I just ran the dishwasher for the 3rd time today. We didn't even cook a meal to eat today.

I closed the blinds and drapes on the 11 ft of windows almost 9 foot tall and the room is sooooo much warmer already. Tomorrow we hope to do the 2 end windows. That still leaves the patio doors but I doubt we do anything with those.
Wednesday we get the fireplace serviced. I told hubs it will be nice to have in case we lose electric. At least we will have heat without running the Genny.
I just checked out expenses for the month. we are over $5k, will see what the next few days bring. We seem to spend a lot. But they doubled up on my supplement premiums so I have paid $350 extra I hope to get back. Well, actually for 2 months so almost $700 I should get back.I have the letter saying when we were insured and now can mail it to Aetna, they won't take my word for it. And groceries are near or at $1000 for the month, unbelievable. And Medicare premiums almost $1k a month, so I guess after utilities we aren't spending that much. this includes utilities in Indiana. Near $400 a month for all of them and $1300 for the 2 lot rents. Hubs is spending from his account for the remodeling stuff so that is not added in. But I want to stay within the $6k a month and not take from elsewhere. We are fine. Need to cook from home more though, eating out was probably $500. And we have only had one sit down meal and the rest is fast food for the month. Neither of us has purchased much personal things. I will work at it again next month. I've only spent $45 for gas and I think hubs only filled up once from his account. That is really something for us.

Giramomma-Great news on being cancer free. Congrats on new car.
Chloe-I color my hair about every 4 weeks b/c DH doesn’t like it when my roots are showing. I would probably hold off for 6-8 weeks otherwise.
I am falling asleep. Left work Friday and was at hospital till maybe 11 pm. , which is at least an hour past my bedtime. DH works Sat am and he canvassed for Kamala Harris 2Saturdays this month. I stayed home in am yesterday and cleaned. We don’t leave dogs alone more than a short time. So I got to hospital about 2:30 and stayed till 8:30 pm, and left my house about 6:40am this morning as mom had heart Cathertization scheduled. Mom landed in hospital b/c leaking valve caused congestive heart failure. They gave her Lasiks (diuretic) and Heparin via IV. She had 2 blockages, and he said heart is functioning at about 40% on one side and 50% on the other side. He said they would not do surgery on her and they did not place any stents. DB looked it up and said that was low end of normal range. He was out of room when Dr. came in, so he will try to talk to him tomorrow. They will do EKG or ultrasound on heart tomorrow am to see if valve is still leaking.
Mom looks much better and is getting up to use bathroom. I left about 1:30 to run to Assisted Living place and get my mom pull on pants better than what my sister brought. Sister’s choice was ok, but I knew there were better options there. Came back about 3 and stayed till about 4:00. Told sister to order food about 5 and it would take about 45 minutes to come. I had to go get my dogs from in-laws. DH and DS were working on DS rental property. DS came to see his Grandma yesterday.
Good night all. Thanks for well wishes for mom.

Finally sat down for once today. Well, I did watch the second half of the Chiefs game, but I dozed off. When I woke up the Bears/Commanders game was wrapping up. The Chiefs were so far ahead I'm sure they won.
Friday my cousins came over and erected the fence. We ripped up most of the garden and moved some more loose stuff. The sellers didn't clean their house right and it still smells like a dog. Luckily I bought all these appliance cleaner tablets because of that fact. While everyone was here we figured out that the dishwasher was shot. I put the cleaner tablet in and started it and there was water all over the place! At least the disposer cleaner took the sewer smell away.
Saturday the movers came. While they were moving stuff, my dad and I packed up both of our cars and brought more over. This included the twins. You should see how happy they are running around in a new huge backyard! Seeing them so happy makes me happy.
Today my cousin came and fixed a leak in the basement, replaced some outlets and installed a new dishwasher. His wife helped me organize and unpack a little. The kitchen is about 75% done. It's starting to come together. I have a goal of unpacking a box a day minimum. Hopefully in a week or two we'll be settled. This is such a great house. I'm really happy I got this one. Even if it smells like a dog that's not mine.
Next up is duct cleaners and a tree trimmer. There are 4 trees in the backyard. Two of them are dying. I'll have them cut off what's already dead and see if we can salvage what's left. I'd really like to keep them for shade. Fingers crossed!

They finally came out and repaired the transformer so the sparks and flames have stopped for now and the power is back for now. Thank you all for listening and supporting me. I know my fear of fire is irrational and I will continue to work on it Glad you're safe. That would scare me too!
