I'm trying to wrap my head around a meeting next week. I got an email from one of the attendees, saying "if you don't do this, I will do that". I've been retired from the pay world for more than a bit, but this really grated on my last nerve. I didn't reply to the email, there was no direct question asked and it went to about 15 folks. But she will be at the meeting Monday night. Thoughts, tips, hints? How to deal with this weird passive-aggressive crap? I'd call her out directly, in public. but I'm an asshole like that. 🤷♀️ pose the original question back to her, and remind her of her response via email, dated xx/xx, and invite her to respond to the full quorum. www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRb3TFRx/

I napped this morning. I can't even call it getting sleep.
I am too old for this. It's also a little dangerous as I lose my filter when I don't sleep. I lost my filter a little yesterday. And it was weird. But, also, we pretend a lot at work. I thought I could call a spade a spade. I erred a little bit. But, I also have a meeting with fun instructors for a couple of hours. So.
Lots of entertainment.

Good morning, thoughtful and wise invisipeeps of Y Ma'am. Welcome to Friday, all day. I hope yours is peppered with LOLs and includes solutions to problems that have been vexing you. Today is the day we will pack up Christmas in the house of finnime. The new storage boxes I ordered came yesterday and since it's going to be another rainy day, we'll spend it on that chore. I wish it were cold enough to snow. Instead, it's lingering at about 40 sloppy wet degrees. Yesterday I bought a new winter coat for every day use here. It has a detachable hood with a detachable fur trim. It's long, down below my butt, and has zippers on each side from the bottom to make it easier to sit as well as has a two-way front zipper. I really like it. Because it was pricey I'm declaring it my birthday present from my mother. She would approve, I know. We've had gray rainy days for the fifth day now. I'm posting a picture from a dawn last week to give a bit of cheer. It will be like this again, complete with the fairy cloud. What brand is your new coat? I just replaced my old Eddie Bauer Long Down coat with a similar EB long down coat, and I am disappointed with it. It is nowhere near as warm as the old one. Unfortunately, I got rid of the old one already. I have a EB down coat that is just above my knee that I wear for every day. That one is pretty warm, and it has a zipper pocked on the upper chest that I really like for my phone when I am walking the dogs. On really cold days, I like to use a long down coat for my walks. I am thinking I should try something like LL Bean or Lands' end. I tried to archive some info last night (on my work computer) and I don't know what happened. I did not get a report print out on it. So, I think it was terminated. I will have to go poke around. Expecting IT this am, so I may have to come in this weekend to finish the project. I got a warning that it might take a substantial amount of time, so I started at 5 pm, and left the office after 6 pm. I have so much cleaning to do at home, IDK if I will make it into the office or not. I unloaded dishwasher and re-loaded it and did dishes last night. I have a huge pile of laundry, but I have done 2 loads since I got home from our trip. Need to take down the tree and the outdoor Christmas decorations. The kids tried to do I re-make of a childhood pick at Christmas, and we were missing my Mom. I was thinking about having everyone over before I take the tree down so we could re-take the picture with everyone in it. Soup and Stew- I don't know what to tell you but I am so sorry your co-board member is being so manipulative. Pink - my thoughts are with you. I looked up your book - let us know if you find it helpful. I do not have alcoholism in my family, but my dad was Bi-Polar and a counselor once told me that the effect on me would be similar to the effect of living with an alcoholic. Jerseygirl - so glad Jerseyguy got into a room and may be released soon. re: Dementia - we are dealing with the early stages of this with my mom. Idk, hoping we can keep Mom at home a bit longer. She also absolutely refuses to quit driving. We are concerned about this also. We had tests done, idk how my brother set it up, but Mom's doctor is uncooperative. The test said she definitely is in early stages of Alzheimer's. I talked to some of her friends. They are in denial. They can't possibly not have noticed she asks the same questions repeatedly or forgets things she has been told if she does not write it down.

I’m glad it made you smile. It has at least 4 pockets. We were still in the store when I asked Mister why Boy needed all those pockets (Mister picked the jacket) and when he said “so he can put his stuff in them”, it was with a straight face like he was really serious and that’s why it was so funny to me. Why do dogs get real pockets while women get "fake" pockets (for fashion) on their clothing? So much this! I am determined to try some men's jeans next time I go shopping. I am not sure that the cut will fit me but the pockets have got to be better. My jeans pockets over the years have gotten smaller and smaller to the point that I can barely trust that the car keys or chapstick won't just fall out.

