Returned from annual family trip to FL Keys. Weather was a bit windy, so less lobster caught than usual. 2 of my 3 kids were there with 2 of 3 grandkids. We did a lot of babysitting while DD went out on the boat, fun but tiring.
All traveling went well with only minor issues.

I also realized that for the first time in 47 years...(yes, Mr. guy at the farmers market, thank you for checking that the missy is indeed my child. Because she''s not my 10 year old's kid). I digress... The first time I get to pick out a color for a room and NO ONE ELSE NEEDS to agree with it. . This is on the heels of buying a car I wanted for the first time at 46.
No wonder why they say your 40s are so awesome. Oh dear god. If we can improve his room configuration, I might even get some space to myself. We lost the ability to have bathrooms our quiet/private adult space when the pandemic started.
I hope you have better car luck than me. Got rear ended again yesterday. Car is not even 1 year old yet.

Sorry bean that car just seems cursed.
Since I like to torture myself the second ever batch of macarons are sitting getting their skins before going in the oven. I say torture because they are difficult to make and I can't even eat them.
They are the favorite of one of my niece's and she's had a rough week. Plus I came back from traveling to find some old eggs in my fridge which are perfect for macarons.

I am even now optimistic that I might enter a period of my life where I won't hear "Moooooom I need......" every 3.34 minutes. One day I got so tired of hearing Mooooooooom that I told my then 5 year old my name was not MOM. My next door neighbors daughter who also baby sat for me showed up with her little brother to see if little NNP could come out to play. Little NNP asked Debbie what he was gonna call me since my name was not MOM anymore. It’s a miracle my son turned out to be a normal well adjusted adult. You folks conjuring up some sweet memories of a long ago past.

They asked, well what’s your name. I said Matumba. Idk why I chose that lol. From then on, if I was trying to ignore them, they would call me Matumba. It became a running joke when they got older.

If I have a stroke or heart attack, it will be due to a loudly shouting surveillance system in a shopping center parking lot screaming as I go by, "Please move away from the camera base - this is an automated camera system designed to protect shoppers - move away immediately!" I'm just walking across the parking lot trying to be a freaking shopper you automated electronic piece of crap I swear, the last thing that camera records will be a muffin-topped, silver-haired white woman blowing its power supply to hell.

Mister took Newbie to the Emergency Animal Hospital this morning. I was at work, worried as hell. He said her face and paws were swollen and she had bumps all over her body. He figured it was an allergic reaction to something, but then she was lethargic and wouldn’t eat. Not even one of her treats, and she’s a greedy lil something. After what happened with OG, he wasn’t taking any chances, so he took her to the doggie ER. I agreed he should take her. They said it was an allergic reaction, gave her a couple of shots and told Mister to get her some Benadryl. He said the swelling had already started going down on their way back home. We have no idea what caused the reaction though.

We now can get to DS's closet. Which is important for the great bedroom switch of 2022. We made another bag of trash, and three bags of donations.
I am tired of going through stuff though. I will probably complain about it another 2342323 times before Halloween.

We have no idea what caused the reaction though. Do you think she could have gotten stung? We've had a lot of wasps around here lately. I'm glad she's feeling better! It’s possible. She tries to catch wasps. I’ve seen her use her paw to step on one, then try to get it in her mouth, of course I made her leave it alone. Mister and I both have been wracking our brains trying to remember if we’ve used something different in the house lately. Neither of us can think of anything. Thank you! I am too. I think the Benadryl has her a little woozy. We keep trying to get her to lay in her spot on the sofa, next to Mister, but she keeps getting down and following me around the house instead. She’s moving kinda slow though and looking funny by the eyes. I just had to sit down again, so she will lay down. Nobody said she needs to rest, it’s just me being me, knowing that she wasn’t feeling well earlier and it’s me wanting her to just relax and rest.

Oh, and they said my baby is obese. She doesn’t look like it to me, but if that’s the professional opinion, I won’t just ignore it. Mister feeds her, and I use to think he wasn’t feeding her enough. I guess it’s good I’m not the one feeding her. I think he’s only feeding her the recommended amount though. We’ll have to figure it out, I don’t want her to be obese, because I know it’s not healthy for her.

