A group of guys, including the original’dude’ Jeff bridges, made ‘white dudes for Harris’ on twitter and quickly raised 4 million bucks for the campaign. Elon Musk, supposedly the champion of free speech (wasn’t that why he bought twitter to begin with?) shut the group down. www.newsweek.com/white-dudes-harris-x-suspension-1931827More evidence Musk is a shit head. That and the Roman gladiator outfit he like to prance around in and his habit of randomly impregnating women in order to spread his DNA widely.

People were LIVID. They were exploring why the account was suspended - X said it was for trying to avoid being suspended. Umm, what? Is that like resisting arrest? Made no sense, which made it more obvious it was targeted. By the time I saw it, the account was back up, but the article says it is still suspended, just in read only mode, no new posts allowed.

Elon is a conservative white male from South Africa. He doesn't play fair and has no interest in doing so. Maybe someday X will merge with Truth Social.

He wants it on fox and in a packed arena, not just in front of cameras, with fox moderators who are friendly to him. He’s terrified of her.

If a debate on Fox on September 4th shows Trump can stand up to Harris, what would be the incentive for him to follow through and risk attending another one with less favorable elements on September 10th?

Harris should insist the ABC debate takes place first.

I think Elon wants to kill X and Trump's truth social only does well at times because of marketing/Trump's image.

Twitter had value. but it had something that Musk valued even more. something he despised. it had the power to work against him and his crazy neo-fascist view of the future. no, i am not kidding at all. hope you understand.

I don't see any value at all debating him on FOX. I see countless downsides because it will be like the fake story of Biden "wandering off the tarmac". The FOX Sheeples believe the spin. They crave the spin. Does anyone employed by FOX news have any honor left? The ability to be fair and tell the truth?

she might agree to that. if he attends the debate on the 10th of September. If she does agree, she should stipulate no arena full of people. The audience would more than likely be full of trumpers that would drown her out during her turn to speak. He just wants to be surrounded by his adoring minions and do his usual trumpy stuff, he doesn’t want to actually debate.

Interesting comments by a couple Trump Georgia rally attendees. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/at-trump-rally-in-atlanta-black-attendees-say-kamala-harris-playing-race-card-for-votes/ar-AA1obHLD?ocid=msedgntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=6e4480c63e1d464be6cd375d2141a418&ei=17For John Williams, a 46-year-old DJ from Lithonia, Georgia, it was Trump’s ability to make business deals with foreign countries that attracted him to the former president. As a Black man, he said he didn’t believe Harris, as a Black woman, would be able to handle the same type of international dealings.“Unfortunately, we do live in a world with race,” Williams said. “The United States is not racist like that, but if you want to talk about these other countries, you don’t see our Black people buying land in places like Russia or China.”Floyd Narcisso, a 72-year-old man from Nicaragua, said “liberals were using color to represent them and avoiding the character” of Harris. Narcisso claimed that Harris didn’t have the “intellectual preparation” to run the country. “I have a third-grade education, but I can see when someone is dumb.”That last guy makes me wonder if he is real. There is a comment from a black woman earlier in the article that isn't much better than these examples.

There is a comment from a black woman earlier in the article that isn't much better than these examples. The comment: Andrea Smith, a Black woman who volunteers with the Trump campaign and is running for state representative in Georgia’s District 41 north of Atlanta, asserted that Democrats were leaning into identity politics to win the election.
“The fact that she’s a woman and she’s Black, Democrats will play that race card to get more people to vote for her,” Smith said. Stating a simple truth of American politics.

Trump is also insisting the moderators will not fact check him, which is what he insisted on with his first debate with Biden, and why that debate was such a miserable failure for Biden. He wants softball questions from the Fox moderators, with no fact checking, and a roaring crowd that can drown out Harris if she tries to fact check him. It’s the only way he might do well in the debate. And I say ‘may’ because he would still have an uphill battle trying to control his rambling and word salad against a former prosecutor.

I think playing the woman card gets more votes for Harris than the black card will. I could be wrong. It is interesting to me that Peter Thiel groomed JD Vance to be Trump's VP this round. It makes me wonder if part of the reason he picked Vance was the fact he has an Indian wife. I researched Harris's mom who had a pretty impressive career. She was from the Madras region, and I think her parents were in Chennai at least in later years. The majority of people in Chennai speak Tamil according to Google but some speak Urdu and some other languages I am not familiar with.

I think Biden though having them not interact directly would be a good thing. And it might have been had Biden showed up on his game to deal with a well-rested Trump. I watched less than a minute of it, and what I noticed is trump was actively preening and testing his looks in his monitor. He did not care at all what Biden said. All he cared about was his performance. Biden showed up hoarse and obviously sick with something. That was a critical error Trump would have never made. Because of it, as a Dem the election is now at risk and Biden has to cool his heels. I see no real advantage in Harris debating him on any stage anywhere. The campaign needs to focus group independents and see all the ways they can be reached and influenced that do not include a debate. MO. Most people will not even watch part of the debate if it happens. So how the various media soundbites the debates will be what many will believe including independents.

I was referring to the simple truth that in American politics political parties and politicians lean into identity politics. Effectiveness of using any particular identity by any particular candidate when facing any particular opponent is a different, and complex, issue. Targeted polling, usually done privately by campaigns, is needed to truly assess.

A debate would put Harris "out there" for people who are wondering, "Who is this person I am being asked to vote for?" I think there is a large enough segment of voters, in what will likely be a very close election, asking that question to make it worth the time and effort for Harris.