I started reading “The Body Keeps The Score” this evening. I think it’s about how long term and/or severe stress can cause so many problems, mentally and physically. I’ve only read about 40 pages so far, and decided it’s better to read it during the daytime, so I’m not thinking about it when it’s time to go to sleep. It starts with talking about veterans with PTSD from being on battlefields, and what the author learned from trying to help them. That was a bit much to read so close to my bedtime, so I put it down until tomorrow. But it’s another book that I’ve seen recommended a lot, so I’m going to read it, just not this late in the evening. I plan to read The Four Agreements next. There is a woman I’ve been following on FB since 2017/2018, who goes live a lot. It is very clear from following her, that she has done a LOT of growing since I first started watching her. Her lives started because her Mom had just died, and she found comfort in going live on FB for whatever reason. Originally her lives were her doing her makeup and offering tips. Because of her fun personality, she blew up, became FB famous, and ended up using her FB fame to become an entrepreneur. Now, she’s made millions of dollars with her online boutique, and she resigned from her good gubmint job a few years ago to work for herself. The first couple of years or so, her lives were entertaining, but also made people with a heart have compassion for her. She was fun, but also a whole, kind of ratchet mess. But she has very clearly grown so much since then. She still has the gift of gab and a great personality, but although they are still interesting, her lives aren’t entertaining in the way they were in the beginning, they are about growth and spirituality a lot of times these days. And I am proud of her growth like she is my little sister or something lol. Anyway, she is currently reading The Four Agreements with her husband. What she’s said about the book so far was enough for me to be curious about it and make a mental note to check it out. Today when I picked up my Kindle, to find and buy “The Body Keeps The Score”, I was surprised to see that at some point…. I have no idea when, and for whatever reason that I don’t remember, I’d already bought The Four Agreements. I just had never read it. Maybe I wasn’t really ready for it whenever I bought it, and it’s just been sitting there waiting for me to be ready. That is the kind of stuff I mean when I say I became a believer about “when the student is ready, the Master appears”, because I absolutely feel like that happens to me. When I am serious about learning and growing because I feel like I’m “stuck”, all of a sudden, information is just there, all around me. And even things that I’ve seen or read before, can take on a whole new meaning. My apologies for rambling again. I keep saying I’m going to start journaling instead of writing my thoughts out here, as has been suggested to me before (demanded) in a not so nice way. I am working my way toward that, but I’m obviously not there yet. I like your rambles. I often have the same thoughts, but you say it better, and have much better insight than I do. I've just kind of stumbled along my whole life doing what I was supposed to/expected to do, I've never really thought about what I want and why I do what I do.

Our systems have been down at work for a couple hours. It was fun for awhile, but now I'd really like to get some of my stuff done...

I have LandsEnd that were marked down 60 or 80%. I got the ones for real cold and they are wonderful. Got them for DD and I.
They were over $300 and ended up $80 something after discount. I have all kinds of coats, but they were all too big, these are a bit also but will wear them. We have a whole closet full of coats.
I ordered some pretty cheap new watches. I am loading up all the ones I have, buying new batteries cost more than the watches are worth.000000
I'm moping today again, working on our bedroom. I moved the half chair out where the sweeper can't go and picked up a pile of cathair, yuck. Might be why hubs is sneezing, LOL! Last night Smokey even sneezed.
He is working downstairs and now tracking sawdust up here. I don't blame him for not wanting to take his shoes off each time. He said well at least sawdust is clean, well, ok.
We were going to the city, then DD and I said why, nothing much up there. So I will run to town later to pick up perishables and scrips.
THE SUN IS OUT AND HAS BEEN! I CAN TURN OFF ALL THE LIGHTS IN HERE NOW, WONDERFUL!

I have Lands End jeans with pockets, I like them. Probably order most of my clothes from them when on sale, at least I know they are true to size.

bean29 which book did you look up? I don’t think either of them have anything to do with alcoholism. The Body Keeps Score is about how our brain and body hold on to trauma. The other one is about how our behavior can keep us from experiencing joy, or something like that.

