Idk why, but to me, he looks like a big boy getting ready to go to school when he wears this lol. I asked Mister why does Boy need all those pockets and he said to put stuff in. Ummmmm……….. okayyyyyy. LOL! I’ve never bought clothes for any of the dogs I’ve had. But now I want to. Uh oh. He's way too cute! I wish the twins would let me put clothes on them. They tend to not make them in their size so there's also that.

Our dog and cat would actually share sweaters and dresses, they wore the same size. I think they liked the cozy feeling of wearing a sweater, neither one of them minded wearing them!

You have to go to a doctor in the US to get a scrip. The pharmacists cannot do that. A lot different here, everybody has a finger in the money pot.
To bed I got, up way to late. Still looking at my Xmas tree, hate to take it down. It's not been turned off for a couple of weeks, those tiny LED lights.
DIL bought me some pretty artificial candles. They look real and have a whole bunch of different colors you can select from with the remote. I'm really enjoying those too.
I got another box of clothes packed, DIL wants the big ones for her sister or friends they have, they are very nice clothes. I doubt I mail them though, costs too much. Also ironed some shirts while down there. Hubs got his drawing done and carried down a bunch of 2 X 4's for the wall framing. Like he saidhe only works a few hours a day. But that is a good project, has his tool trailer backed up to the garage door. Can cut things in the garage where it's dry. He has the really big TV down there where he can watch the news and a nice recliner if he wants to sit down. It may be awhile before he does the bathroom, I told him if nothing else I need a toilet. Seems like everytime I get down there, I need to use one, jeez. I need to see if we can advertise the basement rooms as bedrooms, it says on our stuff there is 4 bedrooms here so one was the basement. It was only drywalled when we moved here, no flooring, no door, closet not finished, no ceiling, that's all done now and it's also insulated all down the outside wall and vapor barrier to, so is my sewing room.

Your pharmacist can prescribe a drug to treat health problems that are common or easily recognized and treatable, and for which you had previously been diagnosed and prescribed medication. To ensure the effectiveness and safety of your drug therapy, your pharmacist can order certain laboratory tests. www.opq.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/depliant_nouvelles_activites_anglais.pdfThey can prescribe antibiotics for a UTI or chronic bronchitis, and in your case, Flagyl for your DD, etc. She's been prescribed that many times before, correct? Good morning, sagacious invisipeeps, dispelling your wisdom and sharing your efforts in Y Ma'am. Welcome to Thursday. I hope your day is rewarding and you enjoy a tasty beverage or two. As wvugurl26 said, the supply chain is a real problem in the U.S. when it comes to sought-after goods. Ozempic is just one instance. I do hold the pharmaceutical company largely responsible for promoting the medication without sufficient supply to cover the need. They have formulated a related medication for weight management, just not enough supply. So, people go off-label with Ozempic. Certainly, overweight is the source of many health problems. Interestingly, on Ozempic DH has been able to drop entirely the insulin on which he was dependent. He lost about 20 lbs. as well, coincident to the blood sugar management. Insulin can cause weight gain. I really hope he gets the necessary supply of Ozempic very soon. And your DF, too, ners. I'm going to take the recommended approach proposed by MarionTh230 and work on habit development. I have fallen into some bad ones, chiefly to do with (not) cleaning and organizing in a way that would suit me better. Today the rain should be gone. Yesterday after the heavy fog at dawn it rained pretty much all day. In the fog two tiny dinosaurs scouted the horizon from the jetty, calculating their chances of food, I think.

As wvugurl26 said, the supply chain is a real problem in the U.S. when it comes to sought-after goods. Ozempic is just one instance. One almost-invisible cost in the system is "pharmacy benefit managers". They work in the middle between pharma companies and insurers and negotiate what's on formularies and what the pharma company will charge for a particular medication. BF, whose job is to answer calls from Medicare beneficiaries who have questions, gets many cases where the Medicare beneficiary is told, "Medicare denied your prescription" when it's really the Pharmacy benefit Manager for CVS, Wal-Mart, etc. He's usually able to straighten it out with a 3-way call between him, the insured and the PBM, but how is the typical Medicare beneficiary supposed to wade through that? Here's one link explaining what they do although it's not well-formatted so hard to read. www.truthrx.org/patientinformation?gclid=CjwKCAiAh9qdBhAOEiwAvxIokzOWwDDfohabksxxSX9gA_gBtjF1-tiNZDMenQg8U9I3h5NrD36qGRoCVJUQAvD_BwEThe guy from Pella will be here in an hour or so. I'll get a quote for the same work from Anderson tomorrow. I was impressed by all the questions the Anderson rep asked over the phone. Is the house up for sale? Is it in an historic district? Will all the decision-makers be there? Is there an HOA? (Yes, there is, but when you seek approval to replace something on the exterior with something that looks just like the original it's a slam-dunk- I've done it before.) Good risk management.

Mister says the neurologist also suggested that his Dad needs chores to give him something to do besides laying or sitting around all day. I told Mister the first chore can be keeping the bedroom he is using clean. Despite all the times he’s said he was cleaning it up, it’s never been anything besides a mess. One day he told me he was so tired and I asked from what. He said cleaning up the bedroom. The bedroom mostly looked just like it did the day before, so, say what?! I also told Mister he needs to collect all those comforters and blankets his Dad keeps dragging around the house and throwing in a pile on the bedroom floor. I don’t even know how he got all of them, but wash them and put them away to solve that issue. It’s 4 comforters and a huge blanket. And insist he put his clean clothes away and use the hamper I gave him for his dirty clothes. Because it’s all jumbled up all over on the floor, and he doesn’t know what’s dirty and what’s clean, and then he starts bugging us to wash his clothes. Apparently my 14-year-old daughter and Mister's Dad are soul mates... It's exasperating in a teenager who is my legal responsibility; I can't imagine having to deal with it in a grown man who is a guest in my home!

