I guess I missed the news that the FBI seized it phones from John Eastman and Nevada GOP chairman Michael McDonald, plus marched Clark out of his home in pajamas last month to search his house.
On Tuesday they also seized Scott Perry’s phone, which left him all butt hurt. He claims if they had asked his lawyer for it, he would have turned it over to them. However this is a guy who was subpoenaed to testify to the J6 committee and refused, so I kinda think he would have refused to hand over the phone.
Boebert is claiming the FBI is after Perry because he filed impeachment articles against him. MGT is screaming we must defund the rogue FBI.
Article in salon, I can’t post.

And the clown cars continue to pull up to the gate and discharge their punchinellos at Mar-a-lago. Bannon Appears on Alex Jones’s Show to Claim FBI is Preparing to Assassinate TrumpFormer Trump strategist Steve Bannon went fully conspiratorial with Alex Jones by claiming the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago was part of a “deep state” plot to have Donald Trump assassinated or found with incriminating evidence. Bannon, who was just convicted for contempt of Congress, appeared on InfoWars to continue his rampage against the FBI’s execution of a search warrant on the ex-president’s residence. “I do not think it’s beyond this administrative state and their deep state apparatus to actually try to work on the assassination of President Trump,” Bannon said. “Everything’s on the table. I think his security should be at the highest it’s ever been, and honestly…I think he should have flown down to Mar a Lago this morning, walked out at noon today, and said ‘Hey, I’m running for President of the United States. Suck on that.'” Bannon went on by dismissing the video Trump released on Truth Social that strongly suggested a new run for president. He also complained that “they’re trying to liquidate InfoWars,” referring to the near $50 million Jones has been ordered to pay the Sandy Hook parents who sued him for defamation. Calling the raid a “desecration” of Mar-a-Lago, Bannon eventually reached the debated theory that the raid was conducted in order to find the 15 boxes of classified documents Trump took with him when he left the White House. Bannon suggested the raid was “a fishing expedition, or even, a planting expedition. I wouldn’t put it past them to have planted stuff.” Bannon’s remarks come as former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik — who, like Bannon, was pardoned by Trump — claimed Democrats might try to have Trump assassinated after the raid. Now, before the FBI has gone through the evidence and said a word, Trump and his minions are saying evidence will be planted on him. Makes me think he knows evidence is actually there, so that when it’s found he can scream ‘told you so.’ And a very dark part of me would not put it past Trump to stage a very theatrical attempted assassination to further enrage and rally his minions. Fake bloodstains, bullet holes in the woodwork and all. I was never a cheerful person, but Trump has made me cynical and dark. I don’t like it.

It isn't hypocrisy. Trump has "learned": While campaigning in 2016, Trump suggested not answering questions was a sign of guilt. At a campaign stop in Iowa in 2016, Trump said, "If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?"
In his statement Wednesday, Trump said, "Now I know the answer to that question" and decried James' investigation. ...
"When your family, your company, and all the people in your orbit have become the targets of an unfounded, politically motivated Witch Hunt supported by lawyers, prosecutors, and the Fake News Media, you have no choice," the former President stated.

link Where this argument falls flat for me is that so many government people that Trump appointed, including FBI director Wray, and involved in these so called witch hunts. And so many Republicans who voted for Trump testified against him at the J6 hearings, or like Bill Barr, came out publicly against him. So yes, I could get behind a bitter witch hunt by crazy Dems and liberals, but why are all these solid Republicans going along with the witch hunt, if Trump isn’t actually a witch? I would love to know the answer to that.

National evening news stated Trump was the first president in U.S. history to invoke the 5th Ammendment.
The only question Trump answered today was his name.

Joking aside, i read this earlier: If an officer has a reasonable suspicion that there is a crime in the making or has already been committed by this person, he can legally ask the person to identify himself and the person must comply or be charged with obstructing an officer in discharging his duty. The person does not, however, have to answer further questions. Hiibel vs. Sixth Judicial District Court of Nevada

That is insane. He loves to play games. He may find it will backfire. I can't believe his attorney allowed him to only answer the question about his name. Surely there were others he could answer without incriminating or perjuring himself. He loses immediate credibility by not answering any questions other than his name. He is obstructing.
Still, I think even if Trump is criminally indicted over any number of things, it would be impossible to seat an unbiased jury. I don't foresee him actually going to trial.

As to your second paragraph, I sometimes watch Sovereign Citizen videos on YouTube. They are stopped by police for some driving infraction and having a Soverign Citizen license plate on their vehicle instead of a U.S. state's license plate. When asked by the police for their driver's license, vehicle registration and vehicle insurance card, they refuse as they state they are not required to have one. When then asked for their name they refuse to say that too. They usually end up arrested and their vehicles impounded.

So the Law and Order guys now claim that the Boys in Blue plant evidence. Bannon and Jones are practicing white collar criminals. I don't know if either ever had Law and Order in their souls. I do wonder why Bannon decided to float the idea of Trump being assassinated. Is he tired of Trump and thinking he'll do better with his plan to destroy America using DeSantis instead?

If Trump is found to have violated federal law in removing and retaining classified documents without authorization, he could be convicted of a felony punishable by five years in prison. And that conviction would be a felony carrying that punishment because of a law signed by President Donald Trump.
www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/citizen-trump-may-have-broken-a-law-that-president-trump-made-a-felony/ar-AA10wRaI?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=52d9d779762a4e0ca3907b078189a3bf
Whoever, being an officer, employee, contractor, or consultant of the United States, and, by virtue of his office, employment, position, or contract, becomes possessed of documents or materials containing classified information of the United States, knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.
With Trump’s signing S. 139 into law, that became: “ … shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than five years, or both.” And with that, it became a felony.
You can see how Trump absconding with classified material to Mar-a-Lago would facially violate the law as articulated. So Trump’s allies have already been offering a rationalization: He had declassified everything he took to Mar-a-Lago.

I also went to visit Fox to hear the snowflakes gnash their teeth about how horrible this is. Invading his house!! When he isn’t even there!!! They’re trying to create some kind of charge to keep him from running again!!! Where did all that rage and indignation go when Hillary was discovered to have sent some documents that were later called ‘classified’ through her private home email server? Remember ‘lock her up?’ Now hauling classified documents away in boxes and stashing them at your club, only returning them (or at least some of them) when told to - that’s perfectly fine and not at all jail worthy? The GOP hypocrisy is limitless. This takes it to new heights. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/the-daily-show-digs-up-old-clips-to-put-fox-news-hypocrisy-on-full-display/ar-AA10v1Vx?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=27d32cdcde7044acbf21dc2cc9b66308Check out the video. FOX in 2016 talking about Hillary with recent video on Mar Lago/Trump.

no, he didn't. he COULD have done that. but he was busy trying to subvert democracy.

I think this is exactly right - his lawyers told him to STFU because there is no telling what word salad might fall out of that mouth. Most likely it would be a full on rant about how everyone is picking on poor, poor little Trump when Trump has never done anything every other real estate firm in NY hasn’t done. Better to muzzle him.

From tv this am - the FBI went in with normal clothes, unmarked vans. No one would have known the FBI was there, to protect Trumps privacy.
No one would have known about the visit if Trump hadn’t posted his rant about it.

Now Bannon has planted the assassination bug - no matter who shoots Trump now, the MAGA public will believe it was the FBI and Biden. Sounds like I am a lefty conspiracy theorist !!