I always wanted an old big house. This could be made pretty, but sounds like flood issues and also not in the best parts of most towns anymore. I am going to look up the history of the place, it was supposedly built in 1890.
1019 N Pearl St,
Centralia, WA 98531
And yes our basement has 2 windows, but hubs said someone weighing 400 pounds couldn't get out of them.
Down to 2 more rooms to mop, DD's and the kitty room, have to vac in it first as even with rugs they scatter some kitty litter.
Just fixed lunch, 6 shrimp for DD and smelts for me. Working on using up foods. Hubs doesn't like fish of any kind and rarely eats lunch so nothing for him.

I walked in the den and Mister’s Dad was getting ready to eat chicken wings. I asked him where he got wings from and he said the refrigerator. I said noooo, those are really old! Like 3 weeks old! He said they’re fine, I steamed them and put some pineapple chunks on them. Since he wouldn’t listen to me, I called Mister and told him. He called his Dad and told him to throw them away. Dad threw them away. At least he told me he did. I am honestly surprised his Dad isn’t overweight, because all day long, it’s back and forth to the kitchen and refrigerator, eating and snacking. He said today that we need to buy some more groceries so he can eat. And I keep getting frustrated because now we have so many dirty dishes that the dishwasher needs to run twice most days. Every time I go back to unload it and load it again, somebody has opened it and didn’t turn it back on. Yesterday, the first load hadn’t finished by the time I went to bed. I’d loaded it like 6 hours prior. So I still had a whole load of dishes that needed to go in the dishwasher. Same thing today. I loaded it, and somebody came right behind me and opened it and didn’t turn it back on. ARRRGH!!! I told Mister yesterday, if the red light is showing on the floor NOBODY OPENS THE DAMN DISHWASHER! I’m pretty sure it’s his Dad, because that’s never been an issue before. I hate to keep bringing stuff up to Mister, especially since he’s good about correcting his Dad on his own, but that dishwasher thing was driving me nuts yesterday and I was afraid that old chicken was going to make his Dad sick this morning and he wouldn’t listen to me. Which reminds me, I need to clean out my refrigerator, if I can ever get the damn ish washer to complete a cycle. I can never find the broom. His bedroom has carpet. Idk why he keeps taking the broom in there in the first place, but that’s where I usually find it. I haven’t said anything about the broom, I just go get it. Maybe I’m just cranky today, but this shit is starting to get on my nerves.

I'd be sliding down those stairs on my butt, at 44. I probably still would have, even in HS/college. eff that!

He's way more fit than I am so it's his thing. ETA: I'm feeling kind of ripped ripped now. I know it takes more than one grueling workout, but I'm still feeling fit.

Same. The cabins my parents stay at have those to the loft where the beds are. I have fallen down them when getting up to go pee at night. When we stayed over Thanksgiving I butt scooted down them in the dark. No way would I want those types of stairs as I got older especially if I had mobility issues. Otherwise it's a pretty house I just don't see it being one that would be good to buy when you are already aging.

Even if he doesn't qualify for any medical type aid you could probably find a house keeping service or something to keep the place from falling into shambles while his wife is still recovering. Care.com might not be a bad place to start. They advertise elder sitters on TV. Yeah Mister will probably have to pay for it but it sounds like dad is starting to out stay his welcome. Trade off money for sanity. Something to think about.

It's a balmy -2 out, so I went for a walk while the prednisone is still in my system. I walked about 4 kms. I'll walk while I can, before it wears off.

Day 5 of cedar pollen allergies and I'm feeling pretty good. DH is about 2-3 days behind me so a lot more miserable. "tiz the season to be sneezin"
Today has been somewhat productive - made breakfast, mopped floors, 2 loads of laundry, cleaned toilets and scrubbed kitchen sink. Tonight is just grazing - I boiled up some amazing tiger shrimp and they are chilling to be dunked in cocktail sauce along with chips and dips. Tomorrow is leftover beef chili.
Tomorrow I will finish cleaning the bathrooms, run another load of laundry and crank out a couple more chapters of the book. Sunday I'll hit up Office Max for paper, toner and other office supplies.
