This is where working at home is a blessing. you'd think so....but not necessarily. I am trying to get back to only checking my email at certain parts of the day. We schedule 98% of our calls. So, that really helps.

I get easily a couple hundred emails a day and some of them need to be attended to quickly (as in production floor is down until I approve a change).

Just found out my new (to me, 2 months) SUV has seat warmers. Which is nice. But not sure how I turned them on or how to turn off.

Why don't people who KNOW and talk about how they can't remember stuff take notes? You were in the same damn meeting I was in. We received the same damn information. Stop interrupting my work because you didn't take notes (neither did I as I have a fabulous memory, but I was prepared to if needed).
I have been telling this particular person about taking notes for almost 2 freaking years!

After 20 years of having vehicles with them in I don't think I'd even buy one without anymore. The Fridge actually has cooled seats as well as heated, but I don't know what kind of psychopath would use that feature!

Supper was late, my bad, so I'm going to start fixing at 3:30/4:00 going forward. DH is doing some sort of intermittent fasting thing, but I don't know the timing, just that he needs to eat early for that and medication timing and acid reflux while sleeping. Too bad he can't actually honestly share the timing of anything but that would deprive him of something to bash me about, wouldn't it? He's a grown ass man. He can feed himself if he needs to be on a schedule.

They only did imaging when you came in with insurance? That's absolutely criminal! What are people without insurance supposed to do? Curl up and die? Kill themselves? Welcome to the United States. If you don't have insurance, especially in the Southern states who didn't want to sign onto the ACA, you're basically screwed. They MIGHT give you some pain killers and send you home. They basically wash their hands of those without insurance. And still, we have too many citizens who don't want to try a national healthcare system, because it's "socialism". Ironically those people are also the first ones to stick their hands out when something happens and they need help.

Not on the arm rest or near the shifter. Google shows a button on the dash. I’m an engineer who gets paid to figure things out, and I can’t. Of course I may just have a super warm feeling in my butt and back suddenly.

I always indicate I have a penicillin allergy because as a child I passed out when injected with it. Hysterical fainting? Maybe. True allergy? Maybe. There are so many other antibiotics available now that I would be reluctant to go through testing to find out. I've only received antibiotics twice in the last 15-20 years, both times for an UTI, and the doc said they don't used penicillin for that anyway. This is one time I’d actually do the research to be sure. A lot of antibiotics are based off of penicillin’s structure and many times if you are allergic to one, you might be allergic to others. You don’t want to have to find this out when you need it for something stupid. FWIW, probably the reason why my hip infection was so treatable was because I had very rarely used antibiotics. Once you start needing the newer classes of the antibiotics, they can have way more side effects and cost much more. My IV drug bill for an old antibiotic was only about $4000/mo. My ID doc told me I was lucky my infection was responsive to an old drug, otherwise I’d need to add a 0 to my drug bill. I was on it for 6 months. This is what I was thinking. I haven't had any penicillin based medication since I was a baby, over 70 years ago. I am sure my insurance and Medicare will cover it, but I will ask when I call.

I never had heated seats before. They are wonderful.

It’s 2 pm and my brain has informed me it’s done for the day. Way too much going on this week. Pool hole is dug (and they broke our driveway for free, bringing their equipment in DMV/MVA appt for new drivers license Monday, finally-finally got funding approved for trainwreck project, which resulted in me sending off documentation at midnight last night. Babysitter off today so I get kid pickup and homework enforcement duty. Probably a good day for it, seeing as how my brain is on strike and all. I didn’t make any resolutions this year but I did put a number of things off til January and am facing the fallout now I would like to go back to bed now please.

With new insurance comes new problems. DS's insurance has changed, so I need to find him a new dentist. I think I've finally found a good one, now just praying they still take this insurance...

My Blackie used to be similar. She would not go to bed till I did. She was so old, sometimes I would give up and go as she would nod off and I felt sorry for her. So I would get in my adjustable bed and crank it up and watch telly or read so she could be with me. Hubs didn't want to, but he tolerated her when he was home. She would normally curl up in my right arm, but that was on the same side as him and she didn't like him either. So I got her to go to the left arm and she was ok. She did disrupt my sleep a lot as she wasn't real big and I was afraid I would roll on her and sometimes my arm would get uncomfortable. But I put up with the old girl, she made it to 21. I still think of her as I do BJ. Sushi is pretty old, too. He never did this when he was younger. I wonder why that is? Maybe they need to feel more secure at night, being hugged by Mom. However, i'm not going to bed at 5:30.

Black was not close to me at all. She was by herself so much when I worked and DD was gone. But I went on a trip when she was probably 10 to 15 years old for 2 weeks. She was not a lap cat. The lady was so good to her that kept her, but she said she would not come out of that corner behind her couch except at night to eat and potty for the whole 2 weeks. I had to get her out when I went to pick her up. It traumatized her or something. When I got her home, for the first time ever, she jumped up on my recliner that night, crawled up into my arm and went to sleep. After that, she was on my lap whenever and started sleeping with me. I felt so sorry for her, it was really pitiful. She was my little love.

I like to turn on the passenger seat warmer during summer months on the sly and toast DHs buns. He never catches me doing it but huffs when he notices and is sweating. Makes me and the girls laugh every.single.time. Now they watch for me to do it and stifle giggles until he huffs.

if I tried doing that, I'd get accused of not doing my job. ans everyone and their mother gets CC'd on every damn thing. 🙄 it sucks. Newer Outlook has this azucena function which allows me to assign emails tasks specifically to a person. It also means that emails show up flagged for my assignments in the 'mention' sorting column so I can see what others have assigned to me. Only a few of us use it so far and mostly folks make fun of me for doing it and trying to be hip like hashtagging. I pressing for it to catch on though because it's a nifty tool for the emails that canvass the internal world. Outlook automatically moves Azucena.email.com into To line when you mention me, so you can't forget to copy someone in if you assign them something.

Darn it, the group trip to Alaska in June did not get enough participants so I guess we'll just take a Carnival or Royal Caribbean cruise out of Galveston to somewhere. We're still solid on Cape Cod in the fall but I need a spring/summer trip. The cancellation did save us mega $$

It got up to 70 degrees here, so it’s been a nice sunny day. I am currently sitting on the deck, but it’s not as inviting and peaceful as it use to be, because the deck is a mess from all the stuff Boy has destroyed out here, including the rug. I am very unhappy about all the stuff he has damaged and destroyed out here. Between his destructive tendencies and him still peeing and pooping in my house sometimes, I regularly threaten him and Mister that I’m going to take him somewhere and drop him off. A couple weeks ago I noticed he’s been chewing on the trim on the doorway to the living room. When I finally noticed it and said something about it to Mister, he said “shit! I meant to fix that before you saw it!” Anybody want a puppy? He’s cute, but that’s about all he has going for him so far.

And in local politics, a 32-year-old female police officer who recently announced her campaign to become the Mayor of Houston, was released on bond today following multiple incidents where she, in uniform, allegedly beat her live-in boyfriend with her police baton and shot him with her Taser. Folks, you can't make this stuff up. When I said earlier that the 2023 mayoral and council member races will be a shit show, I wasn't kidding.

Puppies are a lot like kids - if they weren't so darned cute, they would not make it to adulthood. My neighbor had to replace several doors in his house because he raised 2 Great Dane puppies who nonchalantly chewed through them