One more thing….. I got some halfway decent sleep last night! I did still wake up several times. But I went back to sleep. It wasn’t the best sleep ever, since it wasn’t just straight sleep, but it was the best sleep I’ve had in a VERY long time.
I felt so much better that I was actually in a good mood this morning getting ready for work. And on the drive in, I kept thinking “OOH WEE!”, this feels SO much better. Seriously.
When I talk about my insomnia, sometimes I feel like people don’t really “get it”. I don’t think Mister really gets it. I just told him a couple days ago that as much as he likes to sleep, imagine if he only got about 4 hours of sleep every night for months and months, despite his best efforts, and at least half of those 4 hours were just dozing off for a few minutes at a time.
That is what my sleep has been like. And that’s why I was so happy this morning lol.

The two kitties are talking to us more. They have been chattering away and meowing at us the last week. Hubs said even to him. I know Tig has gotten aggressive when he wants milk. I will have the carton out and he reaches up and tries to pull it toward him. So yes, you can have your milk. The cat food is in the cabinet above the washer so they jump up there when wanting fed. And are being vocal too. They want out, they just on the laundry sink by the door and reach for the handle. Now Smoke has found a table on the front porch and he knows I can see him from my recliner. So he stretches up the window so I can see him and I let him in. They are really doing well on training us. Right now I have a big kitty stretched out between my legs. Figure he will get to warm and move pretty soon.
Maybe they think the meowing tells us what they want. Get a kick out of them.

I was to get my hair touched up today and apparently my colorist is sick again, she has been off and on the last week so they cancelled my appointment. Darn, I'm pretty discolored.
So hubs and I ended up going to the city and buying the countertop and sink. We didn't get the kitchen flooring today. The color is Sea Pearl, think it will look nice in the rental. $735, not bad for something that will really freshen the kitchen. I'm going to clean all the cabinets and stain the front and back door.
While at it we went out for dinner and took DD dinner home. The weather is beautiful out this week. Not too hot, not to cold, hope it stays this way for a while.

Mister is watching a movie, where Jamie Foxx is killing vampires. I thought I was going to watch it with him, but about 3 minutes in, NOPE. I would never go to sleep tonight, and I’ll have nightmares if I do.

It has finally hit me why my Covid toilet paper stash is gone. Brought in the last case today from the garage.
It is 8 rolls and each roll is larger than the ones being sold now. I've been using those also. All they sell in my brand now are 6 rolls. So I am not getting as much in each box. So instead of receiving 24 rolls in a case, I am now receiving 6 small rolls. Shrinkage. And they cost more than the 24 rolls a case did.
Just changed the subscribe and save order.

It would have me double flipping it off too and words that a lip reader had never heard before Never run into parking lot screamers before but that would piss me off to the highest order of pissdom. Probably coming to a store near us all now

Contemplating. Made a run to Walmart for a couple things and looks like they are selling off some of my favorite frozen lunches. Might see if I can repack the freezer and go buy a couple in the morning. Must be dumping some of the choices.
Of course, earlier in the week I bought some frozen meals on sale and a 5lb bag of tater tots. Hope I am more motivated tomorrow.

I think we feed Harriet about half of what she should get for her weight. Sheldon the same.

Last night, neighbor called another asking if she would drive him to the ER. This was about midnight. Neighbor winds up calling EMS, neighbor in distress had a blood oxygen level around 70%. Thought he had pneumonia.
Neighbor is now in ICU with heart issues. We have taken his dog in to take care of him while neighbor is in hospital. Looks like Trip has no interest in Sheldon, and is quite comfortable with Harriet (since TD and neighbor walk the dog# together).
I met a friend at the outlet mall in Tulalip to look for a new wallet. I walked out with a new purse too. Had lunch with friend and drove home. It was nice to see her again, our schedules don’t mesh very well these days.

I am the 5am person. Didn't matter if we were half dead dad rode at dawn! Although I AM a night owl, I prefer to hit the road before sunrise. That way I'm alert at the time of day that everyone else is wearing down. The last time I drove to San Diego, California, I left at 7pm. My dad kept telling me to wait until 5-6AM, which is when I would be tired. I drove straight through (11 hrs). For me, it was perfect!

OMG! I'm so sorry! Does having experience help? That totally sucks!
