Elon musk is going to interview Trump on Monday. Why anyone wants to watch that is a mystery. Two narcissists fawning over each other and themselves. On a business note, Musk, who famously told the Twitter advertisers to go pound sand when he bought the company two years ago, has experienced declining revenues ever since. Musk is now suing an industry group representing numerous global brands, accusing it of conspiring to deprive X of billions of dollars. So they don’t like x and don’t want to advertise on it because a shithead loud mouth owns it - and X can sue him over it? Depends on their contracts with X or with the former Twitter.

I'm relieved we get to keep our governor! I'm attending the rally in Philly today. Can't wait! How was the rally? Inquiring minds want to know! It was incredible! The Borowitz Report
Nation’s Cats Endorse WalzUNITED STATES OF AMERICA (The Borowitz Report)—In an extraordinary show of support from the furry mammals, on Wednesday America’s cats gave a full-throated endorsement to Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota. The felines, who have been unusually active this election cycle, said they were supporting Walz because “this November, cats are on the ballot.” “Unlike some candidates, who have used language that belittles and ridicules us, Gov. Walz makes us feel seen,” the cats’ official statement read. Praising the vice-presidential candidate’s upbeat demeanor, the cats stated, “Tim Walz is like a ray of sunshine we would bask in for hours without moving.” Nation’s Cats Endorse Walz

Well after 240 yrs of being a Republic, we now have 2 socialists, Harris and Walz, running for the top 2 offices in the land. Like a Bernie Sanders 2.0. Our only hope is that the GOP gets control of both houses of Congress to stop the up coming socialist agenda. A Utopian society. A socialist dream. Free housing, free medical, unlimited unchecked immigration, open borders, rampant spending on socialist issues and god only knows what else. A cradle to grave socialist idea. You don't have to work because the govt will take care of you. At least with Trump, we know he's a capitalist. If you don’t think that Democrats are owned by corporations- you aren’t paying attention. Even if Harris was as radical as Bernie AND the Dems held Congress- she wouldn’t be able to enact socialism. Both our parties are beholden to capitalism.

I will say that *affordable* healthcare would be great. Or, ripvanwinkle , would you only want the rich to have healthcare and the rest of us die? No need to answer. We already know your answer is "yes".

Yes having a health care system on par with other developed countries, reducing childhood poverty/hunger and allowing women the right to control their own bodies, allow people to marry who they love and be who they truly are is going to create quite the apocalyptic hellscape. I better get my Mad Max gear ready and hoard gasoline. I can't believe how much Kool aid most Americans have swallowed. Statistically in a lot of categories we SUCK compared to other 1st world nations. That is not something we should boast about. The handful of countries we're above is a pretty low freaking bar to leap over.

Both our parties are beholden to capitalism. My concern with Biden for quite some time was his connections with the financial industry. However, I never explored that in depth and what it actually means. Bush senior was known to have deep ties to banking. Right now CC agreements are being amended because of a recent Consumer Protection law that was passed. Certain corporations will always want the ear of whatever party is in power. Yeah RIP has no idea what socialism really is. The country we would most likely be like IMO would be Germany because of its economy etc. Its healthcare system is more robust, and they might be better on banking as well. IDK

We are a large country, and Russia is in piece parts. Russia always does well in the winter games with skating, etc. Russia funds those athletes. None of this namby pamby corporate sponsorship like we have in the capitalist US.

So they don’t like x and don’t want to advertise on it because a shithead loud mouth owns it - and X can sue him over it? He is claiming it is an illegal group boycott. That is in anti trust law to prevent groups of competitors to put pressure on a supplier or to squeeze out a competitor. In this case he is targeting an industry group that is responsible for the majority of advertising dollars because they advised their members that their ads might appear next to harmful or illegal content. He is also suing a bunch of large advertisers that stopped advertising on his site. However, he would have to prove that they conspired together against him, instead of just independently assessing the risk or being pissed off by the "go f*ck yourself" comment that he made to advertisers. www.ftc.gov/advice-guidance/competition-guidance/guide-antitrust-laws/dealings-competitors/group-boycotts

My husband said it rained a little on the waiting crowd but it was refreshing. The heavy rains didn't begin until people were well on their way home, thankfully. I had just gotten off 76 when the torrential, can't see shit rain began. Phew.

During his introductory speech on Tuesday, vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz threw out a wisecrack about his Republican counterpart, Senator J. This immediately prompted the March of Pecksniffery, much of it from our newly arrived Republican allies, who have not yet realized that “all hands on deck” does not mean “all hands to the bridge.” Many of y’all are needed to scrape the rust and swab the decks. Apparently the problem with Walzs; period product bill was that he required the products to be in all the bathrooms - even boys.
MAGA is afraid if boys see pads or tampex in the bathroom they will suddenly decide they want to transition to be women.
I’m, wondering how we have any men at all left in our country, since my now every male must have passed by a display of these products at the grocery or drug store. How did they not all get magically zapped by the period products and turned into trans women?

Oh for Pete's sake. Having them in all bathrooms makes sense. If one is out the other will probably have it.
And there are conditions besides being trans that might nesscitate a boy needing a pad.
Gwen has told me periods are no big deal in her age group for boys or girls. It's just a fact of life and boys will even get period products for girls caught unaware.
None of the men in my life have ever had a problem with it. I can attest none of become women after touching a tampon box.
I would pay to see a protest where women AND men throw tampons at Vance and Trump.
Time for some tampon cookies!

Sorry if I am incorrect, I tend to forget finer details. Because of security, the default for the Royals and the WH would be calls are recorded. The issue is that was released to the press to make Charles look bad, and it was not an official leak sanctioned by Royals above Charles.

Vance has been following Harris around the country, doing rallies in the same area. Yesterday he approached her plane where it was parked on the tarmac, saying he wanted to ‘inspect’ it.
I guess looking at what he hopes will soon be his plane?
Creepy.

I cannot think of 1 good reason to have tampons and pads in a boys bathroom not one. You mentioned if one is out then the other may have it. Why by that logic if you are out in your bathroom you should have some by your couch. The boys bathroom is for boys not girls.

In an emergency tampons can be stuffed up a nostril to contain the bleeding of a bloody nose. Pads can be put into underwear to stop embarrassing leakage or other issues. Adult or kid sized diapers are generally not in supply in US restrooms. So there's my two possibilities of the top of my head. I am sure there are more .
