Ava - when I was about 8 y.o. my kitten got out and was GONE. I mourned and cried for it everyday. I don't recall how long. Even when my brother said he was dead and would not return I mourned for the kitty to come back. Then, in my 20s and I certainly don't know why, a man came to the door with a tiger strip gray kitty and said it would replace my lost kitten.

This helps make sense of what I’ve been hearing at work about a supervisor I like. First I heard yesterday that she’d had a heart attack and was in a coma. Then this morning, I heard that her potassium was too low, as if that explained the coma. Whatever happened, at least the coma part seems to be true. She is only a couple years older than me. Nobody seems to know what the prognosis is. Her youngest daughter is an adult, but she has special needs, and I’m not sure she can live independently. UGH! I had a friend who died 7 times because of one low potassium event. He was mentally like dementia afterward. Usually low potassium will cause cramps as a warning. Low magnesium can cause fainting.
Yes, DH takes magnesium supplements recommended by his doctor because his cardio meds can reduce his magnesium levels. Magnesium citrate is a form more readily absorbed by the body-Costco has really good prices on it.

It isn't. I don't have a subscription. It's USA Today. Try again. I clicked on the video again, and clicked on USA Today to read other articles. It works. Got it. That woman was very lucky to not get swiped or tasted (bit)

Getting ready to board my flight back from chiver land. I had a great time and got to meet some people on my bucket list. I can't wait to do it again some day.

Oh, Pink, I'm so sorry to hear you have yet another coworker who is struggling. For instance, one of the oldest and most effective methods of controlling high BP is with diuretics. But diuretics (and other meds) can definitely make you pee out good stuff like sodium and potassium. When possible, it's almost always better to replace diminished nutrients by natural means vs a pill supplement, so DH and I eat bananas and avocados to help with the potassium issue. I hope your lady makes it, especially with her daughter's situation I have another coworker that takes medicine for high blood pressure and people talk bad about her because she runs to the restroom a lot during the day. Sometimes, almost literally running. Many of my coworkers aren’t very nice. I’m pretty sure she’d prefer to not have that kind of situation, but instead of trying to imagine what that must be like for her, and having a little compassion, let’s just talk bad about her. Thank you. I really hope she makes it too. She doesn’t work on my shift, but I’ve known her for years. She has been my supervisor before though, years ago. She’s one of the few supervisors at my job that’s not an asshole, she’s a really nice person. It's always the good people that have the bad luck.

When I got home from work, after I changed clothes I sat down in the den because the movie Mister was watching caught my interest. About 30 minutes later, YD called him and told him she had to pay $1k to the college she’s going to, and the deadline was today. I didn’t ask for details. Mister’s whole vibe changed because he was irritated, so I escaped to the deck. I guess I missed the memo where asking for $1k was as insignificant as asking for $10. My children would probably be assed out if they asked me for $1k on a Sunday. In my Kevin Hart voice…. “see the way my checking and savings accounts are set up, it takes 3 days to move money to my checking account”. I have no idea how much Mister keeps in his accounts, but if nothing else, he could put it on a cc and just pay the cc off. I’m sure he got irritated just because of the principle of the matter, waiting until the last minute to say something. At my DD’s school the LF is about $29. I might pay it. Late, not necessarily the end of the world. She should be able to grant him access to her account. He then should get reminders when tuition payments are due and ability to pay on line. Also if she has a car on campus he might want to address who pays parking tickets. My DD would get them b/c her parking area was full so she parked in a different lot. It was easier for me to pay than argue, and I didn’t want to create stress for her with everything else she had going on. The school just added the parking tickets to the monthly statement. If you don’t pay, the add interest. You can’t enroll in classes for next term till all tuition and fees are paid.

Ava, I am so sad to hear of Dali missing, and hoping that he will make his way back to you. Thank you for taking in the other kitten, who could really use a loving home. We had a quiet weekend, some workouts and lazing around. We leave for Cairns on Thursday, so excited about that! I am looking forward to the warm weather as it is still winter here. I am sure my swim suit will fit, but I can’t vouch if it will look good! I probably should try it on, I don’t want to be tugging on bits and pieces while I’m trying to snorkel and have fun. Amazon has a large selection of suits at reasonable prices. If you order today, it might work.

I'm currently waiting on pasta to finish cooking, so I can go park myself on the deck with Sunday Night Baseball. I brought the pups with me on the road trip to the airport, and fed them dinner when we got home. I haven't seen LD since he finished eating, and Punk is giving me stinkeye from the floor next to my feet. she'll be snoring soon as well.
so great to meet you IRL, andi. yesterday was a ton of fun with the group that descended here. definitely come back, we'll find more trouble!

Oh my, the stupid is strong among us. A local person is demanding that the city close a golf course in the area because, "I only see 4 people out there at one time". And suggesting that folks sneak out at night and put cement powder in all the holes. Yeah, it's called a 4-some for a reason. And this is one of the most heavily trafficked public golf courses in Houston.

I'm going to go soak in a tub of hot water with epsom salts in it. Hope it gives me some relief with my foot tonight. I am allowed 2 hydrocodone a day if needed but have never taken that many. Tonight, I just did. I'm sure it's the weather and barometer, going to rain tonight, again. It will get better once it comes up some.

I'm afraid I've got some sad news to share. My relative passed away today. It caught everyone off guard, as neither the nursing home staff nor the hospice team saw it coming. While I'm glad he's no longer in pain, he will be missed.

He ended up telling OD to give YD the card OD has on one of his accounts, so YD could pay whatever it was. That turned into OD getting bent out of shape because Mister has been getting on her about charging stuff on the card and carrying a balance instead of paying it off. Idk what that had to do with Mister telling her to give YD the card to use for something HE was going to pay off, but that’s what happened. OD has a car, but YD doesn’t.

I'll edit this if I was wrong, but I'm outside rn). between the aromatherapy and whatever the flora added to the epsom salt, I've taken more soaking baths since last month than I have in my adult life. see if you can find Dr Teal's brand.
