one is almost back to normal, and the other is visibly smaller. I wore socks and some slouchy boots when I went to pick up the pups a few hours ago, and the socks left lines on that ankle. good thing I don't need to go anywhere for awhile. I made the minestrone yesterday, and had it for dinner last night/lunch today. I picked up the pups on Cape tonight, and stopped at the fish market on the way back home. asked for 3/4 lb of haddock and got close to 1lb. pups will be eating well with their unseasoned baked fish the next couple of meals, lol... I'd already planned a treat with the 3/4lb order! anyway, I crusted my "captain's cut" portion in Penzey's Northwoods Seasoning and roasted asparagus and garlic rosemary red potatoes.

I'm sorry, this is awful and I can completely commiserate after my own allergic reactions. I hope it all works itself out soon.

chicken piccata tonight, over linguini, with broiled asparagus. I drained the capers really well, and that's the only measurable salt in this dish tonight. I've got another solid dinner and maybe enough for a chicken sandwich left over.
oh, and I can almost see my ankle bones. woo! the two are almost the same size, so the excess on the one has come way down. I've spent most of the weekend on my couch with my feet up, so that clearly has helped. here's hoping this is almost over.

Tonight is going to be soft tacos. Tomorrow I am having surf and turf at a restaurant for a thank you dinner on cat feeding. Wed is going to be a pork loin roast in the crockpot. I have veggies that will be roasted to accompany it. Then, leftovers for days!

Saturday night's supper out was delicious and included a shrimp and calamari appetizer, lobster bisque, muscle and shrimp bowtie pasta and fresa (not a typo) salad entrees. We both took home leftovers.
Sunday: Snacked on pork rinds and queso, as we had a late lunch/early dinner at a neighbor's. Monday: DH grilled burgers and we ate them on top of portobello mushrooms topped with homemade guacamole and salads on the side. Tonight: Leftover keto taco casserole from the freezer with regular and cauliflower rice. I'll make side salads with the rest of the Romaine, and the remaining sad Roma and avocado. Here's to a grocery pickup this week, LOL. Wed: Appetizers Thurs: Salmon, shrimp and veggies Fri: Low carb pizza casserole, veggies Sat: Something on the road. Sun: Venison, veggies

My system seems to finally be back to normal.
Monday we had a late lunch at Cheesecake Factory. I had a few bites of a turkey sandwich after we got home.
Tuesday night I made copycat KFC bowls. They consisted of mashed potatoes topped with corn, chicken bites and chicken gravy.
I'm kind of proud of myself for pulling that one off with no prep. Not the healthiest dinner ever but better than ordering take out. It was a perfect meal for tonight, it's bitter cold and the wind is howling.

I made instant pot lasagna for Wednesday night. It's still cold and windy.
Thursday is TBD but it needs to be quick as we have a theater show to go to in the evening.
Still need to shop for fresh veggies but I'm getting back into the cooking groove.

Put your legs up on the couch to let the liquid drain. Cold like standing in the freezer section of a grocer. Since most of us don't have access to ice or large cold water baths. Cold packs.
Grapefruit and egg as a meal. 2 times a day and grapefruit, steak and plain green salad for dinner. I used this menu to remove 5 lbs of inflammation from a tennis tournament in heat that I wasn't used to.
Green beans. I had this happen from a flight. Actually had sloshy water in my ankles, feet. I was so exhausted from travel that I didn't do anything for it. I don't remember how long the swelling took to go down.

I have ground beef cooked for more soft tacos and half the meat has been frozen.
The pork loin was really good, and I need to put some in the freezer for later.
Quiche for brunch is going to happen this weekend. yum.

Corned beef with cabbage. I used baby potatoes and baby carrots to cut down on the prep. Turned out nice.

I'm on my own tonight so I'm having leftovers. Baked chicken, rice, yellow squash/zucchini. I'll be running around tomorrow, we'll see what I end up with then.