I think there are several possible barriers to pharmacists having much discretionary authority on drugs. It took a long time here in Texas to get physicians to accept nurse practitioners and physician assistants as the doctors were very jealous of their powers. I expect they would be equally reluctant to give a "mere" pharmacist the ability to hand out even a minor drug. And I don't know that most pharmacists would want to either as we live in a world of little personal responsibility and maximum litigation. The cost of additional malpractice insurance would likely be prohibitive. In my area we have an acute shortage of pharmacists especially since Covid. It's brutal work with long hours and troubling confrontations with enraged customers who blame the pharmacist for the unavailability or cost of their drug. Add to that the risk of armed robbery for narcotics and it's not a fun job anymore.

Add to that the risk of armed robbery for narcotics and it's not a fun job anymore. Yeah, I see this when I go pick up my one prescription refill. The drive-through customers, the ones waiting, the repeated "Pharmacy call on Line 1" robo-announcements, trying to find ways to lower the costs (through GoodRx or similar) for customers in a panic over the cost, etc. And in general you're dealing with customers who aren't feeling well and are maybe stressed about their medical issues. I dropped into a CVS in a nearby town and asked about getting a refill of my prescription and she told me they were a month behind. Definitely not the stuff your learned in pharmacy school training. The guy from Pella is here and gone; I asked for quotes for two jobs (huge back windows, some front windows that haven't been replaced) and the total isn't all that awful, but I may do the second set later in the year. I have a lot of slack in my discretionary budget but hate to deploy so much of it at once this early in the year. It will be interesting to see what the Anderson rep says tomorrow.

I am at work and the paper pile is being taken care of, still large but decreasing. Until the next batch comes in.
1 tire issue already this year. I was almost at work when I heard a hiss and now need to take the car to Les Schwab up the road in a bit. I believe it's the same tire that got replaced early last year or late 2021.

Pharmacists here can do nothing, everything comes via the doctors. They can tell you about drug interactions. They can advise on OTC drugs, but they cannot refill or prescribe anything without doctor authorization. Just is not done.
Canada obviously is completely different. Sounds like a good thing, but not gonna happen in the US.

DD and I up about 9. Washed some clothes, fixed us breakfast. DD had toasted cheese and strawberry milk with her pills. I had 2 scrambled eggs, toast, and 2 slices of bacon for breakfast.
Hubs is upstairs cooling off with the ceiling fans on!! I'm sitting here with a fleece top on trying to get warm.
I'm heading into the bathroom shortly to change curtains, clean the shower and mop. Then to DD's, mop, and clean the sink and tub. Can than put my clean throwrugs down. I need to do much more today, but will I? Getting lazy in my old age I fear.

I agree that the pharmacists have little or no power here. In fact, I'm shocked they're allowed to do vaccinations. (Think flu & Covid.) There was a time when they didn't even do that. Their main job seems to be dispensing prescribed medications and warning the patients about possible side effects or drug interactions. The drug interaction part is important, because that seems to be something doctors often miss.

Well, I just shelled out almost $400 to be told the only thing I can do is watch my mom self-destruct. DH was there listening. I don't think he listens clearly. Happy New Year to me!

What really grinds my gears is you are told this but then when the eventual self destruct does happen those exact same people tell you that it is YOUR responsibility to clean up the resulting mess as next of kin.

I'm sorry. Thank you. It is weird in that it is rough. But also liberating in some ways. It is shocking to hear the threshold is when considering things like a danger themselves or someone else. Definitions of who has rights, and what kind of rights they have, at either end of the spectrum of life...it's going to come and bite people in the ass. And I know this is all the same stuff that NomoreDramaQ1015 has been willing to share out. I just also needed to hear it from a legal type person.

It makes no sense.

Just trying to connect the dots. Hopefully we're a couple of decades from this with my own mom who is 65 and hopefully she's peaceful about it. Meanwhile, my MIL who is only 63 is starting to slide. She's already legally blind since birth and now she's going deaf as was painfully obvious at Christmas when I talked directly at her and she didn't even register. And my SIL keeps taking her to dr appt after appt bc she swears there's something GI wrong. Um, smoking 2 packs a day for decades and drinking nothing but soda pop will eventually do a number on your innards.

I remember being in Toronto on business when I had really bad congestion from a cold. I chose one of their wonderful Indian restaurants and had mulligatawny- a steaming hot and very spicy soup. Cleared the congestion right up.

Made an appointment for DS to go get his passport tomorrow and apparently we're going to have to have some "training" this evening.
Me: Do you happen to have checks? They won't take your debit/credit cards.
DS: LOL No. Me: Do you know how to get a money order? DS: What's a money order? Me: It's basically like a check. Do you know how to fill out a check? DS: No.

If somebody was prescribed the same medication (Flagyl) 20 times for a chronic condition, then there's no need to go to the doctor, so the doc can get paid by insurance. I guess everybody has their hand out.
